Big elephant in the room?

Hey, everyone!

Just wanted to ask something that´s been hanging in the air lately and no one really wants to talk about it or think about it, me included. I´ve been debating with myself whether to open this thread or not, because, once I do, it´ll become real, but, as the end of Lost approaches (), there´s less and less time, and I think we should be prepared.

So, the question is: what will happen with LF once the finale airs? I know it will probably get closed, but do you guys have any info on when? I think I heard The Fuse is closing like...2 weeks after the finale (not sure about this though), which, in my opinion, is too soon, because people will still want to discuss it and this show. What´s LF´s policy about it? I really hope we could get at least a month after the finale airs, to have enough time to save everything we want to say and to say goodbye with this forum and the people in here properly.

That being said, I also wanna say big thanks to Gertie and all the mods here, because you guys, together with the members, made this place kinda like an online home. It´s the first site I ever registered on and the only one I visit on daily basis. I think I´ll miss LF more than I´ll miss Lost

I highly doubt they're gonna close the LOST related threads so soon. There'll be so many things to comment to at least 4-5 weeks after the finale.

Also remember the LRT are the main, but not the only, threads of LF. Maybe we can shift from Lost to Flashforward...

Well, sites like this cost money.
If the advertising, income, and interest fades, the site will go down quickly.

Sad stuff, but with these things happen when a show ends.
With enough fan support you may see spinoff shows, movies, graphic novels, etc

I've been wondering about this for awhile, but no one ever said anything so I got kind of hopeful...

If it costs to much, maybe it would help if only some of the site was kept up?

And if we shift from Lost to Flashforward that will just break my heart

Only a month to digest the bound-to-be-epic finale, talk about it, say goodbye to the forum and forumers? I would've thought more, like, about a year.

I'm going to seriously miss this place though. Thank you Gertie and mods for making these last years so amazing.

Honestly, it's up to Gertie. When we find out for sure what's going to happen, we will notify all of you. Until then, just enjoy and keep posting.
