The official "I hate Juliet" thread

The other anti Juliet thread is closed due to it spiraling into bashing the actual actress, this is NOT acceptable by any means and is dealt with accordingly, continued violations of the actor bashing rule in this thread, you will face a temporary ban. READ the rules and stick to the CHARACTER and yes any hits at the actress' physical appearance IS actor bashing! Actor Bashing
This is an issue that's been coming up a lot more lately. If you don't like the character, fine. If you think an actor isn't very good, fine. But know where to draw the line. Bashing looks and other things that are part of the actor, NOT the character, is not ok and it needs to stop. Thinly veiled shots at the actor/actress, disguised as a comment on the character, is not ok.

'She looks like a man.' 'He's ugly!' Comments of that nature are not comments on the character, they are bashes on the actor, and it will end. 'She wasn't very convincing in that scene,' 'He's a horrible actor,' or 'His hair didn't look good,' comments pertaining to the characters or the ABILITY of the actor, are fine. Mods have been getting complaints, and we have noticed this issue ourselves. Starting now, we will not hesitate to delete posts and warn members for outright actor bashing.

As always, if you don't understand or have any questions, PM a Mod.

So hate the CHARACTER all you want and post about that..but stick to what applies to the CHARACTER and leave the actress out of this.

What is it that I don't like about Juliet at all?

Well for starters, she is very arrogant and has that "I'm right and your'e not" attitude 24/7.

And many times she still seems to be with Ben secretly.

Plus she doesn't really get on too well with kate, and Kate rocks.

Here is the major reason why I'll NEVER like Juliet.

I'll post it if I have permission to do so. (this may be a bit political, but this covers a major issue I have with Juliet and it is also a ethical issue).

It happened during the events of Raised By Another AND One of Us.

I trust Sawyer's judgement of her. She would have shot Kate without even blinking. She might be on the survivor's side right now, but just because it suits her own needs. She knows she has a better chance of getting off the island if she is on their side, but she'd turn on them without much guilt if she had too.

... besides that, I hate the way she acts around Jack. She's probably smarter than him, but acts all inferiour and femme fatale to appeal to Jack's need to be needed. Around other people, she puts up another side of her personality to win their trust.

took the words right out of my mouth. i feel her character's impact and importance is HIGHLY overrated.

honestly, the last few episodes she's barely been on, and it's been nice. i liked season 3, but the ONE thing keeping me from rewatching the episodes as much as i rewatch seasons 1 and 2 is Juliet.

i really just don't like her stories at all, not her stories on the island or off. we already know why she's on the island and how...she doesn't need to contribute any more. her character is not sympathetic to me even with her sob story about her sister and wanting to leave the island. she constantly acts like she's better than everyone, and thinks she has the right to do whatever she wants.

and the thing that bugs me the most? with all her mind games, manipulations, sense of entitlement, arrogance, and condescending attitude toward the losties, she STILL acts like she's so innocent and at no fault. ugh!

i hate Juliet. worse and most useless character, imo. no story, no interesting backstory, no purpose except to sit there and be condescending with that stupid smirk.

I've disliked Juliet ever since the first episode of Season 3, in the first scene we ever saw her in. Because anyone who burns poor defenseless little muffins MUST be evil.
