Oh and am I the only one who has noticed how many scenes they are sharing now that Charlie is gone, and they look to have more next episode. I'm loving season 4. Oh and hi by the way, I'm new here, but I absolutley love Claire and Locke!

I think it's safe to say that Coake is still on the table now. That look he gave Claire when he saw her in the cabin almost killed me. So startled yet caring and confused, haha.

Now that Claire seems to be in communion with the island makes it even better. Oh, what I would give to see Locke with that kind of crazy, smug smirk on his face that Claire has. That he knows absolutely everything and has not a smidge out doubt in himself. The awesomeness would be too much to calculate. I'd like to see both of them sitting there in the cabin, staring at each other with all-knowing grins.

I liked the scene between Locke and Claire when she asked him to talk to Miles, she looked like a stronger and more mature young woman than people would think after she has spent 3 seasons mostly in the role of 1) a kidnapped mom, and 2) the love interest of Charlie Pace. I think she's more interesting without that cutesy "romance". I thought that Locke needed someone to talk to him and stand up to him as a friend.

You know, I don't know if I'd like to see anyting romantic between those two or not. But I certainly do like their interactions and I'd like to see more scenes between them. She and Aaron bring out the caring and sensitive part of Locke.

Well, most of the time, at least... Was anyone else upset that he didn't seem too concerned about her and the baby during the attack of Keamy's men? Instead, it was Sawyer who cared about saving her - Sawyer, who has previously had, what, two conversations with Claire, and looked at Aaron once, when he thought he needed to be nice in order not to be voted out of the camp? Sometimes Locke just seems too obsessed with the Island itself and its mysteries, to actually care about people, and that tendency has been particularly noticeable in season 4. It's like he's been so obsessed with the Island, the cabin and Jacob and everything, that he's been cutting himself off from everyone.

Of course, now that Claire is... whatever she is there in the cabin with Christian (who is...whatever he is )... I wonder what what further role she'll play in regards to Locke, Jack, Aaron and the island.

One thing that I've been thinking about, especially after Cabin Fever... People are always saying that Locke was trying to be 'fatherly' not just to Aaron, but to Claire (which is a bit of a cliche, really. I personally saw them as friends, not father/daughter kind of relationship. People are only saying it because of his age. Jack is also always trying to help and 'save' people as well - but nobody says that he is "trying to be their father"! Does age really matter on the island, unless you're actually a child like Walt or a baby? I always thought they were all adults trying to survive and working together and that age barriers had ceased to exist very soon after they crashed). I rarely see people mention the more interesting parallel between Aaron and John (both "special" babies), and the obvious parallel between Claire's situation and that of Emily Locke. Both were very young single mothers, Emily gave up her son for adoption, while Claire intended to give up her baby for adoption... I recently rewatched the episode in which Locke builds the cradle for Claire, and you can see the brooding look on his face when she says she wanted to give the baby up for adoption. (That was before we learned about his past, I think. ) So Claire is in the similar situation to Emily, but she's also her complete opposite, she's nice, reasonable, caring, responsible, loves her son, she's everything that John's mother wasn't. I think that this gives an interesting level to their relationship.
