Alex really Ben's daughter

Lori, shortly after Danielle gave birth to Alex, the Others came and stole Alex. I believe that Ben took Alex and raised her as his daughter. Some theorize that Ben and Danielle were together and that Alex really is Ben's biological child. They think that Danielle then had her memories altered. I, however, believe that Alex is considered Ben's daughter because he raised her and there is no biological connection between them.
