What do you do with Traitors?

I used to go to this huge forum called gaiaonline.com Tons of stuff there. I mostly hung out in the Anime sections. One day, my roommate and I decided to state our opinions on Kikyo from Inu Yasha: we hate her. We totally got flamed for those opinions and eventually started a guild for other Anti-Kikyo believers could join. Well, one thing lead to another and my roommate and I couldn't keep up with gaia as much as we used to, so she handed the guild over to her brother. Eventually, the same happened to him, so he passed the guild over to their two younger sisters.

Well, apparently two of our guild moderators were angry/upset they weren't given the guild. It seems that spite is the only answer for what they did. They deleted every. single. thread and post in our guild. All the long discussions, all the well thought out posts I made and my roommate made discussing why we hated Kikyo and sited examples to back our reasons up are completely gone. They then made their own new guild and when I signed onto this board, there was a PM waiting for me in my inbox inviting me to their new guild.

I can't explain how disgusted I am. And I'm kind of laughing to myself because this is the internet, but then again... what they did was very dishonorable. Very uncool. They also completely broke the trust that was given to them as moderators.

I hope you guys understand that us mods here would never do such a thing to you guys.

So, whatchya think should be done with these two traitors? I'd like to burn them at the stake, but that'll get me banned. :D

And I know how hard it is to make a guild, and let me tell you.... that IS downright mean. I say you burn them anyway. ;)

Oh definitely not joining their new guild. I don't frequent that place often enough, but this was just crappy of them to do to my roommate's sisters, who go there all the time.

I was Might.Peanut.... I won a lotto which was like WOAH and I had allll these cool items and clothing and stuff... but then I sent them all to my cuz for her birthday, because I lost interest in the whole place.. too many n00bs. :rolleyes:

I didn't like gaia as much as other forums because it's way to big and there are way to many people on it that are worthless. I mean worthless as in they're basically trolls that do just enough to piss people off, but not enough to get banned. A lot of other people are just rude. It's a place for like middle schoolers (no offense to anyone here) to go and chat about whatever, which is fine, they just get bratty and rude when you disagree with them.

That's why I like this forum so much, is because you can actually make friends here, and talk to people... on Gaia, I hardly ever saw the same person twice. :confused:

lol Damn straight, icy! I like smaller communities where you can build friendships and such with other people. I guess that was the point to making guilds, but we've seen where that goes now. lol

depending on my mood, i'd either
a. flip it right back to them (in short, build up a false sort of thing,like they had with you, and then press that shiny red button, DESTROY).
b. ignore it and let karma take its course
c. send 'em a message that basically says, "no, dude, you suck."
d. send 'em a message that makes them cry because they feel horrible.

i've actually done option b. but it was a phone call to a "friend," not a message to a jerk. but either way works.

however - since they betrayed you so hardcore, you've got to consider that once they realize your message is not postive, in all likelihood, they'll be like "...Deleted." and not think twice of it. you may feel better, but it might not have the effect you want.

maybe you could send them a virus!!!! :D

Traitor punishment = shot, hung, stabbed, drawn, quartered and then the quartered parts mailed to the ends of the earth there to rot!

like was said, do the same to them! get on their good side, be uber kinda and then offer up to help since, you know, it is hard work what they do. then destroy the place.

Well, i don't think that'd be a good idea..cause as you said, some people haven't done anything wrong, plus i don't think the place is worth fighting for.

Btw Raven, could tell you a similar story..and i'm glad that we can open up our minds here, without the mods or admins feeling attacked or harrassed like on other boards.. The first time i spoke my mind up to a mod here, i was like: am i gonna get banned for that, or is my post gonna be deleted? And i was happy to see that it wasn't the case.

Glad you had that good experience! That is one of the reasons why I like this board so much. Everyone here is grand.

Though, be sure that when someone does break the rules or try to make our lives here miserable, us Mods will not hesitate to deal punishment. ;)
