yay! for matt i hope he wins, i also hope lost wins in all the catagoriesIf Matt wins I don't care if Lost loses. Lost is a TV show... it's creaters are gaining a lot of money and that is probably what they really care about. Producers want money, and they almost always do anything for it. If lost wins, they win more money, and more fame for their careers, that's all. Lost is only a TV show. To me all that matters is that Matthew is recognized for the wonderful actor he his. And if Lost loses... only the creater's egos and pockets lose. The next big money bag that comes in will make them smile so it isn't really important.

yeah, i really hope lost and especially matt wins, its time for matt to be formally recognized for his hard work, he's been in this business a long time and hasn trecieved much recognition but he's still amazing in my boat

The network would like Lost to win though and Foxy is important to the show. We don't want it to ever get cancelled (although I don't see that happening soon). I hope he wins though. He really deserves it!Whit I am not so sure Emmys keep any show from being canceled. What I have seen happen in the past isn't exactly that. A show wins recognition from it's peers but that isn't the same as getting ratings from normal home viewers that often like or dislike a show for all the wrong reasons not really for it's value.

There are plenty of shows that are really bad and have a large following, and others that are really good and don't have ratings, although they have Emmys on the shelf. Party of Five was one that was canceled after winning an Emmy (or was it a Golden Globe ?) Makes no difference, Emmy or GG are the same. Many wonderful shows won GG and Emmys and still got canceled so I don't think it would make any difference for Lost's future. It would make a difference for the curriculum vitae of the producers and writers but I think that's all.

If Emmys where given by the same public that tunes in to Lost every week... it would be very important that Lost win all the Emmys and GGs it can, but since the ones that decide if it is worthy has nothing to do with the public that raise the ratings, it makes no difference after all. I wish it did.

So far Lost has gotten good reviews and good ratings. Which is great !
I HOPE it continues like that. BUT specially I HOPE it continues to get GOOD RATINGS even if it never gets any Emmys or GGs... Because in Hollywood all that matters are the ratings and the money the show makes.

Sadly it isn't about the quality BUT the quantity...

omg total matt moment today!! i was at the library looking for magazines with Lost in them, and i found these REALLY old teen mags from when i was into NSync and BSB, well, there was a little pic of a magazine ad that was advertising the Dawsons Creek special magazine, and there was this TINY pic from PO5 and i was totally freaking out! i was just like oh please let there be a big pic og matt, but no luck, but there was stilla tiny pic of him so it made my day lol
