6/10 felt very sloppy for the first 30 mins. Second hour was definitely the stronger one. Worst fears realized with the Flash-Parallel, but I'll see it out before I judge the idea.
8/10
Not the strongest season opener, but a pretty solid 2 hours. :)

Honestly didn't think it was up to Lost standards. Maybe it was just too long of a hiatus, or knowing that this is the end, but I was expecting more. Yes, some questions were answered and I am, of course, holding out hope that this just sets up an amazing final season, but right now I don't like what's happening.
There have been many times over the Lost years that I have found myself sitting in front of the tv with chills, speechless. Tonight was not one of those nights :blank:

I honestly don't think this episode was that strong. I don't like the alternate reality idea.
well. I gave it a 10. partially because I am so happy that Lost has finally returned. the show kept me very interested and entertained for 2 hrs. I really did enjoy the alternate reality part of it. But it does bring up lots of questions too. So, a very good start in my opinion.

Disappointing. Seems like the show is either prepared to introduce aliens as the solution to many questions or following the Heroes death formula of going in a completely new direction. Much of the episode was just stretching, such as the time it took to dig out Juliette or save Sayid. I still love theshow and I know many will say it's fantastic no matter what, but I'm getting tired of the same themes being repeated over and over and over and etc

Well, I'm not going to enjoy this alternate reality thing.
Other than that, I thought it was alright. Juliet didn't need to die twice. The whole temple thing is...interesting, but a bunch of new characters, and meh. Losing hope that the end will be anything but sad.
Not to be a negative nancy. I'll rewatch it tomorrow.

I went with a very solid 8. Glad to see the show back. It answered some questions, posed a few new ones, set up quite a bit for the last season. Yep, solid 8.

I think it started with scenes from a future that will be made possible by the scenes that we're seeing in the temple. "It worked." Our favorite characters just don't know it yet. Like Neo in the first Matrix, they don't realize what they have it in them to do, but they're going to do it.
It's going to be poignant to see how they wrap up the show, one way or the other. I gave this episode a 9/10. They've thrown many balls up in the air, and I think they're going to catch the important ones.
Kate... why oh why after seeing Jack bring Charlie back to life.... where would you find the audacity to stop Jack from working on Sayid? That was a frustratingly stupid moment.

I think it was probably the best season opener since the pilot. Once the shine wears off I'll see if that still stands, but right now I can't think of any other premiere with more cool stuff.

Am I reading properly? Some of you guys say that there were questions answered.
Like what? That Locke is in fact "smokey" was so obvious since the s05 finale.
What are these answers you guys are talking about because I didn't get any.
(Don't get me wrong I liked the episode, in fact I enjoy having questions it gets me more anxious about the next episode.)
But for me it just added more:
Richard chained?
Dust that stops "smokey"?
Temple people?
The stewardess? And kids?
Sayid alive?
And if Sayid died they were all in trouble?
Juliet surviving the fall AND the bomb, says it worked, THEN dies?
"Parallel universes"?
And these are just the few of the new ones

Ditto this ^ (I gave it a 9, though. Only because I can't bring myself to rate a best episode ever, ever.)
It's the best solution, and it is typical Lost; going for a deeper and more complex story than expected.

I enjoyed it. 8 out of 10.
I know a lot of people are busting on the parallel universe story but its kind of interesting to see how the Losties' stories might of played out if the Island had never got involved.
The on-Island stuff kind of dragged for the first hour. Flocke as Smokey was great...I'm glad he exterminated so many of the extras. The whole temple thing was strange but still predictable. Whats up between Flocke and Richard? And who does Richard think Flocke really is? And where is Flocke's 'home'?
I'm looking forward to the rest of the season now.

Back with a bang.
As with many Lost episodes, so much going on that it`s hard to really judge it at first. But there were definitely more things I liked than disliked.
My favourite part was the Temple. This is the type of Indiana Jones - epic adventure I love, I even wish the journey to it had taken longer. The fountain of life, the (real) Others, Sayid`s resurrection, preparing for war...I loved it all.
What I disliked the most, however, are the Jack, Kate and Sawyer of the Temple timeline. I`m sorry but I still cannot buy this great love between Sawyer and Juliet, no matter how much he cries. They continue to waste his character like this, and the love triangle seems set to continue. First Kate "chooses" to run to Jack first, but then is gushing over Sawyer in the Temple? Whatever.
The alternate timeline on the plane (I guess whatever happened DIDNT quite exactly happen, eh?) was very interesting, especially because of the little things that seem off, like Desmond and Boone. I loved their cameos along with Claire and Charlie, though I really wish there had been more. The Jack-Locke stuff off the plane was great too, though to be honest I have no idea where this is going. Do I want a large part of the season to focus on these "alternate" flashes and show how their alternate lives develop? Probably not, but we`ll see.
Oh and the Evil Locke stuff was fantastic too. No idea where it is going either, but wherever it is, I`m on board.
Overall I`d probably place this as the 3rd or 4th best premiere, which is good.

I gave a 9, but my feelings are a bit more mixed than that.
Basically, any scene that had Terry in it (LAX or island) crackled and was absolutely superb... and everything else ranged from superb to just par.
I feel Beginning of the End (s4) was stronger, Because You Left (s5) was weaker... and this is somewhere in-between. Not sure how I'd compare to S1-3.
First Kate "chooses" to run to Jack first, but then is gushing over Sawyer in the Temple? Whatever.
I don't understand: why are fans so adamant on interpreting ANY show of affection between Kate and a male co-star, especially if that co-star happens to be Sawyer or Jack, as intimate? Can she not simply CARE about people? Kate and Sawyer are OVER. There was absolutely NOTHING in the premiere to suggest that this isn't the case, and about thirty minutes of Juliet dying and Sawyer angsting over Juliet dying to suggest the exact opposite. In fact, you mention this at length right before you go back to critiquing "the triangle!"
The triangle is dead, and has been dead for a long, long time. Sometimes I get the impression that the only way the triangle would definitively end in some peoples' minds is if Kate, Sawyer, and Jack all died.
But then, given the precedent set by Locke and Sayid, maybe that wouldn't be convincing enough either.

Nope, they definitely were trying to continue the triangle. Look at how the scenes were portrayed. At first in the jungle, Kate sees Sawyer, and THEN spots Jack. The camera gets a reaction from her, showing how she's making a decision, which is to help Jack first. That was definitely intentional.
And there were a million ways to get Sawyer back on his feet at the Temple without Kate by his side being all cuddly. If they wanted the triangle dead, they wouldn't have done that scene, but they did.

You are choosing to read romantic undertones into these scenes. The show does absolutely nothing to suggest that her decisions are in fact based on romance and not on, say, platonic affection, ie. friendship?

To be fair, while he is choosing to read romantic undertones in those scenes, he's not without reason to do so. This triangle has been written into these characters' DNA from day 1, and the writers know that. So anything that can be interpreted as fuel for the triangle in this case, I think it plausible to assume that was indeed the intent. It didn't bother me though, compared to everything else going on in the episode this amounted to basically a blip on the radar.

I suppose how much "reason" is sufficient is a pretty subjective matter.
You're right in that to a degree the triangle was in the characters' DNA from day 1... but at the same time, when the writers make overt attempts at gene splicing, fans have to meet them halfway and say "Even if I don't like it, this is the story they want to tell."
Kate and Sawyer have not had a clear-cut romantic moment since There's No Place Like Home in season 4. And before that? Eggtown, more than half a season back. And now Kate TALKING to Sawyer is indicative of their flame being rekindled? Gimme a break. :p

6/10
It just fell flat compared to the previous two premieres. It felt like one of those episodes whose entire purpose was to lay the groundwork for the next episode. I know they're sometimes necessary and the payoff is usually worth it, but they're never that great.
Cons:
- Unnecessary time spent on Juliet's death. Her death at the end of Season 5 was enough; there was no need to bring it up AGAIN in this episode. Besides Locke and Christian, I can't think of any other character who got this much screen time when they died.
- The "big shockers" really weren't that surprising. Sayid wakes up from the dead? It was fairly obvious the more the episode progressed that this was inevitable. Show starts with them on Flight 815? A little surprising, but not "OMG I NEVER SAW THAT COMING!" that I've come to from Lost (especially after last season--sheesh!).
Pros:
- Cameos from Claire, Desmond, Charlie, and the minor characters
- I'd like to see how the Lost writers handle the parallel universe idea.
- Superb interactions between Ben and Locke as usual.

Of course the best days are behind us, you can't have award winning Lost stuff when you have so many plot lines, plus the conclusion is never as good as the meaty stuff in the middle, Season 2 was the height of brilliance for me
Anyway, I thought it was pretty good, I don't like the 2007 plotline but after finding out about a fight between a smoke monster and Jesus or whatever, I never recovered
I loved what they did with 04 though, a lot of potential there.

I thoroughly enjoyed the premiere, and I liked the alternate storytelling. I like the idea of knowing things about each of the characters, and it makes me wonder how they are going to tackle their lives if the crash had never happened. At least most of them won't be dead, and I love seeing Boone and Charlie again. That alone makes me love the alternate storytelling.
I also really liked the scene between Jack and Locke at the airport. It was nice seeing them interact as polite strangers, and it was interesting that Locke had no faith in the fact that he would never walk again, but Jack felt differently.
As a bonus, I still get to see all the characters as I know them to be in the "on-island" time, and it's great to watch them deal with the fall out of still being stuck on the island, the death of friends, and trying to figure out what's going on.
It's two great stories going on at the same time, and think they did a great job of it. Naturally, it left me with some questions, but nothing that can't wait until Darlton reveals it. Questions such as: Were all their names on the list? Why did they want to speak with Jack privately and urgently? Who healed Sayid? Why was the water not clear? Why did they flash to whatever time they are in now? (It was light out when the bomb went off, but it was dark when they regained consciousness.)
I gave the episode a 9/10.

Totally a 9 for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :w00t: The premiere was AMAZING!!! :boogie: I loved it all and I'm actually glad I knew the ALT timeline was coming from spoielrs, cuz it helped me make sense of this. LOL :giggle: Not to mention I had to keep explaining it to my Mom through out all the commercials. LOL ;) But that was awesome with these 2 stories and actually seeing what is still happening in the real one!!! :D
Really loved seeing that Flocke/MIB/Smokey are all one in the same!!!!!!!!!! :w00t: But MIB seems totally evil!!! And poor Richard being possibly a slave!!! :(
Yay for Sayid being alive again!!! :w00t: It's got to be how they saved Ben when he was shot. ;)
But poor Juliet and Saywer!!! :bawl: That was SO sad. :(
Also, really happy to see Charlie, Claire, Boone, Dr. Arzt, the pilot, Cindy, the kids Zach & Emma, Rose & Bernard, and Desmond!!!!!!!!!! :boogie:
Really intresting how the ALT timeline has changed SO much and everything from 1977 on has changed.
Then I like the new characters Doogen and Lennon (the translator)!!! :D Lennon totally resembles John Lennon, and the Beatle fan is me is REALLY happy!!! :boogie:
SO can't wait for next week!!!!!!!!!! :w00t:

Im very very upset Juliet died twice. That was unnecessary. And I really thought they killed off Sayid, I was super upset about that.
And in the alternate world where the plane didnt crash... Well thats just weird. The island was underwater....... wow. And Jack and Locke liked eachother. I like how Kate got away from the Marshall, hahah.
But we had no answers this episode. And a death of a great character, and they gave us hope that she'd still be alive.

Ok first of all: i felt like a kid unwrapping his gift for Xmas.. :w00t:
Butthere is also a part that didn't feel right. An 8 for this one.. the writers can do better, we know that by now..
The Awesome factor:
- The parallel universe story was something we all expected and really made this episode for me. Seeing Arzt and Frogurt, and keeping a lot of the season one status quo intact was cool.
- The WTF moments like desmond on the plane, the sunken island, hurley talking to jacob and seeing the temple.
Things im not sure whether to like or not:
- The new temple others, especially the japanese guy, take some time to get used to.. i felt a bit cheated: Why haven't we seen any of these guys yet.. i thought richard was in charge..
- The introduction after the bomb felt a bit too much.. Kate in the tree? The time-travelling drill-tower-junk?
- Smokey beeing the nemesis.. I really liked the Pet of Anubis explanation for smokey.. I hope the writers will make the story a little more sophisticated.. (i have hopes for next episodes).

I liked it. They are all over the place but it was good. It seems like they are in 2 diffrent time periods. Whats confusing is if the bomb went off how are they still alive and on the island especially since the time period when they are on the plane again, the island seems to be in tact just underwater. They really opened up a ton of new questions instead of asnswering too many.

It was enjoyable, not the best opener, that's still season 2 I think.
But it raised more questions, the timeline in 2004, the timeline in 2007, Richard in chains? Desmond on flight 815?
The stuff about the passengers getting off the plane was the best thing.
Juliet is really dead :(

I agree, something just felt "off" about the premiere. But when I think back to all the premieres, I guess I felt that way about them, as well. Whenever TPTB start a new season, the introduce a new twist to the show, and it takes some getting used to, but usually ends up being stellar.
There were awesome parts, the Locke/Ben/Braham fight, Smokey tearing sh:shock:t up, Jacob visiting Hurley, underwater Island, Juliet's death, etc. But there were some slow portions as well, like Kate running through the airport (Please, no Season 6 Eggtown!), some of the deposition inside the temple, and love triangle nonsense.
I'd give it a 7. A solid 7. I'm sure things will pick up.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate (etc) that they killed off Juliet. I loved her character. She had somethign important to say so I hope we get to see her in Alt time or flashbacks or as a ghost or anything. I love her. Poor Sawyer.
This episode was full of mystery and I loved that. the scenes looked so cool and had such an epic feel to it.
The on island stuff was great. so MIB is smokey. I knew it!!! and yay for Cindy being back. The Temple looks so great I wonder how it healed Sayid....or is is MIB????
Alternate Timeline was so much fun to watch! Boone, Charlie, Claire...so great to see them. Loved the whole 'what if' effect of it. But I'm not sure what they're gonna do with this timeline thingy....which one is real? Awesome episode can't wait for next week!

I rated it « I hope next one is better » because a few things annoyed me.
1) Juliette dying again. I was like, what’s the point of showing these scenes that took quite a part of the show.
2) The alternate reality stuff, I don’t dislike the idea but for some reasons, I feel like we’re gone back to square one with characters that lack 5 seasons of substance. For exemple, I could not care less about Kate escaping. So I cannot shake the impression that these scenes are a waste of time, that the real characters are those struggling on the island. Maybe at some point they will have to make a choice between this life and that other one.
3) Too many commercials.
I liked the scene with John and Jack at the end though, about the loss of his father. Good comment by John.

I gave it a 5, it was alright but not great. I found myself thinking that they're definately making it up as they go. I'm not a big fan of the mythological stuff, and i'm tired of them introducing new groups of people. For being on a secluded island, the losties seem to be held at gunpoint by a new set of people each week. I did, however, like the flashforwards/alternative timeline thing.

I'd give it about a 7/10. Juliet was way overdone, and there was nothing too surprising. The Airplane/Airport scenes were really well done, and I definitely hope they continue with the alternate timeline. Yesh, a ton of Illana's crew got killed by smoky! I don't see how Ben was so lost in the midst of things in this episode. He's supposed to be the person who's in control, not staring at the fire. And Clair...I really hope she's on the island.

Hey I have not been around in about 6 months (for obvious reasons...) Didnt love the episode, but some interesting twists and a cool start. I like the idea of tracing what happens to them if the plane does NOT crash. Rated it a 4 I think, looking for more next time. Obviously no season has to be as good as 1, and they probably cant be, every lost episode will beat your average tv show by far. Hope they finish the show on a strong point. I cant agree with the over 100 people who said best episode ever... I admire them for being into it, but seriously best ever? Maybe watch the Pilot again :)
- will try to post from time to time.
- see you guys on the beach!

I voted 6/10. I think LOST was a lot better the first three seasons when more concentration was put on the characters relationships with each other before the plot was going in a million directions.
Don't get me wrong, I still like it, its just frustrating. Wasn't too thrilled about the time travel thing before, thought it was a little too much. the body switching thing I think is interesting, but it feels incomplete knowing some of the characters that are 'living' aren't actually the same people.
I think the parallel-time thing or whatever its called is really interesting though, I can't wait to figure it out.
I also think they should really stop adding 20 new characters an episode, maybe that's just me.

9 for me. we know who the smoke monster is and why there is 2 john locke. we also know why we saw jac's dad and the others after they were dead.

A very satisfying start to the final season, LA X really had it all - Breathtaking scenes, fast paced action, an interesting story twist and some big reveals.
The satisfaction of every single predicition I made to friends over the summer turning out to be 100% correct earns this episode a a perfect score and earned me a very smug smile on my face!

I just don't understand people who are complaining about a lack of answers/more questions. Wth, they answered a few huge questions this episode. The flash-sideways will pay off in the end I think, as I assume they will collide eventually with the normal timeline. The episode was also a great mix of character and mythology, it was like a giant 'WTF that managed to focus it's plot mostly on the characters.

lol season 2 was da worst season as far as I'm concerned.
Very very good opener. Not the best ever, but worthy of a 10 still.
Funny how everyone differs on this so much.
Personally season 2 has always been my favourite of them all, though season 4 really makes it tough. But definitely seasons 2 and 4 are my favourite, I'm just not 100% sure which I prefer.
Seasons 1 and 5 are my least favourite.
But I'm sure others have the exact opposite opinion, which is one thing I like about Lost, that it has something for everyone.

I give it a solid 9/10.
The bad:
-> don't understand why they made Juliet be alive only to die again. should have just killed her in the explosion. I can only assume they wanted to make sure she appeared in at least one season 6 episode since she was so important in previous seasons. minor issue only
-> didn't like the casting of the 'others' at the temple. The guy talking in another language and needing to be translated was just annoying. And wouldn't the others have some familiarity with the losties by now? I guess it's been awhile and they never went to the temple before, but still. they were being very difficult even after jacob's note and didn't want to tell them anything, etc.
The undecided:
-> I don't currently understand this whole "paralell" timeline or where it fits in. So I reserve judgement on it until I know more. I just hope at the end they aren't going to erase all the past and say ok, this parallel timeline - that's the real timeline now so ignore the last 6 six seasons they never happened. I did like however how Jack was like "do i know you?" to desmond
The good:
-> pretty much everything else! but in particular:
-> Loved that they didn't just erase the past and start over - I was so happy to see the storyline continue exactly where we left off last year (mostly at least)
-> Loved everything with fake locke and that whole storyline in general. Love he was the smoke monster, love how he killed all those guys, love what he said to richard and want to know where "home" is
-> Loved how Jacob visited Hurley as a ghost like that. Jacob clearly planned this whole thing and likely counted on talking to Hurley just like this all along after he died
-> Love how they can put down a barrier of black dust to keep the smoke monster out, but also that the monster is smart enough to try and work around such barriers
I dunno... I feel there is so much more I can see but those are the key points mostly. Overall I'm really loving anything to do with Jacob or his rival. I really like this storyline and anything to do with either. I also think they can also use this conflict as a way to explain almost all major mysteries in the show (either directly or indirectly) which I like.

i remember season one giving me the shakes from all the plane crash mayhem.
and the general consensus seems to be 9/10. almost a flawless episope but no dice
You know, I never quite got "Lost." Thought, "what a stupid show!" However, I decided to watch it on Netflix and next thing I'm addicted. So, I watch season 1 - 5 in like two weeks and for the most part enjoyed it and had to watch the next episode due to excitment. So, here it is, season 6, two hour special - can't wait, now I'm ready and I'm a fan!
But...a funny thing happened watching the first show of season 6 - it sucked! 80% disappointment for me. Temple = come on, did they bring in new writers who want to put their own stamp on it?
The dude from the communication shack all of a sudden is the lead scientist and over ruling everyone else including Horace and the dude that is apparently Miles dad?
Hint - if you can bring back Syied in the "temple" pool why not at least have "someone" mention bringing Juliet to the pool?
Just very disappointed and I'll have to see where the two worlds thing goes but it's just not working for me and I feel I waisted all my time watching 1 - 5!

I LOVED the opening scene, CGI-shark aside. I keep watching it, loving the fact that we get to pan around the Island that much, even if it's under water.
I loved Boone and Locke's conversation and the irony in what was said as well as Desmond popping up next to Jack then disappearing. Seriously, where did he go? Is he still unstuck in time or did he disappear along with Christian's coffin?
Jack's cut was one of my favorite parts of the premiere. Where and why did he get it, and how come he doesn't know where it came from? I feel this will be brought up near-finale time.
Juliet's death scene was sad but not nearly as heart-wrenching as watching her fall down the pit. I liked seeing Mitchell again but I wasn't too happy with Sawyer's "you got it, blondie" line instead of just kissing her.
The Temple Others are GREAT, but I hope that one guy from the Perfect Storm doesn't translate for his buddy the whole season. I was also annoyed he had to cut his whole palm just to see if it was cured in the pond, as if cutting your arm or pricking your finger wouldn't be enough.
I can't believe that was John Locke's final thoughts and it makes my stomach turn when I look back at the whole story. "I dont understand...", he better come back to "life" before the series-end or the show really would be tainted for me. I loved the MIB's line about wanting to go "home", which I'm assuming is the real world. That would be SO GNARLEY.
I'm shocked there are a few people that don't believe that MIB = Locke = Smokey, especially after the reveal in the premiere, but to each their own.
AHHH!! 5 more days till 6.03 I can't even concentrate in class.

On the first viewing, I gave it an 8, but after watching it again, I'm bumping it up to a 9. Was a tad disappointed in the opening scene, and rather bummed that they wasted soooooo much time with Julie when we've only got 16 episodes. But it picked up nicely in the second hour, and I was really getting into the alternate time line by the end.
Not liking that they are already giving tiny hints that the long-dead love triangle may re-emerge. Had hoped Kate had evolved beyond her childish indecision. I hope at least she respects that Sawyer is grieving over a three year love relationship.
Rolled my eyes a bit that they survived a bomb blast fairly unscathed (including the Dharma van?), but then I entertained the idea that they maybe ARE dead, and then just went with it because, hey, this is LOST. Thought it was cool that Hurley is at the point now where a dead guy talks to him and he doesn't even blink. And I really enjoy that for once, he was telling Jack what to do; perhaps he will develop more confidence and maybe even some leadership qualities?
On the airplane time line, I was intrigued by the appearance of Boone without Shannon and puzzled as hell that Desmond was on the plane at all. And I felt horrible for Rose because her cancer is probably going to be fatal now, and seeing Locke in the wheelchair brought a tear to my eye. But I am amazed that after all this time, it had never occurred to me that with Jack being a spinal surgeon he could maybe help Locke.
But by far the BEST part of season six is Locke-in-Black! Terry O'Quinn must be having a field day with his "new" role. Even if all the other story lines go to pot, I will have my eyes glued to the screen to find out where his "home" is, what his true motives are, and what this means for the other Losties.
Was I the only one who was totally shocked when Richard got beaten up? All this time on the show, and no one had ever laid a finger on him. PLEASE tell me we're gonna find more about the mystery that is the Ageless Man.
Last but not least, I missed you guys! Is that weird, saying that to people on a message forum? It's just that I know it's ok to geek out here, lol. :w00t:

One of the best episodes I've ever seen. The writers were able to not only A) give us answers to a few longstanding questions and B) advance the plot, but they were also able to expand the character arcs and give us some new wrinkles. There were also some iconic scenes/images such as Juliet dying in Sawyer's arms, the submerged four-toed statue, Alt-Jack's conversation with Alt-Locke, and Jacob's visit to Hurley.
At this point, I'm ready for anything!

So happy. For me, it's like it has had a kick up the arse. I was disappointed with the ending of season five, but this shows Lost is back to its best. I can't predict anything and I love it!

After a few rewatches, I'd give it a 9. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but I predicted the alternate reality thing months ago so it wasn't a huge surprise. And the ending was good but I saw it coming because of stupid ABC promos that show Sayid alive in a scene that wasn't in this episode:rolleyes:. I think a lot of credit should be given to the LOST creators for having the guts to do the flashsideways thing and pulling it off. It was well integrated and I'm glad to hear that it will have relevance beyond a what if.(Not really a spoiler, just something general that tptb have said about flashsideways). Kate was interesting again and the Jack/Locke seen was awesome. I don't want to start any shipper wars but I really enjoyed the skate elevator scene. I'm starting to get a little sick of all the mystery around Christian so I wish theyd give us something of an answer. The unaltered timeline is still more interesting imo and it delivered. The Temple and the spring was really cool and that Dogen guy was a badass. Some people complain about adding more characters but i dont mind if theyre necessary (and think of it this way, Ilana's group was killed so they just replaced them with the temple group:D). The reveal that Jacob's dead to Dogen/Tempe ppl freak out scene combined with Richard freaking out and literally :censored: himself before getting beaten up by mib scene was the best part of the ep imo. Looking forward to a great season!
Well, just perfect..... 9/10 really awesome, but still confusing!!!
I really did enjoy the alternate reality part of it....

I will definitely be giving this a solid nine.
I only started watching lost a few months ago and have seen every episode in a short space of time, I guess my need for answers aren't as strong as people who have been watching it for years. i actually like having more questions, it's the thinking about what has happened and trying to puzzle it all together afterwards which drew me to lost.
This is the first episode I've watched in real time and I'm enjoying seeing peoples theories, i'm just gutted it took me so long to give it a go.
Back to the episode, the scene where the camera goes from the plane to under the sea blew my mind and I'm starting to enjoy jacks character more now, I even feel sorry for the man and the scene where fake locke tells ben what locke was thinking when he died was very moving. :)

yeah i'm with you i think.
personally i've just not enjoyed lost as much as soon as they brought in the time travelling. i like donnie darko with the parallel universe stuff in so i'm not anti-alt reality or anything. i just think lost started going down the poo shoot at that time.
i'm worried season 6 will be everything i disliked about the last series, plus more!

Mixed feelings here.
I loved the episode, but with only 15 to go, and the producers seemingly moving more and more away from science to solve the answers we crave, I'm not sure they are going to be able to deliver a fully satisfying conclusion.

i could not agree with "Big Panda" anymore than i do.
not only is the temple gang, dogen, banzai combo going to be epic, but getting Richard's back story is going to be the best part of the early season. As to who is good, or who is evil, I have no idea, but I'm at least 40 odd foot of panda for tomorrow nights glass of katnook, balcony sit, possible rapport to LOST feature.

I am absolutely amazed - definite 9. Only because i would never give any episode a 10, in fear of feeling like i'm not giving certain other episodes the credit they deserve hahaha.
I'm in love with the multiple realities idea. I can't wait to see how it eventually gets solved (if it does?) and how on earth everyone works out to deal with it. PLUS. Oh my goodness, we're IN the temple! That is freaking awesome. Yep. Everything = so cool in my books. Although i've never been disappointed by Lost ;)

6/10.
I really wish I could place myself in the 'Loyal Lost Fan' camp and give it an 8 or 9, but unfortunately I am one of the people who just isn't feeling that classic 'Lost vibe' anymore. As much as I like the show for the character's stories I feel however the whole mystique and eerie factor of the island is long gone, and we haven't even learned all the mysteries yet. Smokey and the island/jungle itself haven't been creepy since Season 3.
I admit I was unfortunate enough a month or two ago to see a spoiler about the 'alternate reality' thing so perhaps that has slightly tarnished any suprise factor for me.
I also think the underwater scene of the island is way over-done: The CGI was 'Saturday morning TV' awful.
I must say though I am appreciating the dual time line idea a little more than I thought I would so far.

8/10. It was great to see the oldies again, and the change of chemistry between the characters. A good rounded episode, even if New Zealand totally hacked it by making it a two parter, one whole week apart.
Just wish it was sweeter with Ana Lucia and her mum reuniting. It would've made it 10 outta 10. :D
