You GOTTA watch Alias! The first 2 seasons were killer. The third season was so-so by Alias standards, but awsome by series television standards.

The forth season doens't start until January, so rent/buy the DVDs and catch up! You won't be sorry. :)

Let's just say I wasn't the target demographic for Felicity, but Alias is beyond belief; talk about redefining series television. Lost looks like it's going to follow in Alias footsteps, only with much more respectable ratings.

-bows down- I love Abrams. I worship him. And I'm a complete Alias fanatic. And now I'm a Lost fanatic! lol

I'm totally supporting JJ in his Superman project

I'm pretty sure his Superman script got scrapped. They're doing a rewrite with someone else (actually I think it was a writing team...but it doesn't really matter). He is, however, set to direct Mission: Impossible 3.

Yeah, it sounds like it's going to be good.
Aw man that is bad. I know was it him, I think it was him who really wanted to do the Superman movie.

I doubt that there will ever be another show I love so much as Alias. The show is so phenomenal, that I've made it a life mission to introduce as many people as possible to this show. I think I've let about 13 people borrow my first Season DVD so far, and now I have 2 sets, one to keep with me and one to rent out to my friends/schoolmates/professors/random people in the dorms/etc.

The first two seasons were in one word, WOW. The second season especially was utterly sublime. I must admit that the 3rd season let me down a bit, but that's only because I expect so much from Alias. Like Gertiebeth has already mentioned, the 3rd season is only a bit weak when you compare it to the other two seasons, but it was still exceptional TV.

Everyone please go rent the DVDs and watch them in time to enjoy the forth season, trust me, you will NOT regret it =)

Gotta second Rydia and Gertie on the "Go watch Alias NOW" theme, lol. Because seriously? Best. Show. Ever. EVER.

I feel like J'Brams is really a pioneer in the genre-bending genre (lol). Alias and Lost are both shows that aren't easily placed into a stereotypical genre...is Alias a spy drama, or a character study, or a sci-fi show, or a mythological show? Is lost straight drama, or sci-fi, or mystery? Most shows choose one genre and stick with it, but after Felicity (which from what I've heard stayed in it's WB-niche for its whole run), J'Brams has rejected that notion and is doing his own thing, which I think is fantastic.

<3 J'Brams!

I always wanted to start watching Alias, but somehow it never happened. Partly be blamed because it's always shown on an hour that I can't watch it...

But once again the fans make me curious about it. The series are for rent? Maybe I should start renting them once as well... At least Lost rocks, so that should be a good reference, right? ;)

Seasons 1-3 are all out on DVD; I've seen them at my Blockbuster, too, so you should be able to rent them with no problem. You won't regret it.

I might take a look tomorrow, else Monday. I'm just not sure if my local Blockbuster has TV series as well... it's only tiny :(

JJ is defintely a genius. If I could talk to anyone in the world it would be him. I'm an obsessive alias fan and now lost fan because his shows are so cinematic and well written. There is nothing else like them on tv!

Ps-Hey Abney!! It's me mrsark47. I haven't been on alias boards for a while because my internet's down.

Thankies I'm trying to get an av made with the sketch of the pig's head. The comp being broken really stinks.

I hope JJ pays more attention to alias this season. He's got a lot of projects going on right now(Lost, MI3)

Yes his script was scrapped, seems like the studio wanted to start all over. They hired Bryan Singer (director of X-Men I and II) who will be working with writers Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. And like you say it really doesn't matter at this point but I think he would have given us a good Superman movie if it wasn't for the project having so many problems. Anyway J. J. Abrams is a god.

All I meant was that it didn't matter whether it was a team of writers or one person. ;) And I read somewhere that JJ's script focused a lot on Lex Luthor and it was not the direction they wanted to go; it wasn't that it was poor quality.

I'm a biiig Alias fan, and I think most of the Alias fans switched over to Lost. That's definitely the case for me. ;)

I'm a big Buffy/Angel fan and I worship Joss Whedon as a writer and always thought NO ONE could compare to him, but then I saw Alias and later Lost and I must say that Joss Whedon now has to share his place with J.J Abrams! They are my heroes :)

I second that, Cin. I always thought Joss was the greatest TV writer, but now I'm not so certain anymore. :D

I started watching Felicity about the summer before last and I loved it! Ben or Noel, Ben or Noel? AHHHH! And now I love LOST! (that's an understatement). Jack or Sawyer, Jack or Sawyer? lol. Lost is amazing. And I have so much respect for JJ Abrams for creating such a great show! :D

I never could really get into Alias. And my mom stopped watching it because of this season. She says that she doesn't like the way Sydney is acting now.
