My favorite part of the episode was when Miles was running towards Juliet saying "WHERE IS HE?" and Jack immediately steps in front of her, shoves Miles hard and says, "BACK OFF!" :D I've never seen him react like that when Kate was being threatened. Plus, I love Jacket. ;)

what was that hour of tv I just watched? And how come it feels like absolutely nothing is happening. I'm getting a marvelously long list of questions and new frustrations... oh wait that's Lost. See the long hiatus made me forget. oh well.

so... what was with the pilot and the ring thing and the mustache... am I supposed to believe that the pilot isn't the pilot? But I know the pilot isn't the pilot... sighs... and another polar bear? a guy who talks to dead people?

highlights:

Hurley's seen the shack. The look between Ben and Locke made me a little uneasy.

The wink... Juliet's little grin... Kate's cluelessness. Good times.

Sawyer kicking the crap out of Ben for his anti skate speech. Go Sawyer... sore point with him eh?

all in all I'll give it four out of five stars.

This season is off to such a great start. I loved this episode and I think the reason why is because I'm not turned off by these new people AND I liked the way the writers incorporated Skate into the episode, even though Sawyer and Kate didn't share a scene together. It felt very Skatey to me. :w00t:

I liked that Ben mentioned Kate looking upset when Sawyer left her to join Team Locke. She DID look upset, so it's nice to have that confirmed by another character. The writers must want us to make note of Kate's feelings there.

And manipulative Ben again. Poor Sawyer. Ben knows exactly which buttons to push with him, how to get into his head. And Sawyer wasn't able to stop himself from beating him. So Ben DID hit a nerve. Kate is and always has been Sawyer's undoing.

Ben told Sawyer not to worry about Kate on the beach, since Jack will be there to comfort her. I loved that line! Even Ben is aware that Jack is the consolation prize -- that Kate will only turn to Jack because Sawyer isn't around.

And I liked the way Jack ran over to protect Juliet when Miles came charging.

Did you notice how Jack stood there while Kate carried Naomi's dead body down to the helicopter? And only when she got there did he take her end from her. Get off your butt and help, Jack!

But then in the last episode, Sawyer stood by drinking a beer while Juliet dug the graves...:annoyed:

So can we say we want 'girl power' in this series, only we think the guys should still do the heavy lifting and the dirty grunt work? Is that so wrong? :D

Awesome episode, fantastic new characters, and I am really starting to not like Ben too much.:mad: There are so many questions and things to discuss, but I have found one glaring issue that I need to bring up.

After watching the first two episodes, it really is obvious how much Kate and Jack are not on the same wavelength with each other. Kate wants to do something or somewhere, Jack shoots her down and basically treats her and her opinions like those of a child. He doesn't give her opinions the time of day. And the one time Jack actually tries to inform Kate of a plan, Kate doesn't know what the hell is going on. She had absolutely no freakin clue what Jack was trying to tell her, and from what I saw, she didn't even notice that ridiculous wink he gave her. No communication whatsoever, and absolutely no sychronicity between them. It's like they are in completely different time zones when it comes to working together.

Now, you compare that to the way Kate and Sawyer worked together in the B&C clyde scene from LTDA, and the entire episode on NIP, and the differences are glaring, in a very good way. Even Jack and Juliet. Jack and Juliet worked together more in one scene together tonight than Jack and Kate have in two episodes combined.

It's idiotic how some people can't see or better yet, don't want to see it.

The wink was hilarious. It was like 'Oh I guess there's a plan' but it's so obvious how Kate wouldn't get that because it was a definite 'WTF?' and to ref that hilarious recap in the Parodies section 'flexing his tear ducts for another season of Jears'...lol.

I wasn't into this episode as much as I was into the primiere...but I am supertired today...so I probably need to watch it again.

I loved the Skate bits. It was awesome. And I thought Ben was really low, manipulative and definitely hit a nerve with 'What? You're going to kill me in front of my daughter?'...I knew there was no way Sawyer could do it after that. I loved the exchanges between Sawyer and Locke and the reference to 'Tall Walt'. lol.

One word: fantastic! I loved the season premiere but this episode somehow managed to beat it. I was totally glued to my laptop screen all 43 minutes.I'm already looking forward to next week's episode. I love the new characters and the way they were introduced was very smooth.

Loved the jealousy scene. Ben sure knows what to say to get to the core but at least somebody else finally acknowledges that the chemistry between Sawyer and Kate is undeniable. Go SKATE!

Questions: Who's in the other plane? Just random people? Is Oceanic a real airline or just a cover-up for a military agency? And why do they need Ben?

So I really, really liked this episode. Myles is my favorite freighter. :D For some reason I think him and Sawyer would get along since they sort of have that same attitude. Either that or they'd hate each other's guts, haha. I think I also like the fact that Jack doesn't like him too much, and vice versa. :giggle:

There's talk that the man that Ben has on the boat is Michael. :eh: Although I don't know why Michael would still be helping Ben.

Ben is so, so evil. He knows EXACTLY what buttons to push, especially with Sawyer. All he had to do was keep talking about Kate and Sawyer was off! Loved jealous!Sawyer. :w00t:

Still trying to wrap my head around the plane on the bottom of the ocean, why the heck were these guys chosen for the "mission", and why exactly do they want Ben. Also, how come Naomi knew who Desmond was? Aaaaaaaaaaaah so many questions!! LOST is definitely back.

Ben is eeeevil and I kinda love him for it. Okay so not only did it piss of Sawyer so that the audience can see how much our favourite outlaw loves his girl, but also gave us that little chocolate flavored SkateOTP feeling.
So what regular viewer wouldn't want poor Sawyer to get his girl in the end? Ben now said: "The rich and successfull get it all here in life. Deal with it." - That's not how it's gonna end. Okay I'm rambling on but you guys know what I mean right? It's building up a reason why Sawyer do get his girl in the end. Money and fame ain't everything. Anyone can be worthy of loving someone and being loved in return. That scene made Skate the OTP once again and I believe more than ever that our ship will be the one who's left standing in the end. :D:D:D Cheesecake moment!

Like their relationship, that wink was a big zero. It was nothing more than two people getting along for once. I don't see how that translates into anything romantic. It just showed once more to me that Jate is nowhere NEAR being on the same wavelenght...if it had been Sawyer, then Kate would have known just by LOOKING at him...that's how easy those 2 read one another.

I have to say I enjoyed that the ship stuff was kept to a minimum here though..it was NICE to focus on the mystery and mythology for a bit. I enjoyed this eppy and well is as confused as ever..just ONE scene was abit predictable to me...when Jack saw on the satelite phone that Charlotte was "running away from something" I KNEW at the speed the dot was moving, that Locke had sent Vincent off with the GPS tracker. That WAS predictable lol. Other than that I was like "huh"?

So now we got a plane that is suppose to be Oceanic flight 815 all believed to be dead by the general public...a team of 4 ppl from the freighter wants Ben for some reason...amongst that team we got a Ghost Whisperer???! :giggle: they're def. kicking up the sci fi factor here....

Both Ben and Locke got some good digs in at Soya in this episode. Locke's wasn't as vicious as Ben's, but interesting considering what Locke did to Soya a few days earlier. Ben's is obvious, but then Locke told Soya not to kill Ben in front of his daughter. He knows Soya wouldnt' kill a parent in front of their child, considering what happened to him as a child.

My favourite boatie is Faraday. He's very awkward and twitchy. Not nearly as sexy as Jack, but with Jack's new eye spasm, no one can touch Jack for the title as the island's most sexy.

As sexy as Jack is, he is still a Jacktard.

The creepy gatekeeper dude, Abaddon told Naomi there were no survivors, but her team wasn't suprised that there was. But why bring guns and wear bullet proof vests. Did they expect the 815er's to eat them after being missing for 3 months. Abaddon might be creepy, but he might be the key back to the island. He is not Oceanic, but yet he knew the plane crash was staged. Oceanic is a front for Dharma or something. And if they took the time to stage a plane crash, complete with the plane still being basically intact, and the news footage to fool the world, then Oceanic 815 didn't go down on accident. Desmond might have brought it down, but there has to be more to it.

Awesome episode, fantastic new characters, and I am really starting to not like Ben too much.:mad: There are so many questions and things to discuss, but I have found one glaring issue that I need to bring up.

After watching the first two episodes, it really is obvious how much Kate and Jack are not on the same wavelength with each other. Kate wants to do something or somewhere, Jack shoots her down and basically treats her and her opinions like those of a child. He doesn't give her opinions the time of day. And the one time Jack actually tries to inform Kate of a plan, Kate doesn't know what the hell is going on. She had absolutely no freakin clue what Jack was trying to tell her, and from what I saw, she didn't even notice that ridiculous wink he gave her. No communication whatsoever, and absolutely no sychronicity between them. It's like they are in completely different time zones when it comes to working together.

Now, you compare that to the way Kate and Sawyer worked together in the B&C clyde scene from LTDA, and the entire episode on NIP, and the differences are glaring, in a very good way. Even Jack and Juliet. Jack and Juliet worked together more in one scene together tonight than Jack and Kate have in two episodes combined.

Sawyer saw what Ben was doing with Karl, but couldn't keep it together when it was done to him. Sawyer's knuckle sandwich didn't have anything to do with the fact that Kate isn't perfect, but himself. What is going to offer Kate when they get off the island.

I'm pretty sure Charlotte is on drugs. No way is someone that happy at seeing trees, and streams and mountains and stuff. Miles is harmless. He's all mouth with a short fuse. Faraday=awesome with his nervous babbling. I got no opinion on Frank except to watch out for the quiet ones.

We have the people that are open-psychos,for example Locke,we always knew he was a bit out there even back in season 1. Then of course we have Ben who just is the king of creepy. :blank:

Yeah we just totally left Miles and Frank outta of it. Miles, abrasive, bad temper but i think he's too hot-headed to be the main baddie of the group. As for Frank, to me he's the most mysterious but he doesn't come off as bad.

Frank is the devil. Granted we have seen one episode, but Daniel seems afraid of his own shadow, plus he's a scientist. Not that they can't be evil, but crazies like Miles and Locke don't hide their whacked-out-ness. Plus there's something almost innocent about Faraday. I don't know how bad Charlotte is going to be. She digs bones, what is she going to do. She's seems more into the Dharma mythology then killing people. Oh yeah, Frank is going to be bad. He even has the creepy eyes.

Exactly :giggle: He's just adorable... I really want him to be one of the good guys. He doesn't even seem to have ANY evil potential whatsoever... but then again, who would have thought in S1 that we'd ever have Jack shoot at somebody? Or Charlie sacrificing himself for the others?

I'm betting on Charlotte. She knows more than she says and she is already asking too many questions. Also, she was the one who kept saying she was there to rescue the Losties and Dan admitted relatively soon that that wasn't what they were really there for.
