You can tell in this interview, as Kristin describes it, that he was trying not to cry. You see him pause for a second when talking about Matt, and the other cast members. He keeps pausing, ARGH! God bless him. I hope he gets a really good show. :(

Aaw I feel soo bad for him! I kind of wanted Boone to die, because I thought I wouldn't really care, but I do now because I love Ian (whether or not I liked Boone very much..) :(

He looked really bummed out and emotional. That night I was there and I thought that he was acting a little bit off. But he did have some really funny wise cracks during the cast question and answer part of the night.

Amen to all of you supporters here! I have felt like a 1 woman show trying to hopefully change JJ's mind about putting Boone/Ian back on regular status----somehow! I sure hope JJ has some assistant looking at the boards and relaying back to him what a mistake it was to kill off Boone. BRING BOONE BACK ASAP!

I know. I just feel so bad for Ian. Just seems so unfair to him. I think it was flat out wrong for the writers to do that. Atleast say at the beginning of the season, "Okay, one of you isn't going to be here for the second season." Prepare them, or something. Not one day call you up and be like, yeah....you're off the show. I just put myself in Ians place...and I would feel so upset that I would have to leave all that. :(

That phone call thing was just so damn wrong on all fronts. I dont blame him one bit if he is bitter, I know I would be. I also think it was unfair all together to announce that the 4 women and Dom were safe from this ousting. Its not the other 9 males fault if JJ only hired on 4 females and made a promiss to the hobbit that theis jobs were not going to end. That was so darn cold!

I had seen the last part of this interview before, but not the portion with Ian struggling through talking about his castmates. Heartbroken is about right. Not that I didn't already feel bad for Ian, but I felt a renewed sense of sympathy for him watching him try not to cry and soldiering on through the interview. *yet more hugs for Ian* I echo the "DAMN YOU JJ!!!!" sentiments.

Yep! And that is what makes this so hard to deal with. I dont think it was fair to not make the 4 women and the Hobbit have to worry about whether they would get the axe or not. Even the only child(Walt/Malcome) had to worry about his job security because he is one of the 14 that could have been choose to die in his character. This fact actually makes me madder(more than Boone's death) at TPTB to make a child worry like that. Shame on them!

For that JJ and Damon need to be beaten. We should abduct the Hobbit and tell them that if they don't bring Ian back, than they're not getting their precious little Dom back! We'll hold him hostage! Apparently that just can't live without him so...the'll be just that desprate to get him back! MUHWAAAAAHAAAAHAAAA!
*Ahem* I 'm done. I hope they see what removing Ian has done.

I was actually kind of offended that they would protect Dom just because he played a hobbit. If "sage" acting chops were taken into consideration, then why not protect Matt(Jack), Daniel(Jin) and Terry(Locke) as well. Those 3 have been acting their butts off for years.

Exactly. I don't understand why Dom is protected and I am remarkably annoyed and angry that he is while the others (you've mentioned with the addition of Ian) didn't get the same protection. I really can't wrap my mind around the women having immunity simply because they are women either, that is so unfair.

The women were protected because JJ and Co "heavily padded" the male actors. There are 10(now 9 :o ) males and only 4 females. It "seemed" that it was meant to keep on the paltry numbers the women have and eliminate a male where the are so many as it is. I think it sucks for the guys because they didn't have a hand in the hiring #'s for the show. That was just plain wrong for JJ to do.

Great idea! He's relatively small. We could take him ;)
Seriously though, I think it is wrong that one of the actors just gets a pass like that. I have nothing against Dom, but I don't see why he should get preferential treatment. It's not like he's the only one with a fan following.
I agree, but I guess they took him away to keep the show going. To keep he audience interested. It makes me mad. *crosses arms, stomps foot and pouts*

I think they did it to "up the stakes" but the stakes weren't all that low before he died and aren't all that much higher now.
I honestly think they made a big mistake.

I would have stayed interested more if it had been Sayid or Sawyer that died. I feel that these 2 have had A LOT of screen time and that the supporting males such as Boone, Michael, Jin and Walt should have been given the opportunity to be seen more. I think it was unjust to target a more minor character when I am tired of seeing those other 2 already. I lost all my Sayid love when he hooked up with the island brat. :p

Im really sad Ian's not on the show anymore. He wasnt my absoloute fav, but I still loved his character. But on a lighter note, Lost gave Ian alot of recognition, to boost his career.

I really thought I was coming to terms with Boone not being on the show, but after watching the first part of the season finale, and seeing him alive at the airport, I just got all sad again. Why the hell did they have to kill him off? For some MAJOR division between Jack and Locke that we have yet to see? They're just walking around and talking to each other. Someone put me in a straightjacket... I'm going postal.
