First day of school after holidays. I forgot how much I hate school. it was good seeing my friend back, but i can see them in holidays too, and actually do FUN things with them.
And i already got 4 out of 7 teachers yelling at me :D

First I had a huge fight with my mom; basically she feels that I'm not doing enough around the house and if I don't start doing something it might be better if I leave the house and get a place of my own, which she knows I cannot afford. But the problem is, I barely have time to do anything around the house; I leave the house at 8 in the morning to go to school and I don't get home before 7 at night. This takes up 5 days of the week, on Saturday I have to work all day and I also have to do a lot of schoolwork. This new school schedule is murder on my social life, and now I have to completely abandon my friends and my hobbies to clean up the house...frustrating. :mad:
And second, I got turned down for a job that I really badly wanted, which means I still cannot quit my current job and that really sucks because I really really really want to quit. :(

I jus found out that a very good friend of mine is 90% sure they have leukemia. :bawl: I learned about it in second period today and it jus screwed up my entire day....heck year. :( He was sick for the past month, had a stiff neck about 2 weeks ago and jus a few days ago he got bumps on his throat. I'm really depressed right now.

That all sounds really stressful. I hope you and your friend start talking again! These things usually blow over.
Try to sleep. If that means missing an assignment, so be it. That's the best advice I can give you.

Today at school all the Science sets were moved around and people have came up from set 3 to set 1 which a far to bigger jump, just because they try hard in class! So we started studying Atoms and half of my new science class (who are meant to be set 1) didn’t even know how to draw an atom! At 16! It really annoyed me, because we had to sit there while they had Atoms explained to them, and now we have 27 people trying to sit in 20 seats and half the class are really annoying people! And to make things worse Science was the only lesson when I was with this boy I really liked and now he’s gone! He’s been moved down a set though he’s smarter than most the people who moved up! all my friends said I looked like I was going to cry! I felt like crying after spending years trying to coax up the courage to talk to him and now I can he’s gone! Oh well I’ll have to be extra Vigilant to look out for him now to get my fix of hotness for the day!:bawl:

Besides my usual maladies,:shifty: as I was driving into town for some errands I hear a "Klumpity...klump...klump" sound.:eh: Not a flat...like I had run over something and was dragging it. After I got pulled off the road, it appears something involving the gas line :shock: had fallen partially off and I was just dragging it along on the highway.:rolleyes:

Being the genius that I am, I turned around and drove slowly back the three miles or so home (with emergency flashers on and going about 15 mph). Then my darling person informs me later that it could have caught fire. :eek:

And his truck today stopped DEAD in the middle of three lane lunch traffic...just died.:eh: He managed to push it off the road and get it towed. Computer malfunction. It literally just came to a dead stop. No brakes, no gears, just died.:shifty:

I have a bit of arachnaphobia (the one with spiders) and last night I was having a dream where I was stuck in a small room full of big, hairy spiders and that they were crawling all over me. I woke up from that dream literally trying to shake spiders off. Then when my alarm went off, I turned it off, turned on my bedside light and put my contacts in. When I was more focused, I looked at my shelf thing at the head of my bed and right there between my clock and my contact supplies, mere inches from where my head was when I was sleeping, was a spider! So, needless to say, I became very, very creeped out. To make things worse, when I worked up enough courage to try and kill it, it somehow escaped. Now I have a spider loose in my room and have no idea where it could be. That's not cool for someone who is as afraid of spiders as I am!

A RIDICULOUS chain of events just happened to me! I have a parakeet and she used to have clipped wings but now they have grown out and she can fly. I was eating lunch (well, brunch) and she was sitting on the back of my laptop. She seemed like she wanted to be on a lampshade so I put her on it. I was eating chicken and stars soup (you know, with little pasta stars) and all of a sudden I moved or did something and it scared my bird and she flew off!

I turned my head to see where she was flying and put down my bowl, but I wasn't looking and it fell right into my lap and poured broth, carrots and STARS all over me! I saw my bird fly behind a table against the wall and I knew she couldn't get out of there but I didn't want to get up because I was coved in soup! My roommate gave me a towel and I sort of shook the soup off onto it and went to rescue my bird, but I still left a trail of stars all over the apartment and had to change half my outfit! :crackup:

I can completely understand your fears in that area! :) Spiders... :shifty: A couple of weeks ago someone told me about having to get a spider off of their daughter's pillow. For days afterwards I was shaking my pillows every night before bed. :rolleyes: My last spider escape actually happened during Lost (Exposé. Of all the eps. I had to get a spider during that one :giggle: ). I ran to get a tissue, but it was already gone when I came back. I never did find it...

Nothing really bad has happened today (yet; it's only 3:00), but I guess the worst was having a History test. I think I undertood everything, but I was having trouble wording my essays so I'm not sure how I did.

For the past few weeks, a friend of mine has been REALLY annoying. I've been giving her the cold shoulder, but she keeps bugging me. I'll be writing song lyrics, or something funny I saw on the internet [yes, I'm lame], on my sheet music during band and she'll just read it out loud and start laughing, as if she got the joke.

And she's always saying how "OMG I know he likes me" about EVERY SINGLE GUY even though we all know that she just likes him. It's really dumb!

And she likes my friend's brother, which is DISGUSTING. And she keeps going "like omg i am SO over him" which she isn't.
She's a preppy little cheerleading drone, and I HATE it.

She's really been getting on my last nerve, but I feel bad because she said "It would suck if someone just told me they didn't like me. Like you or Jessica [my other friend]. I mean, I've known you for so long, and it would be so bad to know that you've just been acting all this time and you really don't like me."

I don't know what to do. I can't STAND her, but I can't just drop her.

Got a ticket for speeding, which is just really a waste of money. And I realize that it is entirely my own fault, but still....
Then again, it is the first speeding ticket in the 3 years that I have my drivers license and there's a first time for everything. Also, taking into account that I spend a lot of time behind the wheel and that I pretty much always drive too fast (except in residential areas where there can be kids out playing, because kids are very unpredictable and I don't fancy having to scrape one of my windshield), I pretty much had it coming sooner or later.

Well, my [psuedo]mother-in-law passed away on Friday (just days before Mother's day and before ever getting to see and hold Gideon :() and it's been really hard on all of us. Today was her funeral. While it applies as the 'worst thing that happened to me today', it was actually a really nice service and I think Brian's mom would've been proud of him for arranging everything and speaking (he even wrote a poem for her memorial card, too). She wanted to be cremated and have her ashes spread over a lake back home in Arkansas, so I think the family is going to be taking a road trip in the next week to fulfill her last request.

Then this morning, few hours after that happen with my shin I was in the bathroom and it stank in there because I hadn't emptied the litter pan (mind you this is like 1 something in the morning and I wasn't going to go empty it then, laziness) so I went to open the window and usually the window gives me resistance so I have to push pretty hard but this time it didn't and when I pushed it fell right on my fingers. So now I'm like all brusied on my shin and my fingers.

No where near as bad as some of ya'll bad days but yeah that was my bad night and early morning.

I gave away all of my birds after my mothers death, and so getting this little guy was a huge step for me. I put off buying him for a month, but I became really attached to him and decided to put the past behind me and start owning birds again. I was really looking forward to it....I'd missed my birds.

Well I only had him about week when this morning I go to take him out of his cage for a play and find him dead. it's so unfair. I don't know how he died or anything, he was just dead.

I tried so hard to start up something I love again, and then it's snatched away. :(

to think I thought my day couldn't get any worse...

about 40 minutes ago I was just sitting inside when I looked out the window at my cat, Boone, who was sitting in the window still. I heard a huge growl and saw Boone fluff up. I bolted outside thinking it was just a cat fight about to happen.

It wasn’t.

A huge, Pittbull cross had my cat clamped in his jaws and was attempting to disembowel him.

It all happened really fast, but I remember jumping on the dog and hitting him over the head while screaming for help. I managed to stop it from getting Boone’s stomach, but instead it grabbed his leg. This dog was so strong it was dragging me along with it. I kept hitting it on the head but it wouldn’t let go. I tried to pull it off but that was useless.

My next door neighbour (who I will be forever thankful for) jumped the fence and started to punch the dog with me, but when that didn’t work he began to tear its ears while I punched it in the mouth trying to make it let go. For a moment I thought it was going to, then it just started biting Boone’s face.

My sister had gotten the neighbour by now and somehow he made the dog let go. I don’t remember how. The patio pavement was absolutely covered in blood, and I had blood all over me to. Boone was trying to climb a tree, he had blood all over him.

The dog looked fine, apart from when it had bitten its own tongue.

Boone is at the vets now, they rang and said his back claws are shredded so is his front leg. He is in shock and breathing heavily. They don’t know if that’s because he is in shock or because his lungs are damaged. I don’t know what else is wrong with him. At the moment he is ok. We will find out more tomorrow morning.

The owner of the dog said a worker had left his gate over-I believe him since I saw a work truck in this street about an hour before this happened. I told him I forgave him and I wouldn’t ask that the dog be put down, because lets face it, the dog was just being a dog. This is a families pet....I’m not that cruel, but he will be paying the vet bills though...

However did it even occur to this guy to CLOSE THE GATE?! So a worker left it open…all he had to do was walk down the drive and close it. NOT HARD!

I know he’ll think twice now but that won’t undo the damage will it? His dog came into our backyard and attacked our cat all because he was lazy.

I hope Boone will be ok, please keep him in your prayers :(

So me and my former best friend fell apart a while ago..
That happens, no hard feelings.. I even gave her my ticket to Beyonce (we were supposed to go together) so she could still go, 'cause she's a major fan and I know about .. 2 songs of Beyonce... so I didn't care, and gave her the ticket.

Then we still had to do a work together for our exam French. She just didn't do her part, when we were still good friends, she at least sat with me while I wrote our exam ('cause if she writes it we both fail the exam..) and she still helped me in dutch and I'd translate them into French.. But now she just thought I'd write the thing while she was having fun, I mean, I had to leave a friend earlier too!
So i wrote the whole thing, and I just didn't translate her part, I will not hold her hand with everything she does..

So that was quite okay with her.. but than she can't stop bashing my new friends, and than she feels the need to bash me!
It was really bad, she made vids of me and called it "The Bullied" and did other stuff..

That makes me SO mad, 'cause we had been friends for FOUR years! Four years, in which she lost her father, I've talked to her for HOURS than, I was there, on her father's funeral, for over 9 hours... I didn't care, i'd be glad todo that she's my friend.. But to just forget all that? Seriously!

Not today, but yesterday (and I couldn't come onto LF because of it). Yesterday morning, Monday morning, peak hour (8:15am) there was a shooter in Melbourne, the CBD. He had an altercation with a woman and some passerby on their way to work tried to help out, the gunman pulled out a gun and one man died. The shooter is still at large. Melbourne is one of the most safest and friendliest city and this is the first time in a decade something like this has happened. This sort of thing is quite rare in our city. I have never seen Melbourne so quiet. The train ride home was the quietest ever.

I ate an orange in March and a wire from my braces snapped. Eventually it came off. Another time, I had a piece of chicken and it was hard, and two of my brackets came loose and were sticking out of my mouth. I couldn't wait to get an appointment for the dentist (because they were sticking out of my mouth), so I tried cutting them with scissors. And everytime, I tried cutting them, I ended up breaking more brackets off until I had only 4 left on my bottom teeth.

Today I went to the orthodontist. My father explained what had happened on the phone, but when I got there, they said they didn't have time for something like this and weren't staffed appropriately that day. :rant: Plus, everyone that approached me about it was all snotty about it. "You tried to take your braces off?!"

Then, the Dr. came in and I explained what had happened before he even looked in my mouth. He asked me what was up with my shades, I told him my sister stepped on my regular glasses and perscription shades were all I had until I got new glasses. A few minutes later, he said, "What happened? Your sister punched you in the face?" No...

THEN, my dad was called in and he scolded us for breaking the braces. "I don't think you realize how much work it is putting braces on. This can't be a habit, some people abuse having their braces on....Three strikes and you're out." By the way, this is the first time anything broke.

My dad mentioned that they were breaking easily, I ate an orange and a wire snapped, and he was like "Yeah..." In a tone that clearly meant he didn't believe me. He then grabbed one of my remaining bottom braces and shook it up and down, saying that it takes real force to break a bracket off. "See? Her whole head can move." Yeah, it moves because I'm not biting your finger off, buddy. Ugh.

So, THEN, he discovers a baby tooth that has to be removed. (I already had some removed before, but he waits until now to order this one removed.) So, my wire is taken off my top braces so only the brackets are there, and I have a few brackets still on my bottom row of teeth. I'm in a wedding next month and I won't be able to smile with my teeth showing, because I'll look like an idiot.

I'm angry.

He asked me what was up with my shades, I told him my sister stepped on my regular glasses and perscription shades were all I had until I got new glasses. A few minutes later, he said, "What happened? Your sister punched you in the face?" No...

THEN, my dad was called in and he scolded us for breaking the braces. "I don't think you realize how much work it is putting braces on. This can't be a habit, some people abuse having their braces on....Three strikes and you're out." By the way, this is the first time anything broke.

My dad mentioned that they were breaking easily, I ate an orange and a wire snapped, and he was like "Yeah..." In a tone that clearly meant he didn't believe me. He then grabbed one of my remaining bottom braces and shook it up and down, saying that it takes real force to break a bracket off. "See? Her whole head can move." Yeah, it moves because I'm not biting your finger off, buddy. Ugh.

So, THEN, he discovers a baby tooth that has to be removed. (I already had some removed before, but he waits until now to order this one removed.) So, my wire is taken off my top braces so only the brackets are there, and I have a few brackets still on my bottom row of teeth. I'm in a wedding next month and I won't be able to smile with my teeth showing, because I'll look like an idiot.

I'm angry.

I feel for you i used to have braces as well,i didnt want to wear the rubber bands or the night brace,so it took longer,one time my lil brother and i were play fighting and my braces got caught on the fabric of the couch and when i moved my head back i ended up yanking out the entire wire on the top :eh: i go in and the dr. asked me why am i so reluctant to take care of my braces,as if i purposely yanked out the top wire :rolleyes:

trust me some orthodontists act like you're commiting sabotage on your braces,:blank: however the end result is worth it when the braces come off,:) too bad about your whole wedding thing,you can still smile though,you just have to keep your mouth closed if the wireless braces bug you :eh:

I went to the dentist for a painful molar earlier in the week, she said I needed a root canal. So, I set up an appointment with an endodontist. He couldn't find all of the canals, so he said that I had to see another (better?) endodontist. So, I went for my appointment at the second endodontist today and he had some emergency or another and wasn't in the office today. Plus, he is taking two weeks off for a vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to be in semi-agony for two weeks and a weekend!:(

...saw this thread earlier but I was waiting for the right moment to post in it, and today was just the day...

Went to deposit my paycheck, only to find that I had NOTHING in my bank account, and I had been charged $60 for insufficient funds and bounced checks. I knew that couldn't be true and looked at my statement, to find that somebody has been writing fraudulent checks, so far for $5,000 with my bank acct number!!

I spent all day on the phone with the bank, police, check companies. Tomorrow I have to go get my account switched, notify all the places that do automatic withdrawal payments, and get my credit report and put my identity on alert status :shock:

Eh, I didn't pass my permit test the first time. It probably would have helped if I'd studied. But yeah, I took it on my 16th birthday and failed. Twas rather depressing. I took it the next day and passed. Now I've had my license for a year and a half, and let me just say that the world would probably have been better off if I'd failed a second time. :rolleyes:

Well, it's very different in France. French driver's license is quite harder to get, with no pretenses at all. First, you can't drive before you're 18 (or only with your parents) and then if you fail your driving test, you have to wait another 1 to 4 months to take it again. So it's out of the question to take it again the next day. Driving schools here are overburdened.
Besides, I don't even care about driving, I don't like it, reason why I've waited to be 20 to even start considering the idea. I'm just gonna need it soon. I would get myself a chauffeur if I could. :D

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I only had 3 hours of sleep last night. I'm tired too so I feel for you. :p

I was in an accident. It was terrible. I was changing lanes and didn't see this woman, and i think she was speeding and she hit me really hard, and I hit this huge road sign. Thank god it was there or else I would have been thrown into oncoming traffic and I could have been killed. The woman was only hurt a little, and I'm an EMT so I helped her, and she was pretty nice about it. I think it's faulted 50/50, but I feel more responsible for not checking carefully enough. And her car is really screwed up. My mom's bumper is ruined, but that's it. I'm okay, just a few scratches. I feel so stupid.

I went to the dentist and got a shot, 2 fillings and an x-ray, and I found out that i need to get 2 root canals since my braces were blocking the full damage. Also my mother made a appointment for me to go to the opthamologist for my yearly check-up to see if i have glaucoma, and they almost made my appointment on my birthday :blank:

oh and the anthesia from the shot i got in my mouth hasn't worn off yet :sigh:

Seriously, I feel like jamming a cigarette down his throat to calm him down. It's actually the first time he's ever really tried to quit and it's baad. He's not even a heavy smoker, and honestly I thought it should have been easier for him than this because he really doesn't have an addictive personality (that's more me), but he is incredibly cranky.

Thanks, Vash. I appreciate the input. I suggested the gum to him. At first he said, "No.", but I think he may try it, or the patch.
I don't think I can go through this for a month, though. Unless it gets easier for him day by day, and the moodiness starts to wear off.
