I wasn't sure if this was the place to go (and sorry if this is the wrong place but I didn't really know where else to post this) but if anyone could help me with this that would be great!
I'm interested in uploading some videos to Lost Media but the problem is I haven't got a clue how to do it! Could somebody please give me some step by step instructions for how to do it? I haven't ripped the clips just yet, but I know how to rip them and convert them to RM format but from there I am lost! How do you create zipped files out of them and so on? I really want to help out with LM but I'm lost as to what to do! Any help would be REALLY appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Do you have an account there? If so, then you just go to Lost Media Clips and then Add a New Download. I think instructions are then given as to what to do. I am unsure here... just trying to be helpful.
Hope it works for you.:)
ETA..You might find some answers here...

Thanks Deb! I do have an account, I just haven't used it yet! ;) I'll try out what you suggested! I might try PMing Mighty Squid if I can't figure it out! ;)

You can't upload a video to Lost Media. All you can do is suggest a video, but you wil have to upload the video to your own hosting place. (Unless a FTP account has been set for you).
To suggest a new video, you have to go to Lost Media clips (http://www.lost-media.com/modules.php?name=Downloads), then choose the right section for you video and click on 'add download' at the top of the page. The video will be pending approval, and if it's approved it ill be posted by either Gertie or Mighty_Squid.
:) I hope that helps.

I noticed there weren't any clips for "A Tale of Two Cities" and I was just wanting to add some! I can convert them into any format...RM, WMV, AVI. If I convert it into the wrong one just let me know! But I haven't ripped them off that episode yet. But you can host them on Photobucket, same as pictures right? As I said, I'm not too sure! Anyway, I'm going to rip them off the episode in a minute and test it out on photobucket, if that doesn't work does anybody have any suggestions for a video host?

I am supposed to make the recap clips for LM, but "A tale of two cities" is the only episode I don't have". You can use www.yousendit.com to upload your videos. The best format is WMV since many people like to use those clips to make music videos and make them in WMM.
And if that's ok with Gertie, you can send me the link, so I can save the video to my computer and upload it to my LM FTP account?! So Gertie won't have to upload the video again.

Sorry! I didn't realise it was your job to do that! I didn't mean to intrude or anything! :o But I will do these ones for you if you don't have this episode. I'm just uploading the videos now. I'll PM you the links when I'm finished...I should be done in an hour or so! (photobucket takes a while to upload!)

(Most downloaded vids freeze my PC and the ones that don't aren't any unique, so I'm no help, but) I believe photobucket hosting makes videos streaming, like youtube, not downloadable... Yousendit is better I think :p

Dang it! I uploaded them all to photobucket! I guess I'd better go and upload them to yousendit! Thanks for the heads up hoelli! :D I'm a little confused how to use yousendit! Lostaddict could you please PM me an email address to send the videos to? Sorry about the photobucket stuff! I thought it might be streaming but I wasn't 100% certain!

Oh, but you're not intruding or anything. Anyone can submit clips to LM. It's not my job. ;) I sent you a pm back. You need to give me links to applications so I can save the clips to my computer. Not links to streaming videos, as I can't save those. (ETA: Like Hoelli said above)
