The trick is to draw a lot of lines to mark off the proportions. I didn't erase all my lines so you can still see where I drew a line for the shoulders and the eyes and all the edges of the coat. Fill in the details last.

I can't describe what I like best about it, just the colors and everything, and something about how the toucan is placed in front of that huge dark mountain. :)

freckled kid I love the drawing of the girl. You really captured a sense of innocence which kinda glows off of the page. She reminds me of porcelain...odd thing to say but true:giggle:

Last semester in 2-dimensional art we drew some self portraits, and this semester my bro's got a blue ribbon at the art show! but i don't know how, it wasn't that good. :giggle:
