Okay, so I searched and there was a thread in the archived threads, so I'm really hoping that the mods don't mind that I started a new thread. ;)

I used to watch this when I was a little kid (My grandmother lived with us and she was blind and in a wheelchair, so she used to listen to TV all the time). Then I started watching again in high school but stopped. So now I've been watching for about a month since I haven't been working and I am completely hooked.

My favorite characters are easily Jason, Elizabeth, Sonny, Nikolas and Jax. I'm not a fan of Sam at all. I do like some of the characters they don't have on as much anymore- like Ned and Mac though.

So is anyone else watching this?

Has anybody been watching lately with the hostage crisis storyline? It's mostly being done for Feb. Sweeps, but it's pretty violent. Nontheless, I find it very entertaining.

I'm loving the crisis situation. Very dramatic. I'm definitely a Liason shipper (as if my avi and Banner didn't give that away). I'm also a huge Spinelli fan. he and Lulu are adorable together.

They where groundbreaking. Before that everyone besides Lucy and Ricky Ricardo where just square "Wally and the Beaver" type of relationships.

There ship changed soap operas forever. I think it changed romance books, Mexican soaps etc.. lot of impact.

No cable, no sat, no internet and just 4 channels. Good old dayz..

^agreed, they changed a lot of things. It was a very long, controversial and dramatic and intense relationship. They were the first (and in my opinion only true) supercouple for Soaps.

I started watching GH during Luke and Laura's search for the Left-Handed Boy. I wasn't a big fan of Tony Geary back then but I've appreciated and respected his talent as Luke over the years.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the hostage-crisis storyline - it's been very intense and everyone has done a great job. Can't wait until next week for the aftermath!

I'm pissed that they fired Stuart Damon; he's an important part of the show especially as a Quartermaine. Also, where are Robert and Anna?! Hopefully, they'll show up soon because of Robin's condition.

Definetely Spinelli. Dillon gets on my nerves. I wouldn't mind Milo and Lulu, but I've become a really die-hard Spinelli/Lulu shipper. :giggle:

Btw, I hope we get more Scrubs next week, I was having major withdrawl symptoms with Robin being in the hostage situation. :no:

I love Spinelli!!! I saw a promo he did for SoapNet today about the General Hospital run tomorrow. They always show the weeks episodes on Sunday afternoon and it will be interactive tomorrow. You can go online and post comments and they will scroll people's comments across the screen. If you ever watch G8, they do that all the time on that channel during Star Trek.

I missed Friday's episode (really crappy work schedule where I couldn't watch the soapnet airing either), so Monday morning before work that's what I'm doing. I need my Spinelli (and Jason of course,) fix!

Love Luke and Laura here too and I especially loved Genie's return in Novemeber! What an awesome thing to do- have another wedding for the 25th Anniversary! I would love to see her come back again. I here rumors she might, let's cross our fingers!

I really love Robin and Patrick right now! I think Jason Thompson is such a hot actor, and they have great chemistry together!

I pretty much love all the characters, except I'm obviosly not too fond of Maxie, or Ric right now, for obvious reasons, lol. I'm not liking Skye or Alcazar that much either, except I feel bad for how everyone is treating Skye now. Not a big Jax fan either. I used to like him a long time ago- when he was with Chloe, but now he's kind of different to me. I really would like to see Sonny and Carly back together. I always like Sam and Jason, but Jason and Elizabeth were great too, so I think that would be interesting, but I'd feel bad for Lucky. I love that Nik and Emily are back together- finally! Spinelli is really funny too and his stuff with LuLu is great. ;)

Mostly I started watching GH because of Jason like 7 years ago, i used to like him with Carly, and until this day I can only see him with Sam ( I was a liason fans when they started to getting close but then they went in separate ways and so was I)

I really liked the hostage storyline, i thin it was very good.

I have a feeling LuLu will end up with Dillon though. It's so obvious the two are in love with each other. This breaks my heart a little bit though b/c I really loved Dillon with Georgie, especially at the height of their romance, before everything went bad. They were awesome together!

I'm so glad this GH thread is up and running again. GH is by far my favorite soap. I started watching it when Tamara Braun (Carly #2) was on the show (I can't remember how many years ago that was) but I really love GH. My mom used to watch during the "Luke and Laura Years."
I really love Spinelli's character...I think he and Jason are such a hilarious team.
And him and Lulu are so cute...but I like Lulu and Milo too....either one would do I think.

And I adore Spinelli. I've said that a ton of times, but I just love him. I think he and Lulu would be very cute together. If she doesn't get with Spinelli, then Milo definitely gets my vote. Milo was so cute bringing her that health drink/smoothie. lol.

I started watching back when Sarah Brown was Carly and I never cared for whomever played Carly #2..Laura Wright is my favorite Carly though.

And whomever mentioned Chloe- I had forgotten about her! I loved her and Jax!

It is rather hard watching Stuart Damon's scenes (Alan) knowing he won't be on the show much longer. I've always liked all the Quartermaine's, so I think this is very sad. To give him all this amazing material just to have him disappear- it just baffles me.

I haven't seen Friday's episode yet (soapnet on Monday morning for me lol), but I can't wait.

I hear that "General Hospital" hottie Bradford Anderson will be there and Smoky Robinson will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award this year and most importantly, my friend Rene' Thurston who followed me from Virginia to southern California is working on the event. Rene' runs the Official website for actor Christopher Atkins, who is just one role from becoming an A-lister. The guy is in Malaysia right now working on his next feature film. Rene' and her talented husband Anthony Thurston, who is a wizard behind the scenes of movie production are the two best assets to leave the east coast and arrive in Hollywoodland. I grew up watching GH. My grandmother watched it all the time when I was younger and she still watches it. I haven't been able to watch much of it lately with work and all that lol, but I still love the show just as much as I did when Jonathan Jackson played Lucky.
I love Spenelli now though, and I live about two hours away from where he lives in NH. I can't say I really have a fave though.

Logan I like but I think this whole Scotty Baldwin being his father thing is a little weird. I mean, okay so it's his dad, but it's kind of cliche and Lulu would fall for him seeing as her mother was once married to his father...lol. But soaps are cliche. I just had to comment on the scenes with Jason and Claudia where they are trapped in the cabin by the assassin. I thought there was a hilarious thing. In the scene where Claudia was making nervous small talk and she commented to him that his non-verbal communication skills were so great and he just glares at her. Then she says, "See, like that!" Then he perfectly deadpans, "You should try it." In other words, "Shut up!!!" :crackup:

Also, does anyone think it was weird that when Anna shows up again, Jason Thompson takes a vacation that is going to correspond to the days Finola Hughes is on? Anyone think they might not get along?
