I DOnT KNOW!!! I'm a jater, but i can't make up my mind ho she should be with...but i generally veer towards will/elizabeth but i'm not going to vote as i practically ship both will/elizabeth and jakc/elizabeth.

i just can't wait till they get their own back and start jack/will :p ;)

I know how you feel! I felt so sorry for poor Will! :( He's so noble and good and doesn't deserve to be mistreated like that! :( I just wanted to give him a big hug! :giggle:

I voted for Will/Elizabeth and I'm a skater, but although I love the films I don't actually care who she gets with at all. I wasn't really looking at the romance side when I watched it, so maybe that's why I didn't really see anything between Jack and Elizabeth, especially on her part. And the only thing I got from him was a lust vibe. Do you think that she might get together with Jack? That would probably be more interesting actually. And I prefer Johnny Depp.

I'm a Skater but I'm rooting for Will/Elizabeth. I'm a much bigger fan of Johnny Depp than I am of Orlando Bloom (I think he's a much better actor) but something about Jack/Elizabeth in the last film seemed forced to me, maybe because I felt like Sparrowbeth was being shoved down my throat. I think I would have been O.K with it had it been a bit more subtle.

I'm a Skater, but I've always been undecided in PotC - I was a huge Will/Elizabeth shipper in COTBP, then leaned towards Jack/Elizabeth in DMC, but when I re-watchsd DMC I thought Will/Elizabeth again - I'm so confused!

i don't think sawyer and sparrow are really the underdog. i think they're more complicated that jack and will, a little bit more messed up :) but not necessarily the underdog.

yup, I'm a Jater and Will/Elizabeth fan. It's cool to see how that tends to work out a signifigant amount of the time (Skate/Sparrabeth and Jate/Elizawill)

I've also realized that a lot of ex-Buffy watchers (it seems like a lot of Buffy or Angel fans became Lost fans) who now ship Skate used to be Spuffy shippers (Spike and Buffy) and people who now ship Jate used to be Bangel shippers (Buffy and Angel).

Just goes to show ya that every love triangle is the same! ;)

PS. is the verdict still out on Will and Elizabeth's ship name? I've heard about 10 different ones...

Applies for me PARTLY, I´m a skater, and I did see the chemistry with elisabeth and sparrow there, and I like them. POTC1 I didn´t think about it that way, butin 2 I fell for sparrabeth. But hey Sparrow is one hot pirate :p Will is the good guy, the guy she should be with, but sparrow is the one she´s drawn to ;) sound familiar? :giggle:

I'm a Skater--and in the first PoTC film, I didn't ship anybody, just went where the story took me, and the Will/Elizabeth ending didn't bug me at all--though I did find Elizabeth to be a bit of a flake. So Will/Elizabeth didn't grab and hold me--but didn't bother me much, either.

Then in the 2nd film, I was doing the same thing: going where the story took me, and in the scene where Lizzie taunts Sparrow about how one day he'll prove he's a good man because he'll "want to know what it tastes like" and they nearly kiss but don't, I was on the edge of my seat going: Oh. My. God! Now *that's* an interesting pair! They grabbed me in a way she and Will never did. It was in that scene that I noticed how similar the two are in nature. Plus the bit near the end where they *do* kiss? probably one of the top ten screen kisses I have ever seen. So yes, I fit the proposed formula. :)

Oh, and way he called her "pirate" after the kiss, with so much admiration in his voice despite the fact that she'd basically trapped him (maybe because she had trapped him?)? Totally sealed it for me. Sparrabeth all the way, baby!

I think I have shipped them since the first movie but Will/Elizabeth doesn't bug me as much as Jate do (:giggle:) But I like Sparrabeth better :D

Well, Elizabeth ain't all good either. She did 'con' Jack and left him to die...of course, she felt guilty later, but Kate and Sawyer also feel guilty about what they did, Sawyer would never have killed that guy if he knew he wasn't the real Mr. Sawyer, and although Kate doesn't regret what she did to Wayne, she does feel guilty about it. They're not completely good, but not completely bad either. As Leah Kate said on her fic, you can't try to fit Kate and Sawyer on a black or white category, because they're neither, they are the gray.

I ship skate, but I prefer Elizabeth with Will... Because, really, Jack Sparrow is WAY too good for her and he belongs to himself, in the wild.

Also, the first time I watched DMC I felt like I had this Sparrabeth (or whatever) romance being shoved down my throat and didn't like the feeling at all. The second time it wasn't so bad, but Will's a great guy and deserves to be with the woman he's loved his entire life. Now that's fate! Sparrow just saw the piece of meat there (not that there's much... Keira Knightley isn't exactly a hot babe, but whatever :rolleyes: ).

It applies to me. I'm a Skate and Sparrabeth fan. Although when I started watching lost I was a Jater and hated Skate. But the more episodes I watched the more I disliked Jack and I finally began to ship Skate. It's much hotter and Hero/Girl ships are boring. Another ship I like is Phantom/Christine.
I also noticed, that people who ship Harry/Hermione are also Will/Elizabeth and Jate shippers.

You can expand your theory as to say that Jaters are also Bangels along with being Will/Elizabeth Shippers and Skaters are also Spuffy along with being Jack/Elizabeth Shippers. Same pattern in all three couples.

This does not applie to me. I certainly do see your point though and you are certainly not crazy. However I am a Skater and a Willabether (Will and Elizabeth). That being said though Skate is indeed one of my very few exceptions to that rule. I always go for good guy and usaly ship him with a good girl...well the girl who to most is considered good (not exactly sure if I still think that Elizabeth is a good girl...). In honesty I started shipping Skate in part largerly due (not only but it was a big part of why) to the fact that I was tired of my ships always sinking. I just came off of having one of my favorite soap opera ships sink due to a bad boy stealing away the good girl's heart. So to avoid that happening again I started to ship Skate. So Willabeth...that is the type of ship that I usaly ship...Skate and a few more couples are my exceptions to the rule. :D

And also, I don't know if this applies to the US, but something I noticed in Brazil is that most of the Brazilian Skaters are Clois shippers (we even made our own ship name, Skclois), but I have a Skater friend who ships Clana, and she said that most of her Clana friends are Jaters...

As a jater, I definitely don't ship Izzie and George. They are too weird for me. I also don't ship Izzie and Alex (the writers are constantly ignoring this pairing I dunno why...) but I prefer them over Iz/George :)

I voted Yes, although I think Will and Elizabeth is the right couple in Pirates of the Caribbean.
I don't see any future for Sparrow and Elizabeth. But I really LOVE the moments when I can see chemistry between Jack and her. And although I think Orlando Bloom is sooooooo sexy I still prefer Johnny Depp even with dirty hair and decayed teeth :D
