You mean Kate and Sayid??? Forgive me for asking and I don't mean to interrupt the celebration of "Kayid", but how is there anything romantic in there?

I fail to see it. Is this because many young women who watch the show fantasize about fake relationships that don't exist? "Yay! Romanticism all the way!"

Well, I think they both have awesome chemistry, like in Confidence Man. But I know they will NEVER hook up, so I just want them to have some more screen time together. I can see them becoming very good friends, though.

The reason why I do not support Shayid is because it was RUSHED. Just all of sudden. With the other ships, they are going at a good pace for people who have only known each other for less than a month.

I like Kayid. Actually I'll ship Kate with anyone...excluding a certain doctor. Ive liked Kayid for awhile. Yeah they dont have many scenes together, but the one's they did have were good. Good enough to build an actual ship on!

Could you add me to the list?! Although I am a Skater, I really like the idea of Sayid/Kate. :) I mean at one point I saw the love triangle as a love square. Jack, Sayid, Kate, and Sawyer. But now Kayid, I think as long passed, but I would still like to see more interaction between them or any for that matter. There hasn't been any since like episode 8! :eek:

I have some mixed feelings about this whole cult thing. I want to get as big as PB&J and Shoone, but at the same time, I think it's cool that we are a small ship. It's kind fo fun support a wacky ship that not a lot of people would consider.

Because I'd been preoccupied with other shows when Lost premiered, I hadn't seen the first few episodes in their entirety until I'd downloaded them recently. After seeing the first 5 or so eps., I noticed what great chemistry Naveen Andrews and Evangeline Lilly had. I wish they writers had continued capitalizing on their relationship even as just a friendship (for the time being). Pardon my language, but I think it was really shitty of them to pretty much halt all their interactions on the show. Now we're lucky if we even get to see them speak to one another for a few precious seconds every couple of episodes.

Yeah I agree. Naveen and Evie work great together. My first favorite ship is Sawyer and Kate, but if that doesn't work out, I'm already lovin' Kayid!

I don't even like Kate all that much, but if she got with Sayid, I think I'd end up liking her a lot more. She's so annoying when she's being all melodramatic with Jack and/or Sawyer, which is all the freakin' time! It seems to me like the writers were testing her and Sayid out in the first few eps. to see who they wanted to stick her in a love triangle with, and they unfortunately ended up going with Jack and Sawyer as her potential love interests.

Shoone was too skeevy for me. I was pretty grossed out when I saw the episode where they slept together even though it was pretty obvious beforehand that something like that had happened between them! And Skate and Jate are way too obvious and conventional. I hate those "meant to be" couples that are pushed on the audience (usually) from the outset of a show.

ETA: I actually was excited for Shayid when I first saw it coming together, but after they actually hooked up, I didn't like it anymore. And after I saw Kate and Sayid's earliest interactions on the show, I especially disliked Shayid.

Well, I started writting the fic before I became obsessed with Kayid. It was actually my fic that got me into it. Anyways... be like Stacie and prepare for the worst, because this fic is mostly focused around Sadia.

I agree though; the whole Shannon thing is a little strange and Nadia is a much bigger rival than Shannon. I mean, it's fun, for me at least, to make Shayid art because Shayid doesn't have too many fanartists, so at least you get some comments on your work, but other than that, I don't see it lasting. A fun fling that I've only marginally supported. Actually, I was seeing it over at "Sides" but Shannon had shown much more depth than I expected.

So, Kayid should last because, has anyone seen the first eight episodes? Is there one without Kate/Sayid interaction? I mean, I haven't seen "Tabula Rasa" (which is on next week, yay! New episodes in the middle of summer) but I know for a fact there is in every other episode. Since Sayid left they've had what, one scene where they actually talked together, excluding when Sayid passes out at the end of "Raised by Another." I think the writers made a huge mistake just ignoring those two, because at the very least they should continue being friends. For some reason, Kate relates to Sayid and he to her, so why ignore it?! Oh well, we can just blame the stupid writers.

I always loved watching the Kayid scenes because then I could actually tolerate both Kate and Sayid. Separate, they just seem so...bleh. Together, however, their chemistry is just so...wow and TPTB just chucked it out the window. :(

Speaking of moments, I was watching the pilot part 2 last night and when they were running from the polar bear and Kate turns to go back for Sawyer, Sayid wraps his arms around her waist to hold her back. I was like, "0.0" I'm so mad at myself that I forgot that scene :mad:

Yeah, they could've at least maintained their friendly interactions if nothing more! I mean I'd be kinda sad, but I'd be grateful that they still know the other person exists! Damn writers have to kill everything!

Being overzealous is good; don't worry, I think this was the first ship that I really loved, then Shayid moved in, things got murky, but I saw the light. I've always seen the light when it comes to Coake though. That's a great ship, trust me. Right behind Kayid, but I might be saying that because I'm not a big fan of PB&J (sorry, PB&J fans, that's just me).
