OK the previous Skate vids (http://lost-forum.com/showthread.php?t=18993)thread has gone beyond the 100 page limit so time for a new one.

First off I am gonna quote a post wich won't get answered in the previous thread, I'll bring it over here:

hey guys, I posted this thread in the shipper music video section but just incase it goes unnoticed I posted another one here :o :p . I wanted to do a music video of skate with the song "If I Never Knew You - Jon Secada & Shanice" with the best scenes from s1 - s3 but I am absolutely HOPELESS at it. If anyone's got any spare time I was hoping someone could do one with that song ... thanks heaps! :) :D .

if anyone here uses windows movie maker......can you please help me......i need to know how you make it so you can hear the audio of one clip.....and the music too for just that clip....when the rest is only music.....

cause i really cant work it out....

It's a video - almost - all about I do.

All the skate scenes are in it - it isn't THAT much edited, mostly just the scenes put too music, with a few flashbacks/forwards etc.

ok...so i made a movie with windows movie maker....

and it wont upload to youtube.... apparently its an invalid file extention or someting...

anyone know how on earth i can convert it to a .MOV file....or somewhere else i can upload it? cause id like to share *sniffle* im proud of my firstest video =]

Viggly, i thought it was really really beautiful...and so true too, everything Sawyer does, he does it for Kate :lotsalove:

I loved the changes between black and white, and colour...i think some of the best vids don't go overboard on the special effects, but just keep it simple and let the music do the talking.

OK I am very nervous because I just finished my very first attempt at video-making!!! :w00t: It contains scenes from season 1, 2 and 3 (including I Do) and it's mostly Kate's point of view since the song is from a woman's POV...

I'm quite happy with it, and at first I didn't want to share it (I'm shy:D ) but I thought it may make some other skaters smile too so here you go:

I would've done it to the song, but right now my sound's not working so it would be kinda hard, and secondly it's a 4 minute 30 second song and I'm terribly picky so it'd probably take me... uh... a long time.

...and I have ideas for my next vid (lots of ideas ;)), which I'm gonna have to do after my sound is back. I don't know when that is, though. Not to mention that I want to use a clip from an easter egg on the season 2 DVD which is a lot harder to find and I have no idea how to do it myself.

Geez. I have a lot of problems to overcome. :blank: And all of this is for a vid. :giggle: Ridiculous, isn't it?

I'm not sure why it's doing that, as far as I know it hasn't done that for anyone else, it may just be taking longer to load for you or youtube is acting up. I'm sorry.

The same thing happens to me. :( I really liked what I did get to see, though. :) ETA: I just listened to the whole song by Snow Patrol. Gah! How perfectly Skate! I wish I could see the vid.

ETA #2: I tried watching the vid on my sister's computer and it played perfectly. Must be something with my computer. Anyway, phoebsfan, "Open Your Eyes" was fantastic! I am in love with that song and the way you edited the clips....it was awesome. One of my favorite S/K vids I've seen - really beauitiful.

I'm no good at making these, so if anyone wants to make a vid to SR-71's Tomorrow (or point out me to one if there is one already), I'd be really grateful. It fits Skate in the mini-arc really well

Savanna - that video was amazing! :thud: I really loved it - the song was awesome and I think it was edited perfectly. I loved how you could see the pictures in the frame of the watch, and the split screens - that was a nice touch. Sawyer-centric vids are always my favourite, and all of the clips were put together really well. Great job! :clap:

angelsbreath - Beautiful, beautiful video, the song was gorgeous and fit with the clips so well. I loved the bit at the end with the love scene and then the post coital part, it was perfect, especially with the music. :cloud9:

deelee, that was the most perfect song to go with the video you made, and it's so skatey anyway. The first few lines especially. When I first saw that the title of the song, I thought 'hmm...Gloria Gaynor?' and I was kind of worried lol. Definately nothing to worry about there :giggle: - it was amazing! I loved the flashbacks in there too.

i love watcing both vids one after another right now! shall help with all the lost withdrawel feelings im getting. Love the song for the second half too- great choice! The tempo of the song works so well with the scenes as well, seems to start out dark matching the scenes from TLC but becomes lighter and it just fits. 'nuff said!

Thank you very much. This means a lot to me because I was unsure if this would work. I had to use slow motion scenes almost all the time so it could fit into the song. I was: Damn, those two move too fast, I have to make it slower. Anyway, it's not my best (and it was relatively easy to do it), but it's my first so I'm glad people like it. I'll try to make it more.

I also just watched Celieja's beautiful SW video again & I must say after watching that it's hard to believe that some fans can say that Skate was never built up throughout the first 2 season, WTF are some people watching,obviously not Lost!! LOL

That video goes to prove that if any ship was being portrayed as the "EPIC love story" or "Canon Couple" it was Kate & Sawyer,no doubt!!
