I am a Matthew/Jack fan but I want you all that love Ian/Boone to know I am very sad. I wish they woud let everyone be fine, it's a TV show, we don't need that much reality... :(
I can imagine how sad you all must be feeling... :(
I hope the writers will have Boone in Shanon's flashbacks.

I'm devastated. I tried going back to bed after I woke up and saw what happened... but I can't sleep. I'm going to miss Boone/Ian so much.
Isn't it crazy how focused and how involved someone can be in a show/ship/character?
Thanks for the sympathy, anacosta.

CrystalClaire I totally know how you feel. :(
It is amazing how we can get emotionally involved and attached to TV shows and characters.
I used to suffer every time Ross and Rachel had issues, I cried with them when they "where on a break"... I can't even begin to imagine how horrible it must be when our favorite character leaves the show. I don't think I would be able to ever watch Lost again if Jack was the one to leave. Just thinking that might happen any time makes me have second thoughts about following the show. I'm pretty passionate and I really feel all the emotions when I am watching a movie, a soap opera or a show.
Although I wasn't a Booine fan, I'm really sorry for what happened. :(

I cry about every little thing, lol. I cry when things are bad, and I cry when things are exceptionally and unexpectedly good. I haven't seen the episode yet, but I know I'm going to bawl like a baby.
*hugs* Thank you for your kindness!
I hope Ian will have another big role soon, and I hope he wasn't broken up about his character's death - I can imagine I would be. Ian's a great actor, and he really deserves to get another role. I'll miss seeing him every (two) week(s).

I haven't seen the episode yet but it isnt a shocker to me that Boone died...but I am sorry too for all the Boone fans who did cling to hope till the last moment..I know it would be me if this was Sawyer now...so I do hope he will show up on some flashback yeah.
I hope Ian Sommerhalder finds success in his next role too!
I pretty much didn't care that much about Boone, but now I don't want that episode to air in a near future...I cried just by watching the episode clips...Why does anyone have to die? I can't see the future episodes now without paying extra attention to Boone, and it's horrible to know what is coming! I'm so sorry for you Ian-fans, and for Ian himself too. I wish there is a way to take it back....:hug2: to Boone and his fans..

I have never become so attached to a tv show or tv character so much before! what im even more sad about is that Ian won't be on lost anymore...and if you read 'Friday Five" on a fan site of his, he's always saying that lost is the best thing thats happened to him, and that he loves it sooo much! all I can wish is that he will have a great career in the future, for he is a very talented actor!

So sorry for your loss. For those who haven't seen it yet, it was excruciating to watch-lots of tears shed in this house. From the previews for next week I can tell you that I don't like where all of this is going....
Rest in peace, Boone....
I'm sorry for Ian - he loved being on the show and obviously he didn't want to get off it.
It's sad about Boone too - he was just starting to get a little bit more liked, like in DEM, and then this happens. It all changed my view on Locke as well. So well, rest in peace, Boone. (And I guess we might as well say goodbye to Shayid. Not that I mind!)

I cried a little bit when he died... but I wasn't that sad.
It did make me sad though to see Ian on GMA this morning, he didn't seem too happy. :S
Unless he's just always like that?

it is hurtful that they would kill Boone. His character never had any real time to grow and have depth to him. They killed him off before he had a chance to become a strong character. I miss him. Him and Sayid are my faves.

Usually, he's a really funny, nice guy in interviews, and I've never seen him not happy before (except when he was acting, that is). I feel so sorry for him... words cannot even express. I can't imagine how it must be to be told to stop doing something you love. :(

Just being here has me in tears with the tought of no more Boone. Thewhole ep had me sobbing. I'm so P.O'D. by his death. My favorite characte is gone before he even got a chance to be developed. Poor Boone. He should've been saved. His death makes no sence. It'll be very hard to enjoy the show if I ever keep watching at all. This whole thing pississ me off and breaks my heart.
Poor Ian, poor Boone. I will always love you both.

I feel really bad for poor Ian. I saw him on GMA today and he was saying about how hard it is to leave everyone from the cast. I can't even imagine what that must be like. Spending nearly a year in Hawaii with the people that you grow used to and then suddenly, you have to leave. Must really suck.

Yeah, that's terrible. I'd hate to have to leave such a great show and wonderful cast.
Poor poor Ian.

I'm so sad . I didn't expect myself to be so sad , i was like "oh if it'd be Boone , that won't be so terrible..." (don't mean to offend anyone) but now i've seen the eppy and i can't stop thinkin' about his death.
So sorry for the Boone / Ian fans , hope Ian will find another (great!!) role soon , he's an awesome actor , he deserves it.

Poor Ian, poor Boone. I will always love you both.I can imagine how sad and frustrated Ian and his fans must be. It is very sad when you lose a character, specially in this case, the show being such a huge success and Ian getting to taste real fame for the first time. It's like giving candy to a child and then suddenly taking it away. Add to that, the friends he made in the cast and crew that he will be forced to not see anymore because they will be living far away. :(
No matter what the writers say, (that it was important that Boone die because of Locke...) I still don't see any reason for it to happen. Specially with Shanon and Sayid's story just starting. With Boone on the island their relationship would be much richer because Boone loved Shanon too. The same way Charlie was "dead" hanging from a tree and Jack managed to revive him, I don't see why it would be necessary to kill Boone (or anyone else of the 14).
We don't get GMA in Brazil. CAN someone please tell us how the show was ? What did Ian say, etc... ?

Even though Ian did die on Lost I dont think that ABC is gonna leave him out to dry. They are gonna offer him some pretty nice compensations and I dont think that it will be the last time that we see him on Lost. This show is crazy, anything could happen.

I didn't get to see him on GMA or R&K, and the clips on lost-media.com aren't working for me. :( Does anyone know where I can find clips of these appearances from any other site?I also wanted very much to see Ian's interview on GMA and R&K. But I've tried with 3 diffrenet browsers and noene can view the video clips at Lost-Media anymore :( I used to watch them always, almost everyday, now I can't access any onthe clips, not even the old ones I had downloaded before. :( I have no idea why this is happening.
Can anyone help ?
OK, I don't know if this has been posted here already, if it has please forgive me. I just saw on E!'s site there is a video with Ian (I think it is a new one from what I understood) but that one won't work with any of my browsers either. It did work before so I don't know what is wrong.
Can someone maybe download Ian's interview and upload it here for all os us to see ?
It's so sad to know Ian is sad about leaving Lost.
He tries to pretend he isn't but it's understandable that he feels sad. :(
Here's the text from Kristin's site:
"Ian Somerhalder Gave Me His Oprah Moment: Now you know Boone is (tragically) a goner. The upside? I can finally tell you what became evident a few weeks ago when I interviewed Ian Somerhalder--that the boy is heartbroken over leaving the show. At the Paley Festival event for Lost, as you can now see for yourself, he looked as though he might cry as he tried to make it seem as though he was talking about a simple summer hiatus instead of leaving the show for good. Frankly, however, he isn't the best liar, as you can see from the video clip. That said, he is a damn fine kisser...just ask my hand.
So, is Ian really it? Or will there be more casualties this season? Now, you know I don't want to give away too much--especially not here, since I normally deliver such things in the chat--but let's just say I heard a rather disturbing rumor about another castmember leaving the show this season. And that rumor comes from someone in the know.
I'm losing sleep.
Between that rumor, a rumor about yet another death next season, and what I'm hearing about that godforsaken boat they're building, I'm getting a little concerned that our favorite Lord of the Flies castaways will be dropping like flies.
Quick, Sawyer, hold me."

 I will be so happy for Ian if he gets a huge career bump out of this. However, no matter if he does a tv show and 2 movies in the next year, it will NOT be the same as seeing him on Lost.:( I REALLY want him to be back doing the role of Boone. That is the character I grew to love. The same thing happened when Third Watch PTB went and killed of the character of Bobby. I saw some other things that Bobby Cannevell(sp) did after his removal from TW and it was not the same. this is the most heart wrenching thing for me to accept here. And what pisses me off even more is that Ian was not given even an entire season. That idiot JJ cut him off way before it was over. Thanks a lot JJ for also "killing' my interest in this show. I wil never be anticipating ANYTHING about it again!

krazy1 I totally understand how you feel. :( I think it is so unfair. This is a TV show, there was no need to kill Boone off, in name of the "reality" of the show. There are so many make believe in Lost, why not keep the main characters alive ? Pretend there is no danger on that Island, big enough to kill one of them. Period ! If Boone (or Ian) were my favorite I wouldn't watch anymore. How could I ? Every single scene would remind me of him... :(

This is the very reason I am NOT looking foward to May 4th. With Ian no longer gracing my small screen, it is gonna suck! :( BTW, your favorite rocked on the last eppie. Jack was played flawlessly in trying to save my fav Boone. You could really see the fine actor Matt is when you could no longer see him as Matt, but were convinced he were a REAL doctor in Jack. I cried for Jack as well. He and Sun were perfect as the doctor and nurse tending to a severely injured Boone. I hope that Sun NEVER meets the fate my Boone did. That would be the final nail in the Lost coffin for me(no pun intented) She is by far my favorite woman on the show, with Claire second. I dont give a fig about Kate anymore. Her story is done and over for me. However, I would rather she be on the show instead of Shannon. God how I hate her. It should have been her that had her last eppie on 4-6. I want Boone back so bad. :(

Did you read in that interview that Matt was the first one he called when he got the bad news? I thought that was so sweet. :) He stated that the second one he called was Josh(Sawyer). He was very tight with those 2, Maggie(Shannon) and Dom(Charlie). I wonder how all of those actors have been feeling with Ian's absence? I bet it is rough for them as well, knowing that they are still a part of this wonderful ride called Lost but that their good friend Ian is not there anymore to be with them. Gheesh, i think I'm gonna cry now. :(

I would love to read the entire interview.
I'm sure all the actors miss having Ian on the set. From the clip I saw of him with E's Kristin at the MTR event, it did seem to me that Matthew and Josh are his best friends from the cast.
Just hearing you say that he called Matthew when he got the bad news makes me sad. I can imagine how heart wreching that phone call must have been for him and how sad and moved Matthew must have felt too, specially if Ian told him he was the first person he was calling. :(
Did you see the video clip at E's Kristin site ? I installed the new version of Real Player One and I finanlly was able to view it. Ian looks so sad... it was obvious there was something wrong. If you pay attention to the things he says, the words he choses, and how he tries to pretend he's feeling great... you could read in between the lines. And when you compare with the interviews with the other cast members, you realize Ian is the only one that doesn't smile, and notice how he avoid looking into Kristin's eyes. He didn't want her to read how he was feeling... No wonder E didn't air that interview until now... it would be too telling.
It was very brave of him to attend the MTR event. If I were in his place I would have asked to not be there. Yet if he didn't go he would miss his last chance to be with Lost fans gathered in an event. :( I'ma glad he did go, that way he had the chance to meet and greet many of his fans.

You know, I was thinking...maybe it's good that he's off the show now. For his career, I mean. Because many actors, when they are on a successful TV series, can never get work afterwards because they're always pigeon-holed into their character, or typecasted. This way, Ian gets MAJOR exposure, but isn't running the risk of getting typecasted in the future.

But my whole desire is to have back on the show. He was(and always will be) my favorite Lost actor(Sun holds a close second). I want him back on the show. Besides, like I said in another thread, at the rate JJ has been dealing with Lost, it might only get 2(maybe 3)seasons. If it does last only 3 seasons. that is just short enough not to be typecast. Well, that just my opinion.
