I think season three has been great so far, but I still wish Ana-Lucia was still a part of the show.

agree

she was great! had the most interesting character aside of sawyer. it's a shame they killed her of. even there are a lot of haters..that's just shows that she is important. that people think about her

season 3 was interesting somehow but it would be better with Ana in it. there would be some action if she would be there and not the boring 'in prison' stuff while the other losties don't care much about kate, sawyer and jack

I thought the press and a lot of other people have treated her very unfairly. I mean even the producers and Jimmy Kimmel and the cast were kind of snide when talking about her at the panel. I don't think they really gave her enough of a chance. I guess I'm saying this because I read her statement about what happend with the whole DUI and everything on her webstite, and it made me really feel for her, and think she's been treated unfairly. I also thought her character was cool and had a lot more to offer. I'm a huge Skater, therefore I'm on the shipper forums ALL the time, and they especially are very mean when talking about her. (Most of them). I don't know, I guess I just don't see what she did that was bad to warrant people being so mean to her. Everyone, including the cast and everybody else on the show act like they're so glad she's gone, and I just don't get it.:(

I couldnt agree more! Although, its not just skaters that hated her. She totally didnt get a chance from anyone. And its really sad. But reading about how she wanted off the show, from her own words, makes me feel a little bit better about it all, but the show is definitely not the same without her.

Me too! She was the sexiest pitbull we've ever met, :D and heavens, the yearning for her to be back again, is greater still.

I miss her edgy, fiesty, seething challenge, wild sensual dynamic whenever she was on screen with another character. Ana Lucia dared everyone. Especially Sawyer or Sayid. But didn't they end up both flummoxed, perhaps charmed and a little respectful.

Battle worn and tempted to her base instinct like Sayid, street-smart and emotionally wounded like Sawyer, sometimes fearless and fearful like Locke, and baring the responsibility like Jack (with a bit of loopy like Danielle :muwaha:) - she made you ACHE to save her. To unravel the mystery.

I think most of the hate came from the misunderstanding that she would take time away from fan-faves (shippers and characters alike). :sigh: Couldn't see that she was adding more to their story, than taking less.

She added a note so unique, imho, it hasn't be replicated since she left.

I liked Ana-Lucia as well. Actually, it took nearly the whole season for me to start to like her and then of course they had to kill her but the character really was not as bad as everyone liked to say. I don't think that Ana-Lucia ever did anything worse that what Sawyer does, and yet people hated her and love Sawyer. I guess there's advantages to being a Southern hottie. Well, at least we have the season 2 dvds to keep us from forgetting her.
