Ages and ages ago, us Jater's on this forum decided that we should all wear a standard black band, or thread around our wrist to show that we're Jaters.
Are any of you still wearing it?
I am :o , I'm sad I know, but my Jate band hasn't been off my wrist since I put it on, about half way through series one. :o :giggle:

I am not parting from it ever, except for maybe when I'm taking shower. I've got used to it so much I feel uncomfortable when it's not there. :D

I've tried wearing headband and gave up soon enough, couldn't stand the fact that it was squeezing my wrist too much. This one is different, it suits me just fine, I don't even feel it's on. We are gradually becoming one lol.
Me and my band are slowly becoming one too. :)
Though it's beginning to irritate me as it's getting looser.

That's when mine rocks, because if it becomes looser I can tighten it up again. :D
Umm, I really have no idea :eh: I don't even know how it's called in my language, let alone English. :blank: It has got to be some kind of elastic band or something. ;)

Been wearing it ever since we started the idea! lol.
The ONLY and I mean ONLY time I take it off is when I'm at acupuncture and the guy has to feel my pulse in my wrists. I even wear it when I'm in the shower :giggle:
I thought I was the only one that still wore it!

That's what I wear round my wrist, every day but only because I like having a har tie handy, I had no idea you guys had started this standard black band thing. That's so cool, so now my black band has a meaning :D .

I still have mine on! It's just standard black thread tied arond my wrist. i never take it off, even for soccer or anything. but it breaks a lot :( so i just put another piece on :D i carry a roll of standard black thread around im my pencil case :o.
and i always ties bits onto my friends arms :D
funny story, i had a piece around my friends wrist, and she went and saw her cousin, and her cousin looked at it and said :shock: is that STANDARD BLACK threas?!?!?!

I still wear mine! i tied the sewing thread round my wrist pretty tight so the only way i can get it off is if i cut it with scissors or something.
i started that thread where we all agreed to wear one back in the day! :D

OMG!! I remember reading something about 'Jate bands' earlier this summer. I didn't know if anyone was still doing it, but I made one anyway! :w00t: I used my mom's heavy duty needle-point thread. I never take it off!! None of my friends know what it means though;)

I'm doing a dance show in late October, so I'll have to take mine off then, for the first time since I put it on :(
But I think once the show is done, I'll make a new one, but I don't want a hairband again. What do you lot suggest?

Well, I will definitely get one once I can. I know that they gave out good luck ribbons to wear around our wrists in 5th grade, and I had that purple ribbon abround my hand until it finally just wore out its last thread and fell off in 8th grade.

I woke up today without mine on my wrist. :eh: I was like. :shock: :shock: :shock: Was looking for it for about 5 minutes and then found it on the floor next to my bed (I have a red/blue/red/blue etc carpet so I didn't notice it at once). Jeez, I so freaked out when I thought I won't see it again... must have been a hell of a dream. :shifty:

hehe, I remember that thread. We had a whole list of Jater stuff to wear, I think it went something like this...
1. Standard Black thread bracelet.
2. Friendship bracelet made with any of the Jate colors (standard black, purple, green, blue or orange)
3. Bracelet with letters on to spell Jatey things
4. Key around your neck on standard black thread
5. Badges with any of the wonderful Jate scnes on
I never part with either of my bracelets...ever. lol. I remeber...the one time i took it of...the ONE time, I hoovered it up by accident and had to pull the hoover apart to find it :giggle:

we got black bands from school to support something that i can't remember and everyone elses had writing on them apart from mine. but i thought it was awesome how mine (even tho you can't see it) says standard black. heheh shot go me.
the writing next to it is the lost numbers that i wrote into the computer desk when i got bored lolz

I'm so glad loads more people are doing this now! I remember when only a few of us did it.

for some reason I put mine on the right.. although I like the left hand thing with the heart, but I can't seem to make myself take it off and put it on the other wrist! It will be off me for two seconds too long! lol! I've only had it on for like two weeks but now I can't be seperated from it.
