Alright, this information was taken from the old recommendations thread. Feel free to recommend any Skate, general, or multiple ship fics, though our main focus is the Skate ones. I will update the main post here, so there is no need to go looking willy nilly for links if you need them, they’re here.

It is very possible that I accidentally left out some things, or didn’t put them up because I wasn’t sure of how to list them, just ask me to list it again, and I’ll figure it out. There were only a few things I left out, though, so that shouldn’t be a problem! Stories are alphabetized by writer name. Again, if a correction needs to be made in already posted material, let me know. If I couldn’t figure out the rating, I probably put PG-13 for safety, so if that’s wrong, by all means, correct me.

You should add Once Upon a Second Chance by DriveShaft4Dee over at Losttv-forum. It's the third story in her series

I couldn't find another Skate fanfic thread, but I had a fic I wanted to let you guys know about. I know, a Jater writing a Skate fic? Well, I'm embarking on a knew WIP project, Life Interrupted (http://lost-forum.com/showthread.php?t=44512), that's a Jate/Skate fic- and I really mean, Jate/Skate. Just because I'm a Jater doesn't mean the fic will turn out Jate, but just because I say that doesn't mean it can't. A full summary won't be given out until chapter two, but I can assure that if you decide to read, there will be some Skate in there:)

The story's PG-13 by the way, and it's a post-finale fic(with a catch);)

just wondering why the fic, a dream is a wish the heart makes is on the list. it is a jate story. kate and sawyer are together for two weeks that kate gets in a coma and sees how "good" life wiht jack would be so she chooses him . i think u should remove it. nothin against the author, but its a jate story so it shouldnt be on the skate list

I was trying to remember the name of it the other day, and here you are trying to find it. Weird.

But anyway, I'd love to find it too! It was so good, and then I lost it. Pretty much what wophers said, and Charlie brings Sawyer into his and Claire's house first, and Claire comes in late and accidentaly kisses Sawyer cos it's dark and he's on the sofa.

I can't describe it very well, but there was some shooting aswell, and Jack was in it...it was aaaages ago, so I can't really remember much of the plot...

I must say, I'm addicted to fics! I never thought I would say that! I used to think it was silly to read a thing that in fact is not official, you know? But now, that's the fun part, right? That's the best thing about fics: they fill the space official writers didn't fill (or couldn't due to lack of imagination, airing time, network's pressure...), anyway! Since "In Hiding", the first fanfic I read (we gotta start with the best!), I've been reading pretty much everything (well, every Skate one at least!) and I must say that if you're reading "On The Road" or "Black Halos" and you're loving them, you MUST read "Lessons"! The writting is fantastic! Here is the summary:

Three years on from the crash of flight 815 and the survivors are back in the real world. Sawyer needed a partner, Kate needed a living. Now, they work together, conning their way around America. But the more Sawyer teaches Kate, the more she wonders if she could ever truly trust him. (Started post ‘The Long Con’, and spoilers may appear for any episodes that are shown during the writing of this fic due to its nature as a post-island piece.)

People, enjoy the tips while they're free :p I garantee you won't regret reading "Lessons"! Butterfly is a really great writer and Skater, I must say ;)

Of Mortal Coils And Faulty Angels by movie_luvver (Hannah) is IMO the best Skate fic out there. It's on the K&S Diaries, Fanfiction.net and on the fanfic thread here. I don't want to spoil it because it is a long story that has loads of twists and turns that will be ruined if you know what happens, but Hannah really keeps the suspense in every chapter and it keeps getting better and better. She updates regularly, and Sawyer and Kate are in perfect character. It's really angsty and she is an amazing writer - it is creative, intelligent and a really beautiful, descriptive story that has a bit of everything. The story starts on the island but they get off, and right now they are on the run. And not only from the police! :shock: And there is an ongoing story about Kate and pregnancy. I won't give too much away, but it's just getting to the good part on that plot. I'd definately recommend it.

Sounds boring but I bet you are not able to guess who it is, at least I was surprised and intrigued right from the start. A huge part of the story, Sawyer's and Kate's past, is revealed in flashbacks. Pg13 and quite angsty.
