Baby Jaters- savor it while you can- it DOES go fast. I Love being my age right now, and i wouldnt want to be anywhere else. Just looking at these past few years, i never thought i'd get my permit, then license, then be able to drive(and total my car....already). It all goes by so fast! YES!!! I loved those scenes too! Just from the looks on Jack's face you can tell exactly what he's thinking... and he's thinking... "I love Kate." hehe.

The one where I am alone was taken May of last year, you can see the "sugar loaf" behind me, one of the tourists sights of Rio. Don't ask... I have no ideas why it has that name...

The ones with Pierce, John and Patrick I took when they were in Rio visiting. Pierce and Patrick came to Rio promoting their movies and John Travolta came in vacation with his family (sisters, father and niece) :)

Pierce was adorable and even played with my Cairn Terrier and jokingly called me "Laura" from his Remington Steele" days. :)

Patrick was a sweetheart, he invited me to meet him and his wife at the at the airpoirt before they boarded back to the US. :)

And John surprised me with an invitation to have lunch with him at the hotel the day he was leaving. We chatted just the 3 of us for over 2 hours, John a friend of mine and I. :)

lizzyinmaryvilletn it was a real dream come true. I sincerely didn't expect to have a chance at meeting both but I guess destiny wanted me to. Here's what I did, I read in a newspaper in Rio that Patrick would be in Brazil to promote one of his movies (this is pretty rare, we seldom get any Hollywood stars promoting movies in Brazil, this is not London you know...) so I was decided to find out in what hotel he would be staying. After some investigation I found out he would be only 15 minutes walk from my place. :) So I managed to find out the date he would be arriving and I went to the hotel with little hope of meeting him. I got there after Patrick and his wife had already checked in. I convinced one of the hotel staff to let his agent know I was a fan and that I was down at the hotel lobby wishing to meet him. The agent he had with him in Rio (a Brazilian woman from the movie company) came down after a few minutes and started chatting with me. I think she wanted to see what I was like. Then she told me she would go up to his room and let him know about me. A few minutes after that the phone rang at the desk, it was Patrick asking the hotel employee to tell me he would be down soon when he was leaving for a press conference at another hotel. He came down with a bodyguard that was supposed to follow him to the other hotel and waved him off so he could meet me alone. We chatted for a few minutes and before he left to enter the car (that was parked in front of the hotel) he told me he would be leaving Rio the next evening and invited me to meet him again at the airport. OF COURSE I agree to so he told me the number of his flight and what time he would be arriving there. The next morning I sent his wife a dozen roses and a thank you note to his room. That evening I met him at Rio's international airport and had the opportunity to stay with him and his wife in the airport's VIP room before they boarded the plane. He was a gentleman. :)

Pierce has been one of my favorite actors since I first saw him in The O'Manions of American in 1982. So when I read in the same newspaper that he would be arriving in Rio to promote a Bond movie I knew I had to try to meet him. He happened to stay at the same hotel Patrick stayed. I tried the same method and once again it worked :D I waited fro him in the hotel lobby and as soon as he came down to leave for a celebration with the movie producers we met. The agent that was taking care of him here in Rio (again a Brazilian woman) was amazed that he had a fan from the 80s. She asked me to come back at so and so time because that's when Pierce would be coming down to leave the hotel and asked me to bring with me the scrapbook I mentioned I had of him from the beginning of his career. She was amazed that he would have a fan in Brazil in the 80s because Pierce only became famous in Brazil after playing Bond. So about 3 hours later I went back to the hotel and I took with me my old teenager scrapbook filled with Pierce posters from the 80s and magazine interviews, etc... the agent was delighted to be able to see all this material, she isn't even old enough to know who Pierce was back then :) We just sat there in the lobby looking at the scrapbook. About 30 minutes later Pierce came down and came up to me saying something funny like: "So you are my only Brazilian fan huh ?" We all had a laugh. He then asked me a few questions and congratulated me on my English. The agent showed him the scrapbook and he looked fondly through the old pictures saying things like, "Oh... those where the good ole days..." :) He asked my name, and other personal stuff. I told him it was his fault I had become an actress because when I was 13 he inspired me enough to go back to acting school. He simply made me feel at home from the very first minute. Thank God that hotel is the most expensive one in Rio, so there are very few people coming in and out, we had a chance to talk with no interruption and no hurry. I told Pierce I had lives 3 years in London so we talked about England too. It didn't feel like a fan/idol chat, it was more like old friends meeting. That's how he makes you feel. :) He said he was upset because he wanted so much to have his family with him but the producers weren't willing to have them around while he was promoting the movie. He had to be in Rio for 3 days but he was thinking in staying a little longer so he could enjoy the city besides the work. Then he was gone for the dinner they were attending. The hotel is in the same route I go by when I walk my dog, so the next day I secretly wished to be lucky enough to have a glance of Pierce. It was a Sunday, the Atlantic avenue was crowded like it always is on Sundays. When I crossed in front of the hotel a hotel employee re recognized me from the day before and called me to say Pierce had managed to get away from the bodyguards (2 I think) and escaped through a hotel side door. No one knew where he was. I had to laugh. I continued walking on the beach sidewalk and suddenly I see Pierce walking on the sand. The beach was so crowded that no one realized it was him... I just looked and smiled to see he was able to get away from the Hollywood madness for a while. :) I continued my walk and half an hour later I was again in front of the hotel, going back to my place when I saw Pierce crossing the avenue towards the hotel entrance. I stopped and waited to say hi. He saw me smiled and looked at Tobi (my Cairn Terrier) and as soon as he was close enough he said something like: "Oh you've got a Cairn !" I guess that's when he realized I had indeed lived in England. :) He stopped at the hotel door and we chatted a little. He played with Tobi and pretending to be Remington Steele, said in RM's accent:"Laura, Laura, if the press sees us together they'll say we have something going on..." which of course made me laugh. :D One thing I loved about Pierce is that he is a funny guy. everything he said would have a funny tone to it. The next evening I went back to the hotel to see the glamour of Brazilian stars arriving at the red carpet for the Latin America premiere of the Bond movie. Pierce of course was there and I could see him in the lobby greeting some folks. There were hundreds of reporters and photographers going in and out. I didn't have an invitation but I thought it was fun just to see all those famous going in for the premiere. I was only a few minutes walk from my place, it was time for my evening beach walk so what the heck why not ? Then everyone arrived, got in and started celebrating with a cocktail before the actual screening of the movie. When it came time for the movie to start all the reporters that were still outside rushed in, all of a sudden it was silent and I was left alone at the hotel front door. I was ready to head homer when I heard behind me: "Well well Laura... you just can't stay away from me one day ! We better get married already!" As I turned around there was Pierce alone standing at the front door ready to get away from it all. The car driver was parking the car in front of us and Pierce's Brazilian Agent came after him asking if he was really going to flee. To which he replied smiling, "Oh this city has much better things to do !" he then turned to me again and looking at a reporter that had just found out he was leaving Pierce said: "I'm leaving but my friend Ana would like to stay in my place, why don't you invite her in ?" The reporter didn't have time to answer, Pierce was in the car and gone in less than 10 seconds. I only had time to smile back at him and shout out: "Have fun !" The reporter looked at me, smiled and of course invited me to watch the movie with him. :)

Oh my God! LMAO. THAT IS a fat cat! My grey cat is fat too. My uncle calls her "Big Grey"...lol. Here are pics of my pets. They were taken yesterday. We had to put them in crates because so many people were coming in and out. (We have FOUR offers, ALL of them for full price, and one for a bid OVER!! We're selling it for 203,700 and we only owe 85,000 or something like that. Gosh I'm so excited. Erm...anyway...lol....the grey one is baby, the beautiful multicolored one is Snickers aka Snickey, and the dog - of course - is Maggie aka Maggles aka Maggot.
