adlin, how about a graphic/art designer? There are lots of jobs there for small companies and you are good at stuff like that :)

No no no... graphic designer is NOT a good industry to get into!! I would know...coz I AM one! You have 2 choices being a graphic designer: work for an in-house art department of a corporation, or work for an ad agency. A corporate job will pay more and be more challenging, but it will hardly get you anywhere beyond the first 2 positions you hold. If you get into an ad agency, you WILL be worked to your bones for many years before you becomes a senior designer, art director, or creative lead and the pay is HORRIBLE. Graphic design is perfectly fine as a freelance job or side job, but if you are an ambitious person, it's probably not a good industry to get into.

However, if you really are interested in graphic design but you don't know if you'd like it in the long run or not, you can always work for a temp agency, like Aquent, to do short or long term assignments at various places or locations. Most places these days are mixing the responsibilities of a graphic designer and a web designer (because they don't really understand the difference between the 2 positions) so be prepares to get into Flash, Dreamweaver, and light web programming.

lol thanks Wag, to be honest my brother is a graphic designer and because of that i don't want to be one. I always want to be different from him. I mean i went to music school when i could have gone to art school but why did i choose music school, that's right my brother was going to that school and i didn't want to be at the same school. lol.

Yeah i like doing graphics, maybe i'll do freelance. I'm also good at making clothes so that's another thing that interest me. Don't worry, guys. I think everything will eventually fall into place. I think it takes experience before we figure out what we really want to do. I used to think I knew "what I wanted to be when I grew up." (I actually wanted to be a surgeon... then I realized I would never make it through med school, and that I really didn't want the pressure anyway). It is very frustrating though... not knowing what you want to do. Right now, the way I think of my job, I think of it as a stepping stone. Which is good and bad. Because it makes me feel like it's an experience that will lead me somewhere else, but at the same time, I hate the idea of it being "a transition job", and something I'm not going to stay with. I don't know. Life sucks. :mad: What can I say? *shrugs*
