Ok, put yourself in Claires's situation just for a minute. She found out that Charlie had drugs, then Charlie takes her baby down by the Ocean and won't give Aaron back to her. This doesn't look good to her, she thought her baby was in danger. I know I would do the exact same thing Claire did. I wouldn't let Charlie near my baby.. well at least not for a while. I have nothing against what she did.

Well, we saw why Charlie did what he did. He wanted to save Aaron. He could've went about it a better way, but yeah.. he was desperate.

I love them both.. and I understand why they did what they did.

he made a mistake and everyone abandons him!
he sees that something is going to happen to Arron and no-one believes him
when he tries to save Arron Lock has a go at him and his face has now got scares on it!
claire should try and see thought the whole druggy thing! it's not like he was using!

Here's my take on why I think (and that's all it is, an opinion) this thread is redundant: There is a Claire-is-our-favorite thread here in Other ships for those of us who don't care for Charlie's part in the 'ship. Then, over in Character Analysis, there's a "Charlie Support Group" who are basically anti-that thread, AND there's a "Claire should Die" thread in Claire's area of CA. So both sides are pretty much covered.

Why a new thread for what we've already discussed 100 times? I don't hate PB&J and I don't hate PB&Jers; but the more threads like this there are that just rehash the same stuff, the more persecuted those folks are going to feel.

I don't know why any of these threads exist to begin with. I can see championing your favorite pairing or even having what I call a 'wish list' ship of couples who will never get together. (Like the Saywer/Claire one. The powers that be said that's not going to happen-) but its fun pretending and writing fanfic. I was kind of partial to Charlie and Ana having a thing but I knew that was too fantastic to ever come about.

However the negative "Anyone but Jack for Kate' or 'Anyone but Charlie for Claire' or whatever stuff I don't understand. Have your ship with whoever you want for your favorite character....enjoy the company of people who think the same way you do and ignore everything else. All the anger isn't going to change what's going to happen on the show.

i liked c/c at first, i thought "charlies cool, claires cool, why not stick 'em together?" but now, thanks to the ccsc, i see that they are not right, at least not right now anyway. i can see how claire was hurt about charlie not telling her about the drugs and i cans see how charie's hurt about everyone abandoning him. but, if i have to pick a side, i'm definantely choosing charlie.

Yes, Charlie has made huge mistakes. And yet instead of sticking by him like he did for her, Claire abandons him and takes up with Locke, whose interest in her son is kind of creepy. He reminds me of the aliens in The X-Files who are after Scully's baby. :shifty:

Anyway, yes--I used to like their dynamic, but Claire doesn't deserve him. And their kiss, although part of me was still grinning at it, was so awkward and just bizarre. It's sad. They could have been a cute couple, but of course the writers ruined them. Sigh....

Alot of people shy away from Coake because of the age gap, but I just don't see the issue. People with way larger age gaps fall in love and get married all the time. And honestly, all that really matters (in my opinion) is that Claire is getting treated well - Locke (once again in my opinion) has treated Claire alot better this season then Charlie has. I'm not saying this to start a war or a fight - it's just my opinion. And you're free to have your's. :)

So, summarised? Age gap doesn't really matter for me (and I'm sure the other Coaker's feel the same way).

They're not together, if you re-read what I said I never said they were. I simply explained why I (and I believe the other Coakers) don't see a problem with the age gap. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion, but I know I didn't say they're together.

ok seriously, I've been in a situation slightly similar to this and my boyfriend was ok about it and he didn't leave me!
Claire of all people should see that in Charlie's life he's always been abandoned and so she would have cared for him no matter what!
but no she just kicks him out and lets Locke have a go at him with out even thinking of it from Charlie's point of veiw!

That's why I think Charlie deserves better!
