Henry Ian Cusick fans

I think he is a really great actor. I loved his guest appearance on 24 this season. I haven't been able to see any of his movies yet but I will try and check them out.

He is a good actor... I only have seen him in LOST though, I like his character and his preformances have been very good ones.

I was so happy to see Desmond return in the finale. I think it is pretty impressive that Cusick was able to make such a big impact on viewers in the little time that he was on screen in the first few episodes.

Cusick is an awesome actor even though i've only seen him on Lost. I really hope he's a regular in season 3 but i'm not sure because his fate in the hatch was unclear in LT,DA. He would make a great addition not only on the island but as a flashback character.

SCOTS STAR HAPPY TO GET LOST FOR A YEAR

SCOTS actor Henry Ian Cusick is set to solve the mysteries of Lost and become a main character in the smash-hit TV show.

American viewers have already seen the cliff-hanger finale of the second series that leaves Cusick's character, Desmond, facing death.

The actor, from Newton Mearns, near Glasgow, was only due to make a few appearances in the tropical island drama.

But after receiving "keep the sexy Scot" petitions from viewers, producers decided to write in a miraculous escape in the episode to be shown on Channel 4 in September.

Cusick, who has signed a megabucks contract, said: "I've been asked to be a regular for at least a year.

"I have to be in Hawaii at the beginning of August to start filming and my family are moving out to join me later.

"It's a great opportunity for me and I'm grabbing it with both hands."

Cusick, who is half-Peruvian, plays Desmond, a castaway discovered by the other survivors inside the mysterious hatch.

His intense performance won him a surprise Emmy nomination for outstanding guest actor.

In series three, due on British TV next year, Desmond's girlfriend Penelope will be seen desperately trying to find him after he disappeared on a round-the-world yacht trip.

And her quest could be the key to rescuing all the stranded survivors, who are thought by the outside world to have died in a plane crash.

I've never seen any. One article I read that was linked to his archived fan site was from a UK mag back when he first appeared on Lost said that he's not well known in England at all. The article described him as a househusband. His wife had a 9-5 job at that theatre and he picked the kids up from school and cooked dinner every evening.

I thought it was funny in the USA Today article how he had to get married to his wife to get her into the US. Common law marriage is recognized in Texas but I guess in the greater US, it doesn't recognize it for immigration purposes.

That's something that Javi (one of the Lost writers from last season) said over on the Fuselage, after The Long Con episode aired. Someone asked him "so, are Sawyer and Kate over?" and he said 'Yeah, it's over...just like Ross/Rachel, Han/Leia, etc, etc' were over. I thought it was fairly cute. That's the scene when he washes the disciples' feet. It's a word-for-word presentation of the Gospel of John and it says that Jesus took off his outer garment and took a towel and water and washed the disciples' feet. It's really moving and probably would have been better if I were seeing Ian for the first time, but I couldn't stop going, Oh my gosh, he's bearly wearing anything!

Multicultural like “Lost”: My father is Scottish while my mother is a Peruvian. They met and married in Peru where I was conceived and born. Then we moved to Spain and to Scotland. We moved back to Peru for 10 years and then returned to Scotland and went to England.

“Babel” on TV: One of the best things about “Lost” is having a multicultural cast and hearing different accents on television.

Show me the money: I come from a theater background in England. This is my first American TV series and I am just enjoying the money.

What he does not like about Hawaii: Those big shorts that go down to the knees. I want short shorts. Or I take them off. And there are no nudist beaches here.

Bizarre: I was fascinated by the whole phenomenon that “Lost” has spawned on the Internet, almost like a subculture. I don’t think it has happened with any other TV show so I went online. Other actors did it too like Terry O’Quinn (Locke). I would write into one of these Web sites called fuselage.com but it became so time consuming that I had to stop. Some of the theories they come up with are bizarre; some are good.

This is what I should do - I spend way too much time here! Ha!

Yeah, that's kinda weird because he's been quick to explain that his 'nude' scenes are not really nude. Before 'they' wiped out his archived website, there was an interview where he was quoted saying that in the picture of him in Don Juan, he was not showing any 'bits'. :giggle: Also, he said he had to wear a G-string for the Lost episode and it started feeling comfortable after awhile. He said, 'that can't be good, can it?'

The only thing about his recent pics is that he has that thick beard and long, long shaggy hair in all of them! Wonder when he's gonna go back to shaving?! Also, since Charlie, Claire and he seem to be forming a triangle, it would be a good jealous scene for Charlie to see Claire giving him a haircut! :D (Not too short though. I still like it mostly long!)

Who should be People's 2006 Sexiest Man Alive?

People's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue comes out this Wednesday, and it's about time -- this whole year I've had no idea who I should be considering hot! According to NY Post gossip columnist Liz Smith, Diddy will be one of the 15 finalists hand-picked by God. Him? Eh.

So who else should it be, PopWatchers? If I had my way, the winner would be my fake boyfriend, Henry Ian Cusick from Lost. He's tall, strong, believable in tie-dye, and (understandably) a little off in the head, just the way I like 'em. (I embrace this obsession of mine well aware that if not for the accent, I probably wouldn't care about the dude.)

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church is holding a potluck supper this Sunday, followed by a movie on the church’s newly installed LCD projector.
The potluck dinner will begin at 5:15 p.m. and the film will start at 6:30 p.m.

Sections suitable for the Easter season from the widely acclaimed film The Gospel of John, directed by Garth Drabinsky, have been chosen for the occasion. Movie narration is by Christopher Plummer and the leading actor is Henry Ian Cusick. The film has a PG rating and will run for approximately 75 minutes. There is no charge to view the movie.

“The film gives powerful new expression to the whole drama of Easter,” noted pastor Raye Brown. “We are happy to be able to offer it to the Huntsville region at this time.”

This latest event in the Sunday Fellowship series is for the whole family. The new children’s film, Easter Carol by Veggie Tales will be shown as well. All are welcome to St. Andrew’s, which is located at 1 High Street.

Timing is everything for 'Lost' actor

Like the mysterious Desmond Hume, whom he plays on "Lost," actor Henry Ian Cusick has a knack for timing.

When he auditioned for "Lost" (10 p.m. Wednesdays, ABC) right after its first season, he didn't know much about the series. He had read a few pages of a script, was intrigued and knew he wanted to be on the show.

So, while living in England, he made a DVD of his audition and sent it to producers in Hollywood. They liked what they saw, and soon Cusick was ushered onto a hit series.

Out of the gate, he didn't have to fret over whether his new job would last long. "Lost" was clearly a hit when he joined in season two.

But the hit factor wasn't what Cusick says he was looking for. "All I knew was that I liked what I read (in the script)," he says. "When I joined, it was already a hit, but I didn't know that."

In 2006, he was nominated for an Emmy for the role.

Desmond is one of the island's more offbeat characters. He's a Scot who had crossed paths with Jack (Matthew Fox) before being stranded on the island with him.

He shows up in just the right place at the right time.

Whether Desmond is there to turn the mysterious island key or coincidentally nearby to make sure a castaway isn't accidentally killed, he's a man who's always around in the knick of time.

Desmond's ability to seemingly forecast events has also made his fellow castaways uneasy and fearful.

The public, though, has the opposite reaction.

"When I go out, people don't generally recognize me," he says, "but sometimes I'll get, 'Are you that weirdo? Are you that guy from "Lost'?"

He's hardly a weirdo. During an interview, Cusick is confident, calm and coy about his background. He says he has three siblings and was "an average child," who, unlike other young actors, did not particularly act out to get attention.

"I was quiet," he says.

He was also late often. He was kicked out of The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama when he was 19 because of chronic tardiness.

"I don't regret it," Cusick, 40, says. "I was very cocky and very arrogant then."

But the ejection made an impression. "I try to be on time for things now," he says.

After leaving the Royal Academy, Cusick joined the Glasgow Citizens Theatre, where he performed for years. He also was part of The Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and other Scottish playhouses.

Cusick now lives in Hawaii, with his wife of two years. He has three children.

Working on an American series was always his aim.

"It meant security," he says. "Because I had a family, I needed the security. I was tired of doing stage work, where there was a lot of work to do for very little money.

"The timing was right for this to work out."

I don't know if it's been mentioned in here before or not (I don't have time to read the whole thread), but it's interesting that Henry Ian Cusick plays Desmond, someone that has been trying to "Save" Charlie this season, and we have Charlie singing "Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me" from OASIS' "Wonderwall" when they cross paths unaware back in the UK a few years back, when H.I.C. played JESUS CHRIST (a/k/a The Saviour) in a movie version of the Gospel of John:

The handsome actor - who joined two of his co-stars to attend the opening party of a new Italian TV film festival this week - has emerged as one of the show's key players in series three.

Henry's strong bond with co-stars Jorge Garcia, who plays Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes and Terry O'Quinn, aka John Locke, was there for all to see this week as the trio stood side by side in the Italian capital. And even though Henry joined in season two - after he impressed bosses with an audition tape he sent from the UK - he seems just as much a part of the family.

The actor moved his family from London to the Hawaiian island of Oahu last summer when bosses confirmed he would take up a regular role in the series. And that wasn't the only life-changing event. He also tied the knot with Annie, his partner of 14 years - with whom he has three children, Eli, 13, Lucas, nine, and seven year-old Esau - as visa restrictions would have meant she could only stay for three months at a time.

Henry and his fellow Lost stars will return to the jungle when they begin lensing series four in August.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and post-terrorism-apocalyptic couple Jessica (Gabrielle Anwar) and her annoying milquetoast realtor-husband William (Henry Ian Cusick) have retreated to their recently purchased isolated rural ranch to satisfy William's desire to be far from the madding crowd, as it were. However, instead of getting away from it all, they encounter Elias (Dave Baez), a handsome Mexican stranger who claims the house is his. For an interminable 98 minutes we watch the balance of power appear to slide between Elias, the guy who's been running the ranch for years, and William, the white Anglo-Saxon jerkoff who no habla Español and ain't too handy around the house he paid for and legally holds title to, but there's no cell phone and no electricity, so who's the boss? Somewhere in between is Jessica, who does not appear to have remembered to pack a brassiere for the move. What will she do to survive? Hmm? i....i reached a new level of stalker. i was surfing around 'the internets' and i saw a picture of HIC (haha, henry ian cusick. but hic is funny to me b/c i live near the south and i hear 'hick' a lot, a derogatory term for southerns in the united states) BACK TO MY STORY i saw a pic of ian and i licked my lips.
that my not sound like much in written word! but it was creepy and stalkerish. full of such much relish.
