Have the captured Tailies become Others?

I pointed this out to my brother, but he said I was being stupid. Looking at the pics side by side, I think I'm right.

Look at this picture of one of the survivors from the Tail Section in The Other 48 Days:

Am I the only person that thinks they are the same?

This may be the first time someone has compared two people who "look the same" and they actually do look very alike!

Good find, if indeed what you say is correct (one picture is a tailie and the other an Other). But even if what you say is correct, it's hard to say whether it's the exact same person or a very similar-looking person. And even if it's the exact same person, it's hard to say whether the tailies have become Others or whether they just used the same extra. Sometimes these little coincidences are just people analyzing a TV show more than it's supposed to be analyzed...

nice find. i've thought this for quite a while. some people assumed "the others" took the crash survivors and killed them but that doesn't really make sense. they seemed to be after certain people for a reason and if not for experiments then as recruits.

OH! Interesting!
We saw this woman crash in water with Tailies. She was a survivor and was in background in many scenes - I remember her clearly.
She look very similar! Good eye!

The tailie is much older than the 'other'. Still, they are the same race, same gender and have similar hair - that makes this the closest comparison this entire forum has managed to date.

Your brother's stupid!;) They look like they are the same person person, and I doubt vey much they just got the same actress because it would make more sense that she was captured and became an other; think of all the children they took, and Alex. These are peole that they have converted and why not this girl?

Another point is as she was with the tailies, so she would not recoginise either one of our losties, making the argument that she is infact a converted tailie stronger, if you know what I mean... but tell me if I'm being dumb. :o
