Who should "make the first move", and where?

Claire, 'cause she's the one with the most doubts. Charlie knows that he wants to have a relationship with Claire, but she's a bit hesitant. So when Claire makes the move, there's a less chance for rejection.
Maybe she can approach Charlie to make a move and then he beats her to it.....:D

When I thought about it, I realized both Charlie and Claire have made an effort to 'make the first move'. Surprisingly, Claire has made the most moves for 'physical affection' - the hug, cheek kiss, and recently, holding Charlie's hand. Charlie, on the other hand, has been more verbal, which seemed to start during Raised by Another ["I could be your friend," "I like you," "I told you I'd take care of you," etc, etc] and his tendency to open up to Claire without hesitation carried on through the following episodes. Depending on what you mean by 'first move', either of them would obviously fit the bill, whether the move is verbal, or physically affectionate.

Personally, I would love to see these roles reversed in the finale - [or whenever the official 'first move' takes place, but I am hoping it will be in the finale]. I think it would be extremely sweet - a pleasant surprise - if their official first move for a romantic relationship was something we wouldn't expect. Thus, Claire would be the one to be more verbal, and Charlie would be the one to be more physically affectionate. I would LOVE to see Claire open up about her feelings to Charlie, and for Charlie to wrap a comforting arm around her, kiss her, and all of that good stuff.


As for where the 'first move' would take place, I am once again hoping for something we wouldn't expect. Like most of you have said, it should take place somewhere private. It's been a while since Charlie and Claire have shared a moment out of the public eye - in fact, I think the last time was all the way back in Raised by Another. Look what happened with Hurley and Libby. Libbly wouldn't have been in the hatch when Mike shot Ana if you figure it. It was on the way to that beach when Libbly realized that Hurley didn't have blankets so she had to go to the hatch and ended up getting shot. Then Shannon saw Walt when Sayid took her to the beach, eventually leading to her death.

It's a cursed beach :p

Yes! I'm very happy for them. Claire took a big step doing that, and I'm glad she did. Charlie is pretty happy, too. :w00t: I'm lookin' for some screenshots of it, and hopefully I'll get some soon.

When it happened, I jumped out of my chair and shouted, "Yes! It's about bloody time!", and hopefully more will be to come in season 3. Hopefully that'll be soon - I can't wait for another four months, if it's released in September like the last two.
