This could be another Internet rumor, but I got this off another message board. Apparently Lilly is up for the role for Lois Lane in the Superman motion picture. This could be false but who better to play Lois Lane than her.

I am so incredibly anal about Lois Lane, and who plays her. I was expecting to be let down by the chick who played her on Smallville, but other than a band hair cut, she did a magnificent job, though she was not the look I'd have expected for Lois.

Evangeline as Lois.... hmm. I wouldn't be completely opposed to that.

If this is true there are still other actresses in line for this role. I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier but I can totally see her as Lois Lane.

I've also heard rumors that both Charisma Carpenter and Amy Acker of Angel might be up for the role.

I heard that Bryan Singer wants two unknowns to be in the movie. The only problem though is that there isn't a big name attached to the two roles.

And I agree Nine, if Mischa Barton is in it, I won't be seeing it.

Give Evie the part, and you'll have a flock of 'Lost' fans to go see it!

This would be soooooo cool! It would definitely make me want to see the movie much more :D And she looks like she could fit the role well :)

Natalie Portman has turned down the chance to play Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman Return's citing her involvement in the recent Star Wars movies as reason.

"A part of me is very happy that this chapter in my life is over, you know I have been working on those films since 1997 and I am so ready to move on", said Portman.

With Portman's refusal, all signs point to Lost's Evangeline Lily to take the role

I read a post on kryptonitesite that she was out of the running b/c of her committments to Lost. I think it's just a rumor, but not sure. Can anyone comfirm if she's still up for the role? I'd think she'd be perfect for Lois and would love to see her get the role. She'd be the perfect Lois. :)

If she gets the role, I hope she hits it big. It's too bad Natalie Portman had other committments. She's my other fave actress as well.

aww natalie isn't playing her? I've been rooting for her ever since they said there will be another superman movie. Hmm, but Evangeline looks a lot older than the guy playing Clark Kent, oh well, she's supposed to be more mature anyway.

eww, i hope they didn'y even CONSIDER mischa.

yeah...unfortunatley the role went to Kate Bosworth. check out Superman-V.com if the pictures there are anywhere near the planned look for Bosworth, she could pull off the Lois Lane look. although I think Evangeline Lilly would've been better, how would she have looked opposite Brandon Routh? hmmm....it's too bad we'll never find out. :(

They asked a BLONDE girl to play Lois Lane. geebus. Although, Kate Bosworth is really pretty BUT still, I wish they got someone that had a more not-so-sweet vibe to play Lois Lane.
