Snow Patrol is loff.
I haven't gotten their new cd yet. I think that will be on my very long list of new cd's to get by the end of the summer.

I'm really liking this band. Only recently have I heard their stuff, old and new; I love it! Their new album is really pretty, too. You Could Be Happy is really beautiful. :D

My favourite song of theirs is definately Chasing Cars though, of any of the albums, I like that best...

lol thats the song I will be playing in my head when someone on LOST gets together - not just Skate, I like PB&J too!

I finally got their new album... and I love it. It's amazing!
Chasing Cars is also my favorit song, along with The Finish Line. I always like the last songs on cd's for some reason.

I'm hearing their songs in random places, but now I love them!! When I heard Somewhere a Clock is Ticking on Grey's Anatomy, I fell in love with it. Then I was watching a Skate music video to Run and I fell in love with that. I LOVE their music now.

Snow Patrol are one of my fave bands, have been for about 2 years now. I have been listening to their new album almost non stop since it came out. I think I like it even better than Final Straw which is hard to beat as it's such an amazing album.

Nope. That's on my "To Do Before I Get Old" list, though. My friend got to, because her brother works with music, or something. I'm still miffed about it. But I made her send me all the Snow Patrol she had, one song at a time. :plotting::devil:

Final Straw is a masterwork.

Eyes Open is hit or miss.

I've downloaded so many Snow Patrol songs this summer. I love them!! I want to go see them in concert, but they're only playing in California, not here, and I don't live there anymore. :( But my favorite songs of theirs are Run (my favoritest of all), Make This Last Forever, Set the Fire to the Third Bar, When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up, Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking, and Chasing Cars. <3

I love Snow Patrol, been introduced to them not a very long time ago, but fell in love at once! My favourite songs are "Chasing cars" and "Run" (love it so much). Great band!

I wish I could see&hear them live sometime.

I love love LOVE Snow Patrol and want to get tickets but uni terms are unknown to me as of yet :(. But it's definitely happening!

I love "In My Arms" off the new album right now, but I love "How To Be Dead" from the first album. And a lot of other songs :giggle:

I went to their concert on Friday night. Honestly, it was totally worth the ticket price. The opening band, Augustana was fantastic (despite the public drinking), and they ended on 'Boston' where everyone sang along. And then Snow Patrol came, and everyone was so psyched. My friends and I were front row, and the bassist was right in front of us. Everyone sang along to Run, Beginning to Get to Me, and Chasing Cars. At one point, the lead singer grinned at everyone and said "lovely voices out there" and "you guys f-cking rock! I've never used that phrase before...." He was great! They were all spot on. My friends and I made little heart shapes with out hands, and the bassist saw, and through a guitar pick our way (which I caught. It is now on my wall until I decide what to do with it)

Honestly, one of the best nights of my life.

i don't really care for em much at all but i saw snow patrol on friday night as i have an in on the tickets... wasn't bad. i think i'd like it more if i was a fan. i dig martha wainwright though.

I thought Martha was pretty bad. No one really knew her songs, and I wasn't really feeling her. My friend went with us, and she wasn't a huge Snow Patroller. But after the concert, it totally changed her mind.

i'm not sure how good she is live versus studio but i like her anyways. i'm guessing most of the crowd was there for snow patrol so naturally not many would care as much about her stuff as patrol's.

I always get the images of Izzie, Denny and Alex, when i hear the song. :) I love most of their songs, and they really are coming out as my favourites, these days. I honestly don't know what it is, but I can't stop listening to their latest album. :)

Gotta say I agree to some extent.
Some songs are just plain boring.

Whereas others are absolutely brilliant.
I think my favourite is the duet with Martha Wainwright.

ZOMGDIES. Snow Patrol's actually coming to Denver next month and I'm going! I'M SO EXCITED. I get to see all my favorite bands in the same year (Coldplay last January, Evanescence last month, 30 Seconds to Mars Wednesday, Dixie Chicks 11/27, and Snow Patrol 12/5). :thud:

i love snow patrol. final straw is (in my opinion) one of the greatest albums ever. i like eyes open too, but i'm pickier with most of the songs on that album.

I got back from the Snow Patrol concert about two hours ago. It was a good concert, but nothing really spectacular. The reason I say that is that they mostly played songs from Eyes Open, while I love most of the songs off of Final Straw. Plus they didn't play Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking or Make This Go On Forever. BUT...RUN WAS SO FRIGGIN' AWESOME. I adore that song so much. And I made a friend while at the concert!

and went to see them in the summer there... and it was spectacular...
but it was like the biggest gig they've ever played in their home town ...
so i thought it was going to be good, but it was the best gig ive ever been to

Best concert I've ever been to, and I saw Coldplay at the Odyssey last year too. Snow Patrol topped them by miles.

The crowd weren't as energetic as I thought they'd be though - a couple in front of me didn't even stand when Run was played!

I know, they looked quite bored as well, and we had alright seats - actually to the side of the stage, so we could see everything that was going on behind as well :giggle:

The support acts were okay too, I missed most of Duke Special's set though.

duke special is legendary... i boought my sister his cd for christmas... he's very westcress-ish... he played at vital too... and thats where i saw snow patrol.

I tried to get to Vital but i couldn't make it down. I'm gonna go this year if the bands are any good, doubt Snow Patrol will play this year though.

And yeah, Duke Special's great :D I was annoyed i missed his set, but he must've started about 7!

I love "Somewhere A Clock is Ticking", "Run", and "Chocolate" Their older CD has a different tone and texture to their songs as their new CD does, I just hope these guys don't sell out as they get more popular, because I really love their music :nod:

I'm totally not picky when it comes to Snow Patrol. I was watching one of their concerts on TV on New Years eve, and they are just awesome. They're so fan-oriented, and totally know how to work a crowd.

And, of course, they always save the fan favorites for last.

I love Run, Same, Hands Open, Chocolate, Make This Go On Forever, Set Fire to the Third Bar, and How to Be Dead.

But like I said, I'm not picky. I'll listen to anything

I was lucky enough to see them do the duet live. It was fantastic. I actually think it made me cry. Just the way their voices combined, and the moment, and the atmosphere....it was really beautiful

Signal Fire from Spider Man 3 is AWESOME! all the other songs as well..but for the moment Signal Fire is my favourite. Got all the CD's except for 'Song for polarbears' but it'll be mine sooon!:D

It's such a shame that they don't have a concert in Sweden :/:shifty:

I saw them last night - massive homecoming gig in a park about an hour from me, in the town where a couple of the guys grew up (they're NI's biggest export in the music industry atm :D )

It was absolutely amazing - they started with The undertones' Teenage Kicks and just got better from there, finishing with Run, which the whole crowd sang as per usual when they play NI :p and finishing their encore with You're All That I Have and a load of fireworks. Best gig I've ever been to :w00t:
