Art ends... 2April I believe, and then I figure we can give it a week or so for voting? Sound good? So we could start a fic contest around the 10thish of April.

I would actually prefer a ficlet challenge, say write a small peice about Coake in about 350 words, that way judging might be easier, because reading full fics would take a while, however a small little ficlet would be easier to write and read.

Yeah, I was just considering that. We could always split it, have a category for long and a category for short and just make sure the long fics know that not everyone's likely to read/vote there. I haven't seen many, if any, really long Coake fics though, mostly decent length one parters.

I'm curious about this next episode; we've had a few hints at Coake, him still sleeping there in "Maternity Leave" since the beautifully blatant stuff in "Fire and Water" but since the next episode is a Locke episode, I'm hoping for the best.

Also, the whole "unexpected ally" the promo says makes me hope that it's Claire, since we didn't see Claire at all in the last episode :(

IF they even "give" him Claire to begin with, that is! I didn't like how he was more concerned about her getting into the Hatch in "Maternity Leave" than about Aaron possibly being sick either. I just like it best when he acts all protective of HER, not of the Hatch, ya know?

But see, really, there was a lot of Coake in the past few episodes. The writers just want us to read between the lines. Locke doesn't care about Jack getting the better of him. All that smashing dishes and stuff is really just sexual frustration. And, come on, would most guys really care about keeping their facial hair closely shaven when they're on an island in the middle of nowhere? Jack, Sawyer, Michael, Hurley, Eko, etc., etc., surely don't. But Locke is a sensitive man. When he and Claire make out (and they WILL make out), he doesn't want the stubble to scratch her face. :nod:

Does anyone know where there's a list of some sort of the episodes that have had Claire/Locke moments and about where in the episode they occur?

I'm not sure if there is a list, and if there is, I'm not sure where it is, but I can give you a quick rundown.

1x10 Raised By Another: The opening sequence features Claire's dream and Locke is in it telling her that she must raise her baby herself.

1x14 Special: Locke and Boone find Claire out in the woods at the very end of the episode.

1x15 Homecoming: At the very beginning, Locke carries Claire into camp. And about three quarters of the way in, there is the scene where they bait Ethan with Claire and Locke is part of it; at one point going over to comfort her

1x18 Numbers: 1st scene is about four and a half minutes in where Locke asks her for her help. 2nd scene is about 25 minutes in and that is when they talk about what he's making. 3rd scene is about five minutes from the end, and they talk about the cradle and Claire giving the baby up for adoption

2x06 Abandoned: After the second ad break (twelve or so minutes in), there is a Claire/Locke scene where he teaches her swaddling. During the next segment after the next ad break (about twenty minutes in) Claire shows up with Aaron in her arms

2x11 The Hunting Party: At the very end, Locke shows up and starts talking to Claire after the party that went out after Michael arrives back in camp

2x12 Fire and Water: At the very beginning after Charlie's dream/hallucination, Locke and Claire are on the beach together. About twenty minutes in, Claire asks Locke if she and Aaron could move to the Hatch. Around 35 minutes in, Charlie kidnaps Aaron and Locke gets him back for Claire

2x13 The Long Con: Blink and you miss it about ten minutes in where Sawyer makes a comment about Locke and Claire

2x15 Maternity Leave: At the very beginning of the episode when Claire wakes Locke who goes and gets Jack for her

The black screen is the overlay colour used by the media player. You can turn off the overlay colour in WMP . . . TOOLS > OPTIONS > PERFORMANCE > ADVANCED - Uncheck 'Use Overlays.' Now you can capture with printscreen.

Well, for clips from the first 22 episodes, I used to use TVShows.nu (http://www.tvshows.nu/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=415), you can download the full episodes in small quality parts. Obviously, the low quality is a hassle, but they get the job done (most of the time, lol). :)

I mean, these writers seem like they don't know what they wrote two episodes ago sometimes it seems. Since Fire + Water, Locke aggreed to sleep near Claire on the beach, right? So it seems like she react to Locke no longer being there, or him with his leg hurt.

WTF!!! Where the heck is my obligatory Claire/Locke mooshiness! You haven't written any C/L scenes in four episodes now, and the last C/L scene was about thirty seconds long! Your "canon" does not resemble normal-writers canon (although I learnt this on Alias too). You sincerly suck. And why is Ana-Lucia coming onto John? Just because Terry O'Quinn is an amazing, gorgeous beast, does not mean you have to pair him up with every female on the island! (Just Claire FYI). If we don't get any love C/L scenes soon (or even more then twenty seconds of Claire-screentime!), I will be sending lots of bad omens and shiny razors your way.

I swear. I watched the whole ep on the edge of my seat every time somebody walked in on Locke, with my fingers crossed that it would be Claire! And that scene on the beach when I saw somebody walking up behind him. I was leaning, leaning, LEANING forward with anticipation that it would be Claire and when I saw it was Rose, I almost fell completely out of my chair! Not that I don't like Rose. I was just all "Where's the Coake? WHERE'S THE COAKE???" But I didn't want to scream that at the top of my lungs and make the neighbors think I'd just run out of soft drinks or something...
