I haven't seen anything about Sayid and Danielle... I don't know, it just kinda seemed like a natural thing to me after [1x09 Solitary] when she captured him and all- I mean, hey, she did torture him at first, but after that they seemed to share a special bond! I thought it was really cute :lotsalove

Wow I can't believe this thread was resurrected from the dead LOL! That's crazy! And awesome too. :D I was so suprised when there was no one else that seemed to see Sayid & Danielle's obvious bond in Solitary. He seemed to really connect with her; they connected on the level that they both know what it is like to be isolated, whether literally, or a self-imposed or cultural isolation, in Sayid's case. He shared his story about Nadia and his past for the first time on the island. Do the other losties even know about Nadia at all? Plus, I am almost certain she had a thing for him. I mean, 16 years without a man, (or a woman), and here comes SAYID of all men! :rolleyes: When he fixed the music box for her... that was a really sweet moment. You could tell they were both touched. I found it strange that there hasn't been much follow up on the two of them together, though. They still have that bond, though, but Sayid obviously went to Shannon. Now that she's gone, who knows... I agree that there's definitely going to be someone. I would love to see it be Ana, but Danielle would be an interesting backup. I guess we'll see.

As far as a 'ship name... Dayid is good... I mean, what else would it be? Sanielle? LOL that is kind of cool sounding. Hmmm. :rolleyes:

Wow - there is a thread for Sayid and Danielle! This is the one ship I really like in Lost and I keep hoping that it would happen! :) In Solitary I definitely thought too that there was a connection between them (and that it was something more than Sayid just trying to make himself a "human" in Danielle's eyes, something more than just a random person who she happens to torture (the same thing that Nadia did with Sayid, I think)). They certainly have lots of (working) chemistry between them. ^^

i dunno, i shipped them since she came on to him in her love dungeon. i even hesitated on shayid for sayelle. she may be -um erm- in a bad state but i liked how she treated sayid differently from the rest she 'knew' him.

I couldn't not—this is one of exactly two pairings (the other is Sayid/Nadia) I ever really felt, and felt from the first moment of the characters' interaction, for Sayid, whom I consider nigh-unshippable; while I'm ranting, I'm kind of sad I never really felt Sayid/Shannon. as his grief after she died would have been so much more affecting that way.

Sayid and Danielle have much in common: they both suffers from losing someone whom they loved, they are both knows life, had a great experience in relations.. But are they ready to forget about all those whom they loved and enter into a new relations? I mean, heart is not a toy, Sayid practically left Nadia (we don't know exactly, but he didn't see hher for a long time), at the island he lost Shannon, and he was shocked, frustrated, with that loss, he really suffers... Can he simply forget about it?
I heard some conversations about Sayid and Alex. Sayid and Naomi... They shocked me... In my opinion neither Alex no Naoimi doesn't match Sayid, for different reasons...
But he has a right to be happy! So why he can't be happy with Danielle? In my opinion she is a good applicant.

The connection between the two was obvious ever since Solitary. The way they looked at eachother, you could tell she felt something for him, even if she didn't know who he was. Sayid was still the first person she had seen in so long. A pairing that will hopefully be made more obvious in the future.
