He is doing his own singing, for Lord of the Rings he even did a little on the soundtrack and pretty sure in the movie he help Pippy do his little part.

He was okay. It was perfect for a songwriter. He wasn't the singer in the band, Liam was. Not all songwriters are great singers. Cole Porter couldn't carry a tune.

When they are in the crib, doing the commercial, he's the one who's singing--Liam's in the back trying to follow the kick line, and doing a very wasted rendition! I love the comedy of this show as much as the mystery! Not that that was funny for Charlie, but you have to admit--they were in diapers for crying out loud!

Back when I was a LotR/Dom junkie (I still love it/him but not as much as before), I downloaded some stuff of Dom singing. He's a better singer than Charlie is, but I think when he was playing the piano was more Dom-ish. When he's singing on the island and stuff it's pretty bad. I think he just makes his voice worse because Charlie's not really supposed to be a good singer.

I think his singing was in character. He's the songwriter and the musical talent of the group, but supposedly he needed his brother for the band because he's not a singer or charismatic enough to be the front man. Not all musicians/writers are great singers. Makes sense. If he sounded great you might wonder, what does he need Liam for?

Hahaha! I couldn't have said it better myself. But then again, look at what sells in the real world today. I'm not surprised that some would think he has a good voice. These days, a lot of acting talent take their shot at musical careers or showing their musical skills when they really should keep their instruments confined to the home and their singing even more private.

The only actor I would be interested in even remotely considering as a musical artist right now is Jamie Foxx. The reason I say this is because he is a trained classical pianist who went to NYC as a musician first and foremost, which helped him land gigs on comedy shows and such.

Honestly, the cast of Lost should really concentrate on their superb acting skills, because I'm sure they aren't even close to the musical talent I see on a day-to-day basis as a college level music professor. I know this might sound harsh, but it's true. Dom would be skewered by Simon, and Paula would probably take him back to her hotel room.

his hook on gold digger is simply an impersonation of the late Ray Charles.. And his attempt at an album trying to use his own style was horrible..

People like Alicia Keys and John Legend (who both sing and play piano) are much more talented than him..

this is an old thread but whatever I'm going to post anyways. Lol. Any who I am in belief that it was his own voice. As said, he did do some in LOTR. (Aside the fact when Billy did his own stuff). However you match this voice and Season 3 eppy of "Flashes Before Your Eyes" you can tell its him :)

Well in my opinion Jamie Foxx is better at acting. But we all think something different
