You're right, Belle -- it is disgusting -- but most one-sided relationships are. I mean, you and I, we ship ConMama, right? And how unlikely does that look right now? --About as unlikely that Ethan and Claire would have ever been together. But I still love the idea of ConMama and I always will.

And this ship, by the way, states right in the opening post that it's a HUMOROUS ship, much like Arzna. It's all speculation and making fun of FICTIONAL characters. I adore the character of Claire, and God only knows what her *character* went through while with Ethan -- but that's just the point. We have no idea if she was brainwashed into loving him and spying for the Others, do we? All we know is she was kidnapped and lost her memory -- she says.

Well, that's the route my fic takes, anyway. He's just a disturbed man who wants to be loved, and thinks that everything he wants is in Claire. I've personally dealt with a stalker, a violent one, and if I can get over it enough to post a humorous thread about a *fictional* stalking, I don't think anyone can tell me "you shouldn't do that". But that's just my opinion.

There's a core group of us who've been laughing about this for the last couple of days. That's why this thread is here -- we ship EClaire because it's *funny* to us. I'm not begging people to join; but you've got to admit, the fact that there's a 'ship thread about a DEAD stalker and the girl he kidnapped (FICTIONALLY) among all the ships that take themselves so seriously -- you've got to find humor there somewhere.

You're right. We have no idea what his intentions were towards Claire -- only that he made a horrible decision to kidnap her. Who knows, maybe he was some sort of psychic and could see that Charlie was going to put her through awful pain, and decided that killing him was for the best. The point is, WE DON'T KNOW -- because Charlie killed him before he could explain it. For all we know, Ethan was an OB/GYN and was giving her a checkup during that week. It's all speculation, folks!

You're right, Belle -- it is disgusting -- but most one-sided relationships are. I mean, you and I, we ship ConMama, right? And how unlikely does that look right now? --About as unlikely that Ethan and Claire would have ever been together. But I still love the idea of ConMama and I always will.

And this ship, by the way, states right in the opening post that it's a HUMOROUS ship, much like Arzna. It's all speculation and making fun of FICTIONAL characters. I adore the character of Claire, and God only knows what her *character* went through while with Ethan -- but that's just the point. We have no idea if she was brainwashed into loving him and spying for the Others, do we? All we know is she was kidnapped and lost her memory -- she says.

I guess I overreacted, too -- I see a lot of ships dissing each other on here, and it makes me mad. I mean, it's a show we all love, why can't we all get along (cue violins). That's part of the reason we decided to 'ship EClaire -- it's like Arzna, totally doesn't take itself seriously.

Mainly, the top four of us have a running joke about Ethan; two of us 'ship ConMama, so we wanted to do something with Claire. Well, they *obviously* came into contact, so we decided they'd make a ... well, a weird and somewhat humorous ship.

FYI, everyone else: I've written a sequel to my Ethan hearts Claire fic that I'll post in the morning (my time). He's even creepier than I suspected. And I can't get him out of my head! I might be writing Ethan fics for the next few days, but I won't torture anyone else with his creepiness anymore. he he he I think I'm making no sense... must... get... sleep.

scarlett 106, nothing we say in here is meant to offend anyone -- even if we say it about another ship. :) EClaire is just for fun, and most of us actually belong to different (even more unlikely!) ships. I understand why they're closing the shoone forum, but I'm glad you guys are still going to have a place to talk about it!
