I love Buffy. That's why I use it in my username. LOL I miss it not being on. It was one of the best tv shows, besides Lost.

Great show, I was there in the beginning until the last episode. Some seasons weren't so good (Buffy the sex robot) but certain episodes made up for it. In the end Angel turned out to be my favorite show than Buffy but it still good.

I love Buffy! It used to be my favorite show cause now it's Lost. Like Godhood said some seasons weren't the greatest and I did end up liking Angel a little more as the seasons progressed. The first couple seasons were the best.
But I'm still a die hard Buffy fan! :D
And I had the pleasure of meeting Joss Weadon over the summer and I have to say he's an amazing man.

I got into Buffy late (like...season six) and have since become obsessed. Especially with Spike. And Spuffy ;) I miss that show...
I got into Angel late too, and liked it. I wish *that* was still on as well. I just read something over at Aint It Cool News about the possibility of tv-movies, though. That could be interesting.

Yeah... I heard some rumors that they were gonna make a Spike movie... God I hope so...
Love him!

[Buffy rant mode on]
Buffy the vampire slayer has to be one of the most finest shows ever created for televison. It dealt with normal situations that every growing teenager has but gave it a twist which made it far more interesting than Dawson's Creek ever was. Many I know was put off by the name, and yes it is silly which stopped some people from trying to watch it.
What they didn't realise that underneath the comical name is a vastly intelligent series. They know what the audience wants better than they do themselves and the scripts, oh the scripts...I've written many scripts but if I could get just a little bit near to what they had I would be a very happy bunny.
That aside there's a strange sort of backlash going against it now it's over from, funnily enough, by people who never were fans and old fans who have forgotten what it was like. Through all the vampires and whatnot every problems came through. growing up, friendship, love and the most heartbreaking of all death. Episode 'The Body' has to be the most realistic depiction of losing a loved one and having to deal with the grief of the situation. Episodes like 'restless','hush' and'once more with feeling' work when really they shouldn't. It was sad when Buffy ended and later on with Angel and Firefly both being tragically cut short before they're time.
And yes I loathe the WB and Fox for doing that, but in all honesty..it's their loss.
Now with the absence of all three of Joss's shows I like to keep optimistic. Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened.
We have to look at the current climate of televison today, all these reality shows, is it what we want? Or are they giving what you think you want. There's a big difference. Televison is a wonderful invention, but it's being abused by companies who want lots of money. We may never see a buffyverse or Joss Whedon for that matter, on televison again. Now thats OUR loss.
[Buffy rant mode off. though started to get into an all general rant.lol] ;)

I absolutely ADORED Buffy!! I have every episode on tape, including the Christmas day marathon on Space, all labelled and put in pretty little boxes. Although, I didn't like it as much in seasons six and seven, probably because I HATED Kennedy, ESPECIALLY with Willow, Tara and Willow should have been forever!
You lauged in 'Once More With Feeling' and bought the soundtrack to which you listened religiously (or is that just me?), cried at Joyce and Buffy's deaths in 'The Body' and 'The Gift', and screamed when Spike died in 'Chosen' even though you knew he'd be coming back on 'Angel'.
Also, there were so many ships, both real and imagined. I, myself, ship, among others: Buffy/Giles, Angel/Spike, Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya, Angel/Buffy, Willow/Oz, and Spike/Buffy. It all depends on the season and/or episode.
I haven't heard about the Spike movie but I did hear talk of a 'Ripper' movie. I do hope that if they do make either they don't screw them up!
Buffy was, in my personal opinion, one of the best shows on TV in the years 1997 to 2003.

Yay! Other people here than me like Buffy (I'm so happy!)... Got every single episode on DVD, can't get enough of it... Watch them over and over again.. So what's everyones fav. episode and character? Just curious...:p

I don't think I could pick just one, I loved too many of them, it would be a long list. lol (and yes I do own the "The Once More With Feeling" soundtrack. :D)
My favorite character would be Faith (what can I say I like the bad ones. :D) Spike is another just cause he's yummy! I liked Anya too. So I guess I can't pick one fav. character either, sorry lol.
But the episode that hit me the most was "The Body" because most shows don't deal with death that often and I thought they did an amazing job on everyone's reaction and emotions to Buffy's mom's death, espically with Anya (someone who doesn't understand the pain of death) It was an amazing and well written episode.
Yes, It's_about_bunnies there were so many people to ship. Me I liked Faith/Angel, Faith/Spike, Tara/Willow, Oz/Willow, Xander/Anya, Anya/Giles, Buffy/Angel, Buffy/Spike. It changed with every season. lol
Tara/Willow forever! I hated Kennedy too, I was upset when they killed Tara. And I may be biased because I met Amber Benson (Tara) and she's a very down-to-earth person.

Spike was my favorite character...his snarkyness made me laugh, he had the best dialouge! *wistful sigh* He's followed closely by Anya and Andrew (*giggle*)
I tended to like the funnier ones the most, and my favorite funny episode is/was "Pangs." I don't really know why, it just makes me laugh hysterically. Plus it has a little bit to do with archaeology ;) heh On the more serious side of things, I agree that "The Body" was a great dramatic episode--makes me cry. I'll also be really cliche and say I liked "Hush" too... ;) I know there are loads of others...

I thought Pangs was real funny too, and I have to add "Something blue"...LoL!
"The Body" was amazing, so was "Once more with feeling"...
The gift was great, arrgh! There is just to many of them, almost every episode was great! :p

i just started watching it this year because it's the only thing on at 6:00 in the morning. So I watch it every morning for 15 minutes while i eat breakfast, and sometimes when i go home early i can watch it again in the afternoon.
Great show though! My favorite character is Anya. It was so sad when she died and nobody really talked about her death in the episode, just a couple lines.
someday i'll buy the dvd's when they're really cheap.

I got into Buffy late too. My friend/roommate used to watch it and I'd have to tape it for her sometimes...I think the first episode I saw ALL the way through was "No Place Like Home." But then I didn't really see another one until the musical, and *thats* when I got into it. Which is kind of too bad, cause season 6 wasn't the best.

My favorite character would be Faith
I loved Faith, too. Mainly because she was such a dynamic character who was always fun to watch and actually broke my heart. Plus, she's HOT!
Anyway, I love Buffy. It is and will always be my favorite show. Angel did become a better show, and it almost bested Buffy, if it weren't for the early seasons. I love season two, three, and five. And, of course, all of those episodes that stick out in one's mind: "Becoming," "Hush," "Restless," "The Gift," "Once More, With Feeling," "Chosen," etc.
It was one of the most innovative and entertaining shows to ever grace our television screens, and those screens have not been the same in the year since the Buffyverse closed with Angel's finale.
I recently bought the fifth season of Angel and went home and sat it next to season seven of Buffy and realized I had every episode of my favorite shows right in front of me. That, right there, is a sad moment.
Here's hoping for television or even theatrical movies!

No, it's not just you, lol. That is like, the only CD I listen too. My favorite songs are " Under your spell", " I'll never tell", " Rest in Peace", " Standing", and " Walk through the fire".
What I don't understand is, how could the WB be stupid enough to cancel Angel, yet give us shows like " High School Reunion" and " Big Man on Campus"?

I watched 'Once More With Feeling' every day as soon as I got home (I had it on tape) for about a month until I finally got the soundtrack ordered, and then it was almost another month until it finally came in! It was all I would listen to for the longest time!
My favorites are "Standing", "Under You Spell/Standing-Reprise", "Walk Through the Fire", and "Where do we go From Here?". Amber Benson's (Tara) voice is gorgeous and Anthony Head's (Giles) gives me chills and has the power to bring me to my knees. I bought his CD too ("Music for Elevators"), which is awesome by the way. This might also have to do with the fact that Giles was ranks VERY high on the list of my favorite characters, and that I think he's hot, but it's mostly his voice.
I was absolutely inconsolable when I heard that Buffy was to be cancelled. Networks can be so positively idiotic!

I didn't watch either show for its last couple of seasons, but I've been rewatching those seasons on DVD and am incredibly saddened that it's all over. I have to say it's probably my experience with the fandom that did me in. I never was as critical of the show as the "fans": and since Joss was so in tune with them and knew exactly what they were complaining about I felt the show wasn't for me. Because I didn't hate it as much as they did.
I am afraid the same kind of phenemenon will happen with Lost and cancel the show: there are, for instance, a bunch of people on TWOP who hate the show and keep harping on the fact that they want it to be canceled soon because not all of their questions have been answered right away.
I loved "Once More With Feeling", "Hush", "The Body", "Normal Again", "The Gift", "Fool For Love", "Wild At Heart", "New Moon Rising", and the season three two-parter where Faith and the Mayor are dispatched the best, though.

Eek, how about amazon.com or even ebay?
I don't think a few people who hate the show will get the show cancelled, you have to think about how many people are watching it and how many people really like the show.
I think what hurt season 6 out a lot was the darkness, many people weren't used to seeing that on the show, although I still enjoyed season 6, just not as much as a few other seasons. Also, Andrew and the trio being supervillians, that was  although I like how season 6 ended up playing out in the end.

Yes, but there's already been one article written about how the "loyal fans" are disenchanted with the show. I think the entertainment media goes to Television Without Pity now to get background info on fan reaction where they used to go to Usenet, which isn't so popular anymore. (I know they used to go to Usenet because back when I was a big ER fan, something I posted actually made an E!Online article and the actors would quote stuff that was being talked about on talk shows). I would hate for people to think
it's representative of total fan reaction.

I love Buffy. It's the best show made by mankind ever. You really learn with the characters and everything. Although the show went through a serious downhill after season 4 I still think it's the best thing ever. SMG and c:o did a wonderful job with it.
I hate Spuffy, I've tried liking it but I cant..... It's just... gross and well... stupid. It brings out the worst in both Spike and Buffy so I cant... B/A on the other hand... *dreams*
My favourite Xander pairing is hard since I love Cordelia and Anya equally. Favourite Willow is probably Willow/Tara. My hate season is season 6 and well... :)

I just finished watching Buffy on season 6 on DVD and I didn't really like it because it became more like your typical angsty drama than a smart supernatural series. I liked season 7 a lot better, though.
I actually didn't like season 4 much at all. I just think the whole evil government plot didn't really work well with the show. I think both that and season 6 dipped into reality a bit too much for me.
And maybe this is unpopular but I really liked season 4 of Angel. It didn't make a lot of sense but when you sit down and watch it from beginning to end it's not really that bothersome. I think Angel had the most interesting villains of pretty much any other show I've ever watched.

I think perhaps some people were just so weirded out by the whole Connor/Cordelia thing that it colored their perception of their entire season. Or maybe not. When you watch it straight through, it's one plot point that leads to the next.
The one thing that bothers me about that season is that (according to the DVD commentaries) it takes place within three weeks yet it seems to match up pretty well with the Buffy finale. And how come the sun went out in L.A. but not in Sunnydale? I'm not that bothered by it, though.

About the sun Faith did say "I heard you had problems with the sun over there" and that meant that it only lit out in the area of LA, and I think the newscaster said so at one point when Fred was watching tv. :) (I'm not mega obsessed with the season it was just recently I watched all those episodes ;))

They didn't mention the sun on *Buffy*, though. I figure if Faith knew about it, then Buffy must have. I guess we can rationalize that by saying that everyone was so quick to get out of Sunnydale at that point that they didn't that the sun went out in LA or that Jasmine was well on her way to acheiving world domination.

No, Faith and Buffy didn't really talk much about the past, or what was going on at that point in time. There was so much going on in Sunnydale that it wasn't really important for her to mention it.

Im a huge Joss Wheadon fan. As far as I'm concerned hes brilliant. I have to say Firefly was my favorite show. But I watch Buffy just about every day on F/X even though I have the seasons on DVD. I liked Angel...but alas...dont kill me. Hate David Boreanez. He couldn't act his way out of a paper sack. lol. I mean if you cant do the accent..then just be american. lol. Jayne is my fav on Firefly. And I cant wait for the movie. And I'm in total love with Spike. He's the most human character on Buffy. (oh, that thing Joss loves to do.) Anya's my 2nd fav. I had fish named Buffy and Faith. (one was yellow, buffy. And one was purple, Faith.) And I had a pacostomus (sucker fish) Named Spike. Faith killed Buffy. So I traded her in. lol. Now just Spike is still around. Bottom feeding as usual. lol. Anyways, until Spike showed up on Angel, Fred and Wes were my favorite characters. I almost think my heart broke more when Wes died than when Spike did. (Probably because we knew he was living to go to Angel) I have heard rumors of a Spike movie. Because Captain Forehead (David) doesnt want to do Angel anymore. (the prig). Has anyone else wondered why they brought Spike to Angel. My thoughts were cuz Angel just wasnt cool enough. (Sorry, did I mention I hated David. lol)

For you who have seen both Buffy and Angel all seasons: What do you think about the transformation of Wesley?
I really liked it. When he was on Buffy, I couldn't stand him! He was so arrogant and...girly. He was pretty funny on the first couple seasons of Angel when he was still a whimp but tried to be a tough guy. I felt so sad for him after he stole Connor. He did it cause he thought Angel was gonna kill his son, but it turned out to be a lie. And they all shunned him anyway. I think that's what really did him in as the serious guy he was in the fifth season. I liked him a lot in season five. I felt soo sorry for him when Fred died! :(
I have the "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack on my comp, and I have all the songs memorized. I can sing them all perfectly. It's pathetic, I know. I came into Buffy at the beginning of season six, but I've caught up watching reruns on FX at 1 & 2. I think I've seen every eppy. I came into Angel in mid season 4. But again, reruns on TNT at 5. I think season 4 was one of the darkest seasons. I didn't really like it, but my favorite season was five. I loved them in Wolfram & Hart. Did you hear how Ilyria pronounced it? "Wolf Ram & Hart." (A hart is a deer, I think.) I thought that was pretty cool. Now that I've proven I'm the dorkiest person in the world, I'll just shut up...

What true Buffy fan doesn't have the "Once More With Feeling" Soundtrack. {I've got a theory it could be bunnies} now I'll take a bow as the dorkiest Buffy fan.
I met Joss Whedon at a comic convention (he's a funny guy) and someone asked about any Buffy movie's and he said none were in the works but this was last year and he was also much more interested in pimping the Firefly movie (I never watched Firefly) but he showed the work in progress trailer and it looks pretty cool.

In Buffy, I think one of my favorite episodes was "Sacrifice." I cried so hard when Buffy died! Spike's like "When you say you love ALL of us...?" Xander was my favorite character. I nearly died when Caleb poked out his eye.
In Angel, I really don't have a favorite episode. In the first few seasons, Fred was my favorite. Then came Spike. I love how he tortured Angel. When he came back:
Wesley:Spike?
Angel:Spike.
Harmony:Blondie Bear?!
Heh. I've listened to the "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack soooo many times! I love "Under Your Spell." It's such a pretty song, and Tara has such a good voice! My mom makes me switch the channel when it's on TV, though, cause she doesn't like that they're gay. Me, I'm okay with it. I still love the song!

My mom didn't like it either, and I was like how can you not be a Tara/Willow shipper. :D
Yeah, Amber Benson has a beautiful voice, I like she the one she sings with Giles too. She's also a very talanted writer. Too bad they never let her write for the show, I liked her story in The Tales of Slayer series.

Yes, 'Under Your Spell/Standing - Reprise' was such a gorgeous song (Wish I could stay...). Amber Benson and Anthony Head's voices blended together perfectly. {I am the ultimate 'Once More With Feeling' geek}
Willow and Tara were THE perfect couple. I loved them so much. :cloud9: I'm glad Warren died for killing Tara, I believe he deserved it completely, and I'm not at all repulsed by the way Willow killed him. The only thing I'm sorry for is that Willow went "evil". Also, on a side(rant) note, Kennedy was not right for Willow and was a spoiled brat in my opinion. There is no comparison between her and our beloved Tara!

Once more with feeling, was a great episode! I love it:lotsalove The music was just amazing - Rest in peace, Under you spell, Wish I could stay... and Sweet's song-
Didn't like Kennedy either (very annoying sometimes), Tara was so much better... She's one of my favortie characters:D

Yeah! I did like Oz for Willow in the first few seasons, but then came Tara. She was so sweet and pretty and perfect for Willow. I didn't like Kenedy at all! She acted like such a ... brat. Ahem.

Yes, Oz was so wonderful. But then came Veruca, that bitca :censored: . She tore everything apart! Willow/Oz was such a sweet couple but most of the time I'm glad that they broke up. How else would our wonderful witches hook up? And, as we all know, Tara was the sweetest character that ever lived on the Buffyverse. :hug2:

eh... maybe as a fanatical woz shipper i am biased, but i never liked willow/tara. i mean, she was sweet at first, but it made me so mad that in the midst of willow's magical addiction, tara would just up and leave her when willow needed her most instead of helping her through it.
but yes, i looooove woz. they were sooo adorable, and i cried when oz left. *sniffle* when charlie brought claire the "peanut butter" it reminded me so much of when oz gave willow the pez witch... both are outstandingly adorable moments.

When I was at the comic convention, Joss actully said they wrote an episode for Tara to come back in the last season, but Amber Benson couldn't make it. The way he was talking about it sounded really sweet.
I didn't like Kennedy either, (But I'm biased because I met Amber Benson and she's such a sweetheart) but also Kennedy just didn't connect with Willow as much as Tara. I was an Woz shipper too but then he left. And then Tara came and they were just good together. :D

Buffy is absolutely my show. I adore it. It's changing now because's of Lost, but that doesn't make it a less show. I have all seasons on DVD, and I'm working on my Angel collection. I'm a HUGE Bangel Shipper, but I dind't hate Spuffy. I just think that Bangel is so true, and so cute, and so painfull...........god I love those two. I cries my guts out watching I Will Remember You, isn't that just the sadest epi ever(altough it's Angel)
I guess my all time favourite epi, is Becoming Part 2, and my all time fav season is 2. But I also adore those theme-epi's like Hush, OMWF and Restless. It's an absolteley fabulous show!!!

We have every season on DVD except season seven (the final).
I used to be a Bangel shipper, but now I'm leaning towards Spuffy. I've come to like Spike because he really is more sensitive than he lets on.

Buffy and Angel always blew me away...it was so instant. She brought him from a completely wasted existance just from the very sight of her when he first saw her at Hemery. And I Will Remember You? OMG--could that ep have been any more tragic? I swear, I was crying like a baby at the end!! That was by far the happiest I ever saw Buffy!

Buffy is my favorite show (and Angel, especially the last season). I've talked to people about Lost 'almost filling the Buffy-sized hole in my life.' I think it will always be #1 to me. I used to record every show until around season 5 or 6, but I can by DVDs now so I'm slowly building my collection. Spike is my favorite character, and I had quite a crush on Buffy for the first four seasons.
*sigh* I really hope they do make a movie!

That was one of the great things about Lost coming around. There was a huge gap in TV after Angel. Nothing was a show that was about the characters and the human aspect while still having supernatural elements. Now we have Lost and I couldn't be more impressed. I never thought I'd say this, but it's a better show then Buffy or Angel!
I thought that Buffy didn't fall off until it went to UPN. The storylines were still good, but it seemed so much more like a soap opera with the way the characters acted. And all the teasers were AWFUL!

07-13-2005, 06:13 PM
Love love love Buffy! seen every episode a ridiculous amount of times (reruns on Space channel) but your right cemetry, the teasers were awful and I was getting sick of the way some of the characters were acting (especially Xander - what happened to the funny? now he's just the guy who 'see's things' and then gets his eye thumbed out)
Loved Andrew though, 'specially the episode he did with his camera, don't remember the name, but I love his board with the drawing and diagrams and whatnot! :)

I own every season of the series. I've watched each episode countless times but I realized the 4th season wasn't that great and I hate Riley. I think he kind of just ruined the chemistry. I was just waiting for buffy and Riley to brake up. Though, I'm an avid Spuffy fan. I think the sixth season was one of the worst because of the fact Buffy was such a horrible person during that season. So self centered and too focused on her pain. Plus she hurt spike and pushed him over the edge.

07-13-2005, 06:29 PM
completely agree, I pretty much didn't like any dawn-centric episodes (GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT! kinda lost its charm) and yeah Buffy came back from the dead and she was in heaven but blah blah blah just kill some vampires and stop having sex with Spike every ten seconds!
and yeah she did push him over the edge in the sense that he got drunk and made it with Anya on the Magic Box table and then lets not forget that episode in the bathroom (poor Xanders face in both of those eps). Also was kind of sick of Willows magic addiction and Spike going insane from the First influence (liked that song that triggered him though).
Man thats a lot of complaining I just did there - still love the show though :D

Yeah but Spike was a wonderful character. So blunt. I admit I love Bangle but only in the beginning. For the last episode when bufyf and ANgel kissed..there was nothing there. The chemistry was gone. It could ahv ebeen the fact David and Sarah dated. We all seen the photos. Anyway, Seventh Season SPike is my fave because he was a sweetie but also cocky and sarcastic. I love it.

Yeah the early ones were mostly the best just because the storylines weren't so complicated, you could watch an episode in the middle of the season and still figure out what people were talking about (not that I did that, I just got my friend hooked and she started watching mid-season). In the later ones there was just too...much...drama (for me)

I know, season six is so great, but I don't like how Buffy is that helpless. Do you mind filling me in on what happened in the second half of Bargaining P2 (the second one), I had to go to work.
I started watching in the middle of season three, during the repeats on F/X, several weeks ago. I used to love the Buffy movie, and I wasn't doing anything so I figured I would try out the tv show. The episode I watched was The Zeppo, and I was hooked within five minutes. Best. Show. Eva.

I started to watch it from the beginning. It sounded good, and I've not been disappointed. At least not until the season four... It was an horror. I couldn't stand Ridley, and the story, from my point of view, wasn't interesting at all. The seasons 5 and 6 were good, but not much than the first seasons (1, 2, 3). My sister was also a huge fan of Buffy. She became blonde for look like Sarah M.G ! I also remembered that she fought her pillow with all the movements that she saw in the show... Memorable :D

Thank you Purplepenguin!
Yeah, I liked the movie, but I had never seen the show. It does look alot worse next to the show. It also helps that, in my opinion, I've only seen like two bad movies in my entire life. I'll just watch something and like it no matter how everyone else sees it...
Oh yeah, about a week ago I finished the second season of Buffy, so I've now seen season two, half of three, half of four, and five. I missed a week of season four episodes while on vacation with my extended family. And a week after that I got my entire family hooked on buffy when I was on vacation with my close family.
And I love the way Joss does ships. So far, I've liked every single ship except Buffy/Riley in the end, which soured for me because I wanted Buffy to hook up with Spike, and ditch Riley. But Spuffy is definitely my favorite ship. Of course, I only like ships in the series, not that made-up Spangel ship. *shivers*
And my favorite characters are a tie between Anya and Spike, and so far I've loved all the seasons I've seen equally.

I always have and will LOVE Buffy, but IMHO the downfall happened when Buffy had other love interests besides Angel.
So true, so true.......but really I don't think she ever loved anyone else so the others don't count in my book. Yes, I may be in denial.
OMWF was one of my favorites from the later seasons. It was really funny, but uh, no offence but not too many of them sang very well. And I hated the spuffy kiss at the end, ugh.

For any of you Willow/Tara shippers. Joss Whedon had actually written a storyline for Tara to come back before the season ended. For Willow to get some closure on Tara's death. But Amber Benson had scheduling issues and couldn't come back.

ya, but its the kinda show that has just as many new viewers now, as it did 2 years ago. I wouldn't post Firefly spoilers even though it was cancelled three and a half years ago, because I know about all of the new people, and I know there is still new and exciting energy around it. Especially since 2 episodes are shown every day on FX and others on some other channels too, so its not like an old two year old show that has been forgotten. I come on the forums to enhance my enjoyment of a show, and I think there should be some guidelines, no matter how old it is.

Here is a little Buffy-related news:
We had a great conversation(Kristen and James Marsters) and I worked in many of the questions you guys had sent in to me today (thanks for those!).
I won't be able to post the complete interview for a couple weeks (SO sorry, I sweart to you, it is out of my hands), but a few highlights for now:
Joss *has* called him about a Spike Movie!
He's doing "at least 10 episodes" of Smallville.
And ... he WILL be in the very first episode of Smallville.
The full interview will run on Aug. 19, so sit tight!

I LOVED Once More With a Feeling, even though my brother couldn't stand it. I loved Anya's song about bunnies. Why DO they need that good of eyesight? LoL

I miss Buffy :(
Yea I am still a big BUFFY fan but I thought ANGEL was even better two of the best writen shows of all time.
Yea I am watching Buffy right now its the one where Angel turns back into Angelous god he was so evil as Angelous. People at work make fun of me about how I am a huge Buffy/Angel fan but I don't care. That show actually made me cry especially the one where after Spike got his sole back and Buffy and Spike are in that church Spike is talking crazy and he says "they all say go, go to hell. And she shall apond him with love and he shall be loved" he leens up against the cross as his skin begins to burn and says "Buffy can we rest. Can we rest now." And a single tear rolled down my face. I said that was a good part. James Marsters is a vampire king. And I'm not a girly man either I like football and NASCAR and fishing. But I also love kittens.
Yea or the Angel episode where Angel gets that blood of the Mora demon on him and he turns back into a living man. Buffy and Angel spend all day in bed making love and eating ice cream. I knew no way Angel was going to stay that way but I loved it while it lasted. Oh by the way Liz will you marry me? Tenn. Isn't that far away from Maryland we can make it work. I've been to Bristol Tn on the border of Virginia and Tn.

Buffy was my last obsession, but now Lost has completely taken over my mind. But I still do watch Buffy episodes every once in awhile. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD. I loved season 2. I loved Becoming part 1 and 2. That was so sad when she had to kill Angel becouse he had turned evil. And then right when he turned back she kissed him and then killed him. I remember season 6 was very emotional too. I liked the episode where they brought Buffy back from the grave. And I couldn't believe it when Tara was shot and then Willow totally lost it. I liked the last episode, but I thought it should have been longer, and I really didn't like Anya's death. I thought having her slashed in half was just put in their to shock us. It was sad when it ended, but after 7 years I thought it was about time for the end.

I love Buffy so much! I am going to buy the new collectors edition thats coming out in a month or two. The show is amazing, and I love the special feature on the season 7 disc about how Buffy changed American culture. So whenever people tell me its really lame that I'm so obsessed with an old tv show, I just think about that. :)
purplepenguin91
09-24-2005, 07:31 PM
Ya its my favorite tv show too, and it'll always be with me, and I don't think I'm gonna go more then a couple of weeks without watching an ep of Buffy for the rest of my life :) (once I get the dvd's) But I have to say that Firefly has a special place in my heart because it's lik the first show I really got into, I'm kinda a latecomer to Buffy, and still havent seen it all. Oh, and you know how I posted earlier about me watching them Star Wars style, well now I am on season 2, and I just finished the ep where you find out that Oz is a werewolf and Willow and him first kiss. It was so sweet (Oz is my all time second fav character in the series) I was like squeezing a pillow while I was sitting there, and it took all my concentration to not go awww lol, because then my family would have laughed at me...But it's also really sad cause I know how he leaves and how sad Willow got :(
Ok, off to watch the next ep. I think I have become a serious tv addict. If I dont watch a whole season of something, Buffy in particular in a weekend, then I feel like I havent watched enough tv.
On www.Buffy.nu which I'm sure you all know is THE source for Buffy Angel Firefly news. One story on the 23 talked Spike Illyria. Word for word it reads
Amy said Joss Whedon has spoken with her about resurrecting her role as Illyria. "He has mentioned it a couple of times," she told me. "I mean, the last time, I talked to him a couple weeks ago and said that I had heard that Tim Minear was gonna write and direct the Spike movie, the Spike-Illyria movie, so he said that they want to do that still. I think he’s just overwhelmed a bit right now with the press for Serenity and everything!" She said she and Joss have stayed close, and he gave "the best gift ever" to her eight-month-old bundle of joy, Jack: "He had a woman come in and teach him how to sleep through the night." Always a miracle worker, that Joss.
Alot of the old cast members had there pictures taken at the Serenity movie premire so atleast they are all still in contact and they all know of the need to revive the Buffyworld. I urge you all to check this site out but I'm sure most of you already know about it.

amber benson was scheduled to return in conversations with dead people but somewhere between her not wanting to return as she didn't want to the character to finish that way and scheduling issues i think everyone is glad it didn't happen.
would have been one of the worst things ever.
buffy for me helped me alot in my life - it cam along in a time when i really needed something to hold on to and it didn't let me down.
the show was a great big metaphor for life and when people ask me why i love this show so much i just tell them to watch it, and if they still don't get it then they don't get me.
honestly there are not enough words in the world to show how much this show means to me - and it might seem stupid but if you really are a fan you will know what i mean.
it does annoy me that people who say they are the biggest fans don't know the simplest of things - joss address that greatly when the buffybot pronounced the g-mans name guyles.
i must say that without doubt my favourite episode is earshot and one that i feel very strongly about. the worst decision was to take that off the air.
faith, anya and xander are my absolute favourite characters.
i remember the day my love for anya grew so much in the body - that one little speech makes me cry just thinking about it. and sums up so much the way i think of death.
i don't think there were any really bad seasons. i think its weird that most people blast season 4 or 6 yet these were the years that brought us some of the absolute best episodes. Hush, restless, omwf, the gift are a few major ones.
even in the 'bad' episodes there were moments that could never be forgotten.
i must also declare that i am and will always be a buffy/angel shipper
i can also say that i must with the minority in the 'i hate spike' fan club. i really don't get how he can come in and take over two shows and it doesn't seem to bother anyone else.
no dissrepect to james who is an amazing actor and so adorable.
i feel i must also state that i have 2 buffy related tattoos
"love is immortal" on my wrist and the heart in the middle of a cross seen on numerous buffy items. just to add to my obsession and how much this show means to me

i loved this show too but since LOST and the OC and Prison Break showed up its not as exciting...
I so think that Buffy and Angel should have been together in the end...
I do think Angel should have had way more of a role in the final episodes of Buffy. Instead he just punched Caleb and watched the fight. Oh here's this all important necklace that I got from WR & H your cookie dough and I'm not getting any older, later babe. That scene didn't make me cry, but I can't hear "Wild Horses" without shedding tears.
Yea Sugar Slayer I think you are one of the few that hated Spike. I mean I didn't want him to be Buffy's lover but the show ended before they got to deep into that one. Later on Angel she ends up with the immortal in Italy. I always thought Spike was the funniest person on either show. And what a faked accent I mean the guy is really from Southern Cali. I saw an MTV London show when the 5th season DVD came out. It was David and James doing something to promote the DVD.The British MTV girl was quite impressed with his London accent. I have downloaded the "Beneath You" scene in the church audio, at www.wavsite.com they have the 7th season wav audio for download along with 4th season angel and Firefly. Its just ripped audio from the show. Check it out.
Favorite(one of them) Buffy episode- The one with those creepy looking dudes that took voices and most of the episode was acted with no spoken words. Brilliant.
Favorite Angel episodes- "Lullaby" Birth of Conner. Darla kills herself in the rainy alley Then Holts comes out crossbow pointed at Angel. Then I'd say the last 6-7 episodes I thought Amy Acker was stunning as Illyria. A complete reverse from Fred I didn't think she could act that good. Gotta throw "Smile Time" in there.
You can download the entire 5 min scene just scroll down to the bottom of the page. If you do check it out. If you want to try to find the "spark".

Amen. I think the Angel episode 'I Will Remember You' where he was human should have been the last episode of Buffy. Instead of him having to turn back to a vampire again, he should have stayed a human. I also think that since they made love when he was technically a human, she could have gotten pregnant with his child. *sighs*
'I will Remember You' was the most touching episode of the whole series. I cried so much and tears come to my eyes even now thinkin about it.

I liked Spike better when he was evil, not when he was Buffy's whiny little puppy dog.
Anya in The Body, was amazing it told how different she was from all of them. I loved Selfless too!
I liked when Buffy and Faith switced bodies, Sarah and Eliza did an excellent switch of characters.
I am a Buffy/Angel shipper, because I didn' t like her with anyone else. But I think they grew apart. If Buffy didn't switch networks or if they had more crossovers it could've been more. Or since Spike took over Angel maybe not.
Did anyone hear anything more about the Spike-Illyira movie?

I am a Buffy/Angel shipper, and a Buffy/Spike shipper, and also pretty much all of the others. Because I think Joss does an amazing job with all of them.
Amber Benson should have come back in CwDP, I loved Tara! And I heard it was just scheduling, not because she didn't want to come back.
I heard about the Spike-Illyira movie, personally I think it should be put on hold until after all the Serenity and Firefly stuff :)

Joss said Amber couldn't come back because of scheduling issues. But when he talked about it at the convention it wasn't for CWDP it was for an ep. towards the end of the season. He actually got kind of teary when he was talking about it. Just the way he explained it in detail made us all go awww. I actually think it would've worked if they had gotton to film her little part. Since I'm a Willow/Tara shipper.
It was definitaly not because she didn't want to come back. She the sweetest and niceist person you can meet. She was talking to me and few others about Joss for awhile. She kept saying how great he was. She's a writer and he let her write a story for his Tales of Slayer comic series.

Um, as half of Lost Forum probably knows by now, I'm frighteningly obsessed with Spike and Spuffy. Also, my favorite season is 7. Yes, yes, very unpopular opinion, but what can I say?...Anya flashbacks, Andrew hilarity, scary morphy First scenes, and an absolute overdose of T.L.S. (Tender Loving Spuffy)...it has it all. Only thing I can't stand is Kennedy. Like many of you, Willow/Tara will always be O.T.P. as far as I'm concerned.

I always loved Buffy, it's my one of my favorite shows, Lost will probably always be number 1 for me though. Seasons 2,3, and 6 in Buffy were my favorites. I watched both Halloween episodes from season 2 and 4 last night. I liked the finale, but I wish Angel and Buffy could have somehow ended up together in the end.

My favorite seasons were 2, 5, and 7. Disagree about Angel and Buffy, though...I've always been Spuffy all the way. :) *cuddles my av*

I am a HUGE Buffy fan (hence my username Angelus. lol). it was my favorite show from the beginning to the end. My favorite characters were Spike, Angel, Andrew, Oz, Anya and Cordelia. Although I did like the others tons. Xander was always good for a laugh. And sometimes Giles said some of the funniest things. I hope they do movies for some of the characters...even if they were just TV movies.

I don't know how much truth is in this article, but they are in talks to continue Buffy in Comic book form.

Love Buffy, yay!
I've been watching season seven over again, once again realizing that I am in lurve with the hilariously nerdy Andrew (played by Tom Lenk). Stace just made me this wonderful signature and I cant help laughing whenever I see it. Seriously guys, go watch 'Storyteller' again and tell me how great it is. :D

I JUST made a Buffy RPG site/messageboard. The only character taken at the moment is Spike.
If you join, read the rules first!

I keep rewatching the DVD's over and over again. I used to only watch Season 1-3 because that's the only seasons with Bangel, but I watch them all now.
I am on Season 6(again):p Last night I saw Tabula Rasa, and I couldn't help but cringe and turn away at the end when Buffy kissed Spike:no: It only gets worse for my Bangel heart from this point out.
*Sigh* I know. But I still personally love that episode, it's so funny. "I'll name me....Joan", "I think I'm a superhero or something"

I like these quotes from it:
SPIKE: 'Made with care for Randy.' (looks at Giles) Randy Giles? Why not just call me 'Horny Giles,' or 'Desperate for a Shag Giles'? I knew there was a reason I hated you!
GILES: Randy's ... a family name, undoubtedly.
VAMP 2: Send out Spike!
GILES: They seem to want spikes.
SPIKE: Oh!
DAWN: But wait, what are they going to do with them?
VAMP: (O.S.) Slayer, come out and play!
TARA: 'Slay her,' that's just what they said before. (horrified) Th-th-they're gonna use the spikes to-
BUFFY: To slay someone? A female someone! (Giles looking horrified) Who do those jerks think they are?
ANYA: Bloodsuckers. They kill by sucking blood. Take it easy, Joan.
WILLOW: (O.S.) You guys!
 I never would have thought it possible for a show to have so many brilliant lines written into each episode.

I was feeling random, so I picked an episode without looking and dug out some quotes from it. And it's Season 2's Killed by Death... When Buffy was sick and popped in the hospital and she saw odd stuff. Or whatever... Wow. Haven't seen that episode in years.
Xander: Man, Buffy! My whole life just flashed before my eyes! I gotta get me a life!
Xander: She fell.
Willow: The flu.
Cordelia: She fainted.
Xander: The flu, fainted and fell. She's sick, make it better!
Buffy: Homework.
Willow: It's my way of saying get well soon.
Buffy: You know, chocolate says that even better.
Willow: I did all your assignments. All you have to do is sign your name.
Buffy: Chocolate means nothing to me.
Cordelia: Oh, right. Your obsession with protecting Buffy. Have I told you how attractive that's not?
Xander: Cordelia, someone's gotta watch her back.
Cordelia: Yeah, well, I've seen you watch her back.
Xander: What is that supposed to mean?
Cordelia: Well, I was using the phrase 'watch her back' as a euphemism for 'looking at her butt.' You know, sort of a pun.
