I really love Shannon and boone together as well as Ian and Maggie, I was wondering if someone could make me a avi and/or banner of them??

Thanks for the comments! I have 3 more that I'm working on now.

If you want to put one in your sig you need to save the picture and upload it to an image host (like www.photobucket.com) and then link it in your sig using the url tags.

Click on "User CP" on top bar and then click on "edit signature."

I had a hard time finding it at first too. I think they should actually call it "Control Panel" because not everyone knows what CP stands for.

Hey sweetie01x, I think maybe you should change the thread title (by going to edit of the first post) to Official Shoone Art Thread. That's what it's turning in too. I like fanart. Hehehe.

And Hermey, those are hoooooot. I like them. But I make my own. Still, those are hot.

I use PaintShop Pro. It doesn't have as many features to work, but it has quite a selection. It's also less expensive and it's pretty. I like it.

Yeah, avy's can be hard. Some forums only allow 50 x 50. :( That's really hard to make a decent avy.

EDIT: I just went over to the practice board, and it looks like you can edit the title. Just click "edit" on the first post of this thread, and then change what the "Title" bar says.

Those are from Lost-media. They're not actually screen captures but promotional pics. Their quality is much higher than screen caps.

Canada is an awesome place to go to school. I guess I'm bias, but we have a lot of foriegn students to have told me the same. I'm in the middle of applying to a bunch of universities myself.

University Of Toronto is good. http://www.utoronto.ca/ It's really big! I know a lot of people who go there and they love it. Toronto is going to be the 4th biggest city in North America in 2010 (after Mexico City, LA and New York) and it has everything you need in a major city.

And then there is Dalhousie in Nova Scotia. http://www.dal.ca/ It's also very big and has a large variety of programs. Nova Scotia is beautiful, and full of authentic Maritime culture. And Halifax (the city it's in) is one of my favourite Eastern cities.

The two you are talking about in British Colombia (U of Victoria and UBC) are also nice from what I've heard. I've never been to BC so I don't know much about it. Here's a good list of all the schools in Canada in case you're interested in more: http://www.uwaterloo.ca/canu/

And http://www.queensu.ca/ - In a beautiful, small historic city (Kingston - the original capital of Canada), and it's very academic. Most people consider it to be Canada's version of Harvard.

I have an AIM icon. Really simple, cause you can't do ANYTHING with them. ::Sob.:: (But if you have a picture in mind, I can try to resize it for you for AIM. Maybe fit a few words.)

Well, it claims 64x64 pixels but it LIES. Because if I want my AIM icon to not look completely messed up I have to make it 48x48. :(

Wow, I love all the pretty sigs and even the AIM icons. And Hermey, that wallpaper is amazing. It was hard to change it from my New Beginning wallpaper, but I did because of the amazingment. I have to go make more Shoone art. Well first, I have to do homework and watch LostAlias (it's one word now...lol).

It's a French novel. It's set up like a kids book, but it's a very spiritual and has a lot of themes/motifs that can be applied to real life. There are whole college courses dedicated to analyzing it. And the part I was relating to Shoone was the little prince and his unconditional love for this rose that he takes care of. She’s kind of a bitch and doesn't treat him very well, like Shannon, but he loves her and thinks she’s better than any other rose in the world.

I totally feel like reading it again now.

Ah, my favorite Ian picture, huh? Well... there are several, really. I don't have them here with me right now (I'm at my parents' house) but once I am back at my own place (tomorrow :D), I'll upload them for you. You probably already know them, lol.

There is this picture of Ian with a motorcycle which is really hot, and then there's this other one on which you can see his eyes very well, which, in my opinion, are his most beautiful features. (Does that sentence sound as weird to you as it does to me? Well, I'm too tired to figure it out anyway... you get the gist, right?) Oh, and by the way, I hope you had a great weekend. And FierceDesea, I can't wait to see your Maggie art!

My Maggie wallpaper is done. I worked for a long time on this and I like how it finally came out. She looks so hot. And I used lyrics from Sting's Desert Rose. It is so a Shoone song. Although words never really come up well on my wallpapers. I STILL LIKE IT THOUGH, DAMMIT!! Lol. Anyways, credits go to The Blooming Effect, Tere-Art, Lost-Media, and Jems from AllAlias.

Hee, I made a Maggie Wallpaper as well! (see attachment)

The pictures used are from lost-media.com and www.maggie-grace.com. It's a really great site for Maggie fans, but I cannot access it from this computer; I think it has something to do with my configurations :confused:

Anyway, the brushes used are mainly from Insomniac (which, if I'm not mistaken, no longer exists) and DamnApple. Texture is from just-dreaming.net.

And eh, I also attached my favorite Ian pictures. :smooch: There are so many great ones... I just couldn't choose! Seeing that you already know the motor cycle one, I didn't attach it.

Oh, and FierceDesea, I love your Maggie-art! The pictures you used are simply stunning!

FierceDesea, that's fantastic blending! And Desert Rose is a great song to use. The purple rose in the middle is a nice touch.

Oh, and I also did one with the motor cycle picture, like, 2 months ago, lol. Here they are... they're pretty simple, especially the first one. I made the black vertical bar for my desktop icons, lol. Oh, and same goes for the other one: the bar is for my icons.

Gah. Do you guys hate looking back at old art, too? I always see things that are wrong with it, or things I desperately want to change... :confused:

Sunglasses, Steph! :p It's like one of the only happy Shoone moments, so you can’t forget it! I love both of your Ian wallpapers! The extra blue eyes are really well done, and the textures are great. I'm inspired to work with those pictures. I was thinking of making a watercolor-like blend with my three favourite pictures, but I'm having a hard time getting his skin tone to match. :( And yes, I can't stand looking at old work. I always find something that I missed or could have done better now. My first few pieces are the most horrendous wallpapers I've ever looked at.

Charlie, that wallpaper is amazing! The blending and picture choice is perfect! And the colours suit the piece really well. Awesome work!

Smart blur some? Actually, there's no smart blur on this, but good guess! I figured out a cool way to make pencil like drawings, and then I did a couble of color layers and overlay layers of the original pictures to make the pencil drawing seem more real, and then I think I inverted a few thinks to get highlights.

To get the Pencil-look
- duplicate the original picture
- desaturate it
- dupicate the desaturated picture
- inverted the last picture
- set it to "color dodge"
- go to "gaussian blur" and make the radius like 17+ pixels

I don't know if that makes any sense. :confused: I did it quickly with pretty Ian!

Thanks! It's the best LOST scene ever, lol. It actually was quite tricky to get the images high quality... because the one in the middle was so dark! I had to use Diffuse Glow, Smart Blur, Brightness and Contrast filters... everything. :p But I love it now. The pic in the middle must be one of my favorites.

But you know, it was hell making it. I hope I won't get bored of this one soon, because I'm sooo not looking forward to doing another one. :confused:

Wow, I was thinking the same thing. While messing around with the images I found I sat there thinking "Geez these are dark..." You did a great job with that, they look so smooth too.

Chelsea, I just have to applaud you. Your (and Jenn's) site looks totally amazing. I've tried some HTML stuff and it's so frustrating! Not the HTML itself, but really making the layout. I've tried to make a nice picture for a background, but then there is the different resolutions people have, and screen sizes and argh, it never turns out the way you want it to turn out. I'm pretty proud of my ENTER-page, though. (go here: www.lost-realm.tk) I'm still working on the rest, but I'm thinking about giving it up, because the lay-out is killing me.

Anyway - I just wanted to tell you that I love your site's lay-out! Sorry for the rant and all. Oh, and the hearts you used in the lay-out of your homepage... are they brushes? If so, could you please tell me where I can find them? I've seen them used on various places on this board, and I really love them. They'd be great for avatars and stuff.

I love Photobucket... the only problem is that it will automatically resize any files larger than... what... 250kB? I'm not sure... anyway, that's its only disadvantage. It's one of my favorite album-sites. :)

I just wanted to post a wallpaper I'd started on a while ago, but that was never quite finished because I was looking for a heart-brush, which RoyalNeptune kindly provided for me. The brush comes from teh_indy at LiveJournal. Textures used are from Insomniac and the screencaps are from Lost-Media.com.

Kat, I wasn't a Shooner during Confidence Man, either. I was more of a Claire/Boone fan, lol. In fact, I thought Boone and Shannon were just brother and sister, and could not (or would not) believe they were in any way more than siblings. So... at the time, I guess I just saw it as an emotional scene between siblings. Now, looking back, I see that it was one of the most perfect Shoone scenes so far. :D

I know! Like, last Friday, LOST finally aired in the Netherlands (big YAY!) and we got to see the Pilot... it rocked. It's so much better watching it on TV than on the computer. Anyway... there were a couple of Shoone moments in it (and Boone moments :D) that I never really noticed before, but now just loved.

They inspired me to make this wallpaper, along with the lyrics of this song of one of my brother's X-Box games... "Believe me, I'm just as lost as you..." or something along that line. :o So yeah... that's basically what this wall is about. Oh, and yeah, the quality is a little low, because the screencaps weren't of very high quality... :confused:

Edited: I added a smaller, brighter version of the wallpaper, because my Internet browser shows the wall a lot darker than Photoshop does... :confused: Anyway... this can be used as a wall for computers with a 800*600 resolution. :)

Lol, well, the first one is in 1024*768... :cool: The problem's just that I can't really find any good, HQ screencaps to work with... Like, the picture of Boone sitting, that was a screencap, and I enlarged it and it just looks awful and LQ. *shrugs* I'll try to make a larger wallpaper next time, though. I'll just work with better pictures. :)

That's so awesome! I've always dreamt about getting something (anything) published! I once designed the cover for a school magazine of someone who lives in the U.S. She'd seen my Roswell fan art and asked me to design a cover for their school paper... or something like that. It was pretty cool. I should've asked if she could send me a copy, I realize now. :p
