Lost Girl Found Out!

Maggie Grace may be the officially designated hot chick on ABC's Lost (Wednesdays at 8 pm/ET), but her character, Shannon, is also the scripted-Survivor series' most obnoxious. So if we were her, we'd be worried about hungry plane-crash near-casualties starting to look at the vain vixen as a piece of meat in the literal sense.

"Like the Donner Party? Let's hope it doesn't come to that!" the actress says, laughing nervously at TV Guide Online's suggestion. "The producers are definitely pushing some limits, but between you and me, I don't think ABC's standards and practices department would allow cannibalism."

Assuming that Shannon doesn't end up being turned into bratwurst, she still seems likely to become a, ahem, tasty morsel for the island's menfolk. In particular, she has caught the eye of rocker Charlie. Despite the fact that this legend in his own mind is played by Lord of the Rings hobbit Dominic Monaghan, Grace predicts that she will have no difficulty acting like she's hot for him.

"Not at all!" she insists with enthusiasm. "I mean, it's Dominic! Have you met him? His English accent is incredibly sexy, no two ways about it! With certain L.A. guys, it's like, 'No. No, we were good until you opened your mouth.' But with him, it's like, 'Ohhh... don't stop talking! Thank you!'"

When the Oliver Beene alumna isn't fending off the advances of lustful beach bums on screen, she is making advances on them off screen. No, not that way! She just joins in eagerly when her costars start comparing notes on what the heck creator J.J. Abrams has in mind for his Lost world.

"When we get together, there's always some interesting discussion," she relates, adding that, of course, the unseen tree-shaking beastie is the source of the most speculation. "I think [the powers that be] have an idea of what it is, but they're not very forthcoming about it. [The cast is] pretty much on a need-to-know basis. But Dominic thinks it's an elephant with cats duct-taped to it."

Nat, that's such a coincidence! I was watching it as well yesterday. I had already seen the episode, so I wasn't really paying attention until my brother said, "Hey, isn't that the girl from Lost?"

I had no idea she had been in that episode! Well, anyway, I thought she was great, too. She really seemed afraid and shaken up by what happened... she's one great actress. :)

Hey guys I'm just passin through. I'm not that big of a fan of the show, exactly. But I've been watching it tonight because my husband says he went to school with Maggie, which Grace is her middle name not last name. I know her last name but I don't think it would be polite to post it here...anyway it starts with a D.

She went to the same Christian schools as him here in the suburbs but was a year behind him. He says she was always pretty, even in middle school. He says she never really was that much into acting in plays, but she may have had a few minor roles. He was the photographer for most of the school plays so he would know. He *thinks* she did a few modeling shoots for a local discount clothing store, but he can't remember if that was her or another girl.

He says he can not believe her character on the show...nothing could be further from reality. In school she was VERY shy and a good, sweet girl of above average intelligence, who did her homework and wore crosses necklaces but was a "moderate" Christian - not too zealous. He said she was very particular about her hair, always had it just *so*. His friend Jonathon was in the same class as her...so maybe I'll ask him about her sometime. He had a HUGE crush on her but never said so...I think most of the guys did.

Anyways that's all I know, for now at least! I was so excited when I found out...I've never known anybody really famous before...except the guy who wrote "Rainman", and now I know someone who knew someone famous "back when." :)

Actress Maggie Grace, who portrays socialite castaway Shannon Rutherford on the hit ABC series "LOST," asked Goofy for a little help in finding her way around the Disney-MGM Studios theme park today. The Columbus, Ohio, native, who has only been acting professionally for two years, is on vacation with her family at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

In addition to wrapping her first season on the breakout hit suspense series, Grace recently completed filming "The Fog," a remake of the 1980 John Carpenter horror film scheduled for release in October 2005. It's also been widely reported that Grace has been cast alongside Kelsey Grammer, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart as a mutant super-hero in "X-Men 3," which will soon begin filming.

WOMAN ON THE MOVE: Although she makes her home in Hawaii while filming "Lost," blond beauty Maggie Grace can't seem to get out of Canada this summer, with two new movies under way. "I just wrapped a movie called 'The Fog,' says Grace, referring to the horror flick she shot alongside Selma Blair and "Smallville's" Tom Welling. "I worked every day I was there, but I got to hang out with some 'Lost' castmates who were around. Josh Holloway and his wife are also shooting a movie there." Soon she'll be returning to Canada to star in the role of Shadowcat with Halle Berry and the rest of the "X-Men 3" team.

Now that Grace has had time away from the ABC drama, she admits that she's pining to be back. "I miss it already!" she claims. With the second season just around the corner, she's ready for the chance to explore her character. "I do know we delve into Shannon's past a little more and understand her a little better, so I'm looking forward to that." As for the show as a whole, Grace says to get ready. "I've heard some big plot points, and I'm pretty excited about them."
