Should we be looking towards the stars.....

The stars of Scorpius actually trace the outline of a scorpion — complete with two stars for its poisonous stinger at the end of a hook-shaped body.

ok so first step..I just recorded the sound with the sound recorder windows comes with and the lines were all f'ckd up so it wasnt a constent humming there is def something behind it
Then I heared more clearly the praying or moaning or what not and then the whispering.

hmmm how do I work with this now to eliminate the buzzing though

If you go to bigspaceship.com, it's a legitimate web desginer company. They do feature film flash sites for big compaines, one of them being Buena Vista...

If you look at the source the source, it's relativley similar to bigspaceship1.com with this at the top...

Been able to get the text "bigspaceship1.com" from https://thehansofoundation.org Ummmmm

Did a Whois too, on the above address (that bit's open to debate though as I don't know if whois takes account of the https:// bit) and, unless our friends have suddenly developed a love of wolf creek, the movie (and got jobs at disney) it looks the corporation took them out of the loop. Damn shame if you ask me , those guys gave me a life, for awhile.... :)

Does anyone know more than me? I'm happy to edit :)

Oh, and the constellation thing, love it, re-watched 'Adrift' and, if all the DHARMA logo's represent constellations related to Apollo then my money is on the shark (could be a line across = orion's belt) being orion, the hunter... :)

I'll tell you a change I've noticed on THIS site (lost-forum) and maybe it's just me but - I can no longer see how many posts each user has. What gives? Did they change it or did I do something to my settings? Or is this a hint about something that's going to happen on Lost. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON ;)

Guys...I think I may finally tilt my vote to say that bigspaceship1.com is FAKE. Read up here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_Hanso_Foundation) on the reasoning, which seems to connect everything to a particular person, and disconnects the website from ABC.

Wow - guys this is right on. The site MUST have something to do with it. It appears that these are a group of pranksters who for the last 25 odd years have been doing stuff of the radio waves. I guess they are having some fun online now. Here is something written by one of the persons responsible. See if stuff sounds familiar:

oooh, i'm not sure we can assume the bss1 is done by the the rodent revolution. it could be someone who thought they were cool and would make an interesting audio track and pictoral theme. for the site.

sorry, first time postie here

i dont know if this is the rite place to put this but i stumbled upon summit pretty wierd last night with all this talk of rabbits and what not, im going to put this back in full, but i need to go to school first and research it a bit better before i make a fool of myself, but i think lost has a lot more to do with watership down than has been given credit for

i need to check out the parralells as i havent seen it in ages and i havent got access to it atm

this was sparked by the "all rabbits down the hatch is from watership down" comment my g/f said. a stupid girly thing i thought at the time but then i looked into it a little and found some interesting things, but time is not on my side rite now

it could be going north to south, not east to west as viewed on the episode

but onwards with the watership down crap

these might not all be really that clever but they do link with the story of lost in some way, and this post will be added to and revised many a time

1. firstly the thing that got me thinking was when the others come to the survivors they decide to stick every1 down a hatch --- in the book/film the lead rabbit calls "all rabbits down the hatch" when the evil rabbits come

2. a male rabbit or hare is often refferred to as a "jack" rabbit, obvious that one

3. when fiver (lead role) visualises they are all in danger he decides to leave the warren and go to start his own --- much like when jack visualises his father leading him to the caves where he promtly starts to move people because of the impending danger apparently waiting for the survivors on the beach

4. in the folk story, when King Darzin decide to kill off the warren the soldiers dont let any rabbits feed and so they starve and some become sick --- when saiyed meets rousea (sp?) she tells him that the rest of her crew get "sick" and die, but she killed them

5. one of the rabbits becomes ensnared when making his way to watership down but is saved --- locke is ensnared by the nanobots (dust crap) and is dragged down the the hole only to be saved by jack

6. another obvious one, in the episode deus ex machina sawyer is reading watership down, good product placement, or was it??? also deus ex machina is also a chapter of the book watership down

if so, thats just the delay in your browser recieveing and looking up the redirect link. nothing special in that case. if it's something else please post a fairly descriptive account of what url you typed in the address bar (or the link you clicked) what buttons or pop up windows came up (window titles are fine, no need to transcribe everything on the window especially if it's about the secure certificate) and what happened next.

I dunno, guys, I just find it really hard to believe that people that are intelligent enuff to make a site like this (and don't make me feel stupid by saying it's easy.) would do something like link their site to LEGIT sites knowing that it would soon be found out by rabid-have-no-life-fans (ie-us:D ). Unless something like this really wouldn't get "them" into too much trouble (sorry, thinking as I'm typing)....can someone confirm this? 1. How did they get bss1 to connect with a legitimate LOST site?
2. Are they trying to screw with our heads or are they LOST fans and the
site is some kind of tribute?
3. Why have they stopped making changes to bss1-- are they in trouble for
linking it to a legitimate ABC/Disney site or have they grown weary of our
constant speculation?
4. How long are we going to pound our heads against a wall over this?

i don't think the rodent revolution controls bss1 (at least no more than they would tell you that they control EVERYTHING).

1) https://thehansofoundation.org/ used to say "bigspaceship1.com" but it's been removed. without that. there is no connection.

3) dunno, they may have caught flack because of the 1-800 number that was posted.

nice catch. we'd seen the smartdust stuff and mathew's info, but i hadn't noticed the creosote link.

my guess is that smartdust did the flash work for the hanso site. for a while bss1 and the hanso site were at the same ip. but sometime around the 8th, bss1 moved to a new ip. it could be that bss1 is a development domain that is moved around as projects warrant.

since the hanso site wasn't using a secure site (no e-commerce, so no need for secure version) the default index.htm file that keeps directory contents from displaying (if the server is set to do dirs) was left behind when the hanso site content was moved to the hanso server and bss1 was moved off to it's current ip.

once people saw the bss1 text and started hitting his server he took advantage and started updating content. maybe the bandwidth got too expensive or blowback from the 800 number fiasco has kept him from changing bss1 from the relatively small lost.swf file thats up now.

i'm still monitoring bss1 for changes though and will post if i find any.

oh and one more thing. i've been looking into the rodent revolution and (since they are a pirate radio group) a bunch of shortwave radio sites. there's a site that lets you stream clips from a shortwave tuner online : http://www.chilton.com/scripts/radio/R8-receiver the clip sounds a LOT like the audio in the last flash file.

could the looped static be an attempt to simulate the hours of static you'd hear when tuned to short wave radio listening for a pirate broadcast? maybe bss1 will change to new content sometime in the middle of the night like a pirate broadcast then switch back afterwards?

just a thought. and i don't want to be the one to monitor that url at all hours of the day just in case. a history of rodent revolution transmissions might narrow down times and days that they have broadcast before. to expect someone to be at the url for a short broadcast window seems silly. maybe we will get a week of activity then nothing for some amount of time?

d'oh the frequency was changed and it didn't sound like the audio i heard earlier today. i used the controls to switch it back to USB (based on the last 25) but i can't remeber what time it was exactly when i heard the clip that had a very similar buzz to the bss1 audio.

In my boredom, I was looking back over some old posts about the Orientation video. Some people spotted a white thing on Dr. Candle's face during the video, and they thought it looked like a swan. Upon closer inspection, and in light of the polar bear pic, I am thinking it looks like a scorpion. Any thoughts?

1. How did they get bss1 to connect with a legitimate LOST site?
2. Are they trying to screw with our heads or are they LOST fans and the
site is some kind of tribute?
3. Why have they stopped making changes to bss1-- are they in trouble for

Ok so maybe it isn't THE rodent revolution afterall but whoever is behind bss1 knows about it and is referencing it (and I still wouldn't be surprised if it was the actual pranksters that were behind this rodent revolution thing).

Everything really does point to my original theory that it is a fan site/prank and the people behind it hacked their way in or had access to the disney site and planted it there. The fact that the hanso site no longer has bss1 on it should speak volumes as to whether or not bss1 is a Disney site.

Thank you so very much for the warm birthday wishes!!!! By the way someone was kind enough to buy me season 1 on DVD and I can't wait to watch them!

the first palette is already transparent, the second is black and the third is white. normally the transparent palette is on a white bg so you don't see the scorpion in palette 3. but on a coloured bg...

oo I guess I did it the stupid way..I just opened it in paint and used the *fill with color* tool to fill the white parts with black...:S I feel stupid now Im gonna go hide under a rock lol ;)

BTW the reason why I chose black was because of that little part of black on the bear, it made me uneasy like its not supposed to be there...

the page was a live running list of which IPs accessed any bss1 page. and the links that refered them to bss1 (you could click on the links and see threads where people had linked to bss1)

it's been forbidden now, because there can be security concerns about posting that info online (hackers use it to look for ips to attempt to gain access to) but mostly i think it was because THAT was now driving more traffic than the site was.

i guess i shouldn't have posted the link on the 4 bss1 forums i'm active in, but i felt people should know that thier IPs were being listed online.

my history refreshed to the forbidden page for most of what i saw when i was poking around last night. but one report page stayed. i grabbed the html but not the style sheet :( so the formatting is whack, but here is the first page of the report for the last 7 days of referers sorted by # of referals:

you'll notice that by far the most hits have no referer. that means the user just put the url into the address bar and kept hitting "reload" (the button must be pushed!)

Oh I can't remember who it was that mentioned it (maybe you lxicon) but someone said something about the Rodent Revolution and how they broadcast on the pirate radio in the middle of the night and only other rodents know when they are going to do it.

Well what if that is what that "meet at 22:00 local time" meant when there was that picture of the mouse on cheese. Maybe they changed the page right at that time and then changed again real fast. I remember that back a few days ago the page was changing quite frequently, I don't remember what the next image, song and Morse was though. Again, Lxicon you have all this down somewhere right?
Or maybe 22:00 local time on 2FEN06 is when they will broadcast again??

I don't know how the map fits in though, maybe that is were they are located Theory, I don't know.

Has anyone tried to look for known files on the site. I remember playing the Metacortex ARG (Matrix) and one site had a bunch of clues in the image that turned out to be file names...

There were a whole list of them too, there was a .doc, .txt, .mp3 and .jpg all with the same prefix right off the main page that gave the cluess for the next site.

in the image menu -> adjustments -> equalize, and it came up straight away, the map and the writing..

I ran some stegg software to see if anything was hidden in the file and there were no text or wave files nothing to point us in another direction or to the next clue.

But I think, and this is only speculation, the naming scheme of the file may be important. Why name a file 04-23-2006.jpg???

Guys, I don't mean to be rude or offensive or anything! But honsetly, this site has already been proven fake. There is NOTHING to decipher.

For example, some dude posts a weird message on his site like"Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope." You're never going to find out what it means, cause it doesn't mean anything. In this case, it is just a starwars quote. Nothing else.

If this site actually was a real Lost website, then I could undertsand. You're wracking your brains around weird codes and images that are completely RANDOM. They mean nothing, so there is no point in trying to understand them. See what I'm saying?

DykeZuki's got a point. the fun was in the puzzel solving. the draw was from lost. and now that the lost link is more 'dubious' (who proved it was fake? btw) all we are left with is the unsolved bits.

there used to be test link hanso to bss1 but they've removed it from the hanso site. without there is little proff of the link. i still have a visual route report on hanso that shows hanso and bss1 on the same ip (66.132.217.121) but thats just a text file on my archive for all you guys know. i can't authenticate it more than saying "i didn't edit it" -thats not proof we can use.

whatever the bss1 is. it can't stay like it is forever. eventually they'd have to sell the domain or use it for something else. bss1 could end this right now by stating they have no connection to abc/LOST on the site if they are concerned about the excessive bandwidth use it must be generating. abc/LOST could also make a similar statement, but i doubt a company that big would bother making statements about every website that people think are related to lost.

i'd very much like to see bss1 start up again. over all, it was quite interesting/odd/disturbing and i have enjoyed researching it.

...meaning he is way and everything is on hold.

The last clue he gave us was the weird latin quote. which at this point on its own, could mean a moth (maybe some clues in the ep title moth), months (unsure), or the zodiac (something to do with the different Dharma symbols) or a satelite (which he did basically show us in a previous flash file). I think the satelite is one of the best options we have as a clue right now considering a satelit takes 108 mins to circle/orbit the earth...

Then there is the hidden scorpian...and the clues on schizo and bipolar mental illness. I think someone on the island is suffering from some sort of menatl illness that will become appearant later on in the season. The clue to who that is, is 2FEN06 which from what i can tell is a chemcial of some sort, maybe found in the medication for Bipolar and Schizo disorders....

Think of the image...without the 2fen06 in their system they display two personalities and with it they become a whole person. the two bears coming together with a small red pill inside. My guess is it is Ruesso...

Any thoughts??

I think you need a program to convert swf file to FLA files from which you can take any item in a flash files library and export it. I used to have a copy of the program but lost it when my pc crashed and never installed it again, you can download them but to get the full functionality you need to pay. That is what you need to get at those images...

yup. i downloaded the demo version of Flash Decompiler 2.0 on oct 13th. it's functionality is limited but enough for these simple .swf files. that's how i got audio and pics in my archive. -before that i was using screencaps and recording the soundcard output to .wav files... it's much easier with the decompiler.

I have an idea that I wanted to share and ask for some help with. There are so many clues that have been in lost as well as on the different websites (official and unofficial, including all of the strange photos/sounds, etc.), and on so many different forums. I have been trying to look through the forum to find everything, but there is such a massive amount of messages it is hard to sort through. I was really happy to find lxicon's site with all of the files, but was thinking it would be so great to find everything - clues and theories (not just from the official/unofficial sites, but from the show, magazine, sites about things in the show (like the illuminati type thing), etc.) all in one place, including guides to how to find the clues on the official sites, etc. I wanted to do this, however, this is a massive job and really too big for one person. This is what I am proposing: I would like to get together a group of people who would be interested in helping in this, including gathering and compiling information. It would be a team effort site. And I have a place with tons of room to host it. Anyone interested?

that DOES sound like quite a bit of work... you might try registering on the http://www.lostpedia.com/ site. any member can edit or add to a wikipedia site.
-be sure to indicate if the site your are adding is an 'official site' or an 'unoffical, related site' so as not to confuse anyone who visits, or anger any of the other contributors who might not like unofficial sites listed as being official.

you're welcome to use the content i cached from bss1 in your efforts. it's not my content, i just made copies.

i'm going squelch the pops and bird whistles down so i can normalise the rest.

odd sample rate 5.512kHz not 44.1kHz or 22kHz, might cause some trouble with the mp3 converter since it's not a standard encode rate. i'd get LaME on it but it's only 1.4 megs

i don't know when it will change. you do have to refresh though. it sometimes helps to go directly to http://bigspaceshipo1.com/lost.swf and refresh that. but that wont have the size correct, so go back to the page after the refresh to see it at the correct size.

The audio (not the background noises, mind you) reminds me almost of someone trying to use a radio or something, you know, pressing buttons, perhaps tapping against the speaker, the white noise. As for the rest, at first, er, hear, it sounds jungle-like to me. Mind you, I just got up, haven't had coffee yet, and am at my mother's house. Still...awesome news, guys! Just awesome. hmm i guesss there could be... i have the .wav and a mp3 with the volume pupmed up 500% in my archive.

my guess when i saw the pic and the morse in the pic, was that it's a trap to find those of us who are checking regularly and would post in the forums. or just to time how long it takes for the hits to ramp up after 5 days of nothing.

the audio sounds like it was taken from a cam corder. the beeps from changing the settings and the ticks and thumps sound like the lense cap swinging on it's tether and hitting the side of the camera (that's happened to me before). if it WAS a video then the audio might not have been important. they may have just wanted the video, but decided to keep the audio when they heard the odd bird whistles and stuff on it.

the car sounds and a few words in a foreign language intrigue me. but it's probably the tour guide on some ecco-tourist stop telling everyone that they are going to the next stop on the tour. has anyone recognised the language?

Yup I sure do. Likely an attempt to drum up excitement about the iPod Video. The fact that you can download Lost episodes onto the thing helps this theory, and may be the reason the link was on the original hanso page.

Also SmartDust refers to nanotechnology, and Apple has the iPod Nano....im all for the nanobot cloud theory also...

Just really sounds like some LOST/ABC/APPLE/IPOD viral marketing stuff...pretty common nowadays...we'll see though.

it could be... but at least that would mean it's not fake. who knows. it's still pretty cool in a bizarre sort of way.

oh and the new flash file has the same hd5 hash as the one from 2005-10-10 00:12:00 so there wont be any new data in it. the image is a jpeg so no palettes to hide data in and the audio is a .wav rather than .mp3 but there have been others with .wav files.

i'll look closer at the files to see if we missed anything the first time.

here was one of my thoughts about the devil's verse ("in girum imus nocte" means "we go into the circle by night", "et consumimur igni" means "we are consumed by fire"):

this has been guessed as "a moth" (which is a lost episode title) but i've also read:
"a constelation, which disapears with the sun."

- not a direct tie in to lost, but numerology and astrology are relatively close. can 4 8 15 16 23 42 be read as an astrology marker? or birth date? "april 8th at 15:16:23 (19)42" what would there their reading be? (april 8th is aries (and my birthday) but i wasn't born in 1942.

in this new file, there is a hidden image of a constelation! anyone recognize it?

I just found out about this today and have started to research it. For one, all of this is freaking me out. Also, I put the bunny in a beaker picture into Photoshop and changed the brightness and contrast to get this-

I have no idea what that white outline is, but it probably is there for a reason.

The morse code message that has been there for a while translates into latin and then into the "Devil's Verse."

I don't recognize the constellation, but there definitly seems to be something to the astrology/astronomy connection.

which is fairly interesting. The Large Orion Nebula (M42) is between +8 and +23 dergrees DECL...

I'm pretty sure the last line of the song is "Does anyone have a mirror?" -- which would explain the backwards 23. :)

man this stuf is pretty weird. i think it says: i think of myself as cuddly, so my theory is that since u cant see yourself, you need a mirror to see yourself. so if u think your cuddly but really appear as frightening to others, they will scream when they see you. i think that since ?there seems to be a message to a ship in the song? that one of the main characters will be killed by the others or something like that on the very last episode just as a ship pulls in to rescue the lost people, and then the others or culprits of the murder "look at themselves" and see what they have become. please tell me what you think.
