i think it's just a vision. Shannon knew he was on the raft (could explain why he was wet), was worried about the dog, and began to hear voices. sounds like the onset of the sickness to me.

what about sayid? he has heard them too. i think its more likely to be the others than the sickness but i dont even really think its that either. but in saying that, when jack saw his dad ge didnt hear the voices, but im getting into stuff that should be in other threads lol so ill be quiet
