I hate how all of these people saw that they'll stop watching the show if they kill off this or that character. I think that it would take balls to kill off a main character, and if they killed off a character like Sawyer in a way that would add depth to the story, why not?

Killing off a character won't ruin a show if it's done in such a manner as to heighten the emotional atmosphere of the show. What fun would it be if everyone made it through to the finish? Maybe they could all go to the island's local Chuck-E-Cheese and read Cosmopolitan while telling each other about their day.

Although I did NOT like Boone's death, his death allowed the other characters (especially Sayid and Jack) to investigate and know about the existance of the hatch. Otherwise, Locke and him would still be trying to figure out how to open it.

i think Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Locke have just as much chance as anyone else. though, if one of them were to bite it, i think it could be done it a way to make us think they've died but not really. if it were credible. and not hokey. kinda like what they did with Jin.

I really don't want Desmond to die. I actually like him. Really, I didn't think I would like any of the new characters 'cause I like the original 14 just fine, but I love Desmond.

Are you watching the show only to see those specific characters? If so why not go to IMDB and watch images of the actors themselves. That way you don´t have to follow the story that comes in the way of your little peepshow.

TPTB themselves have promised that they will never kill off Charlie and Hurley, as long as the actors want to continue doing the show. Plus, as stated before, Jack, Kate, Charlie, Sawyer and Locke are WAY too important to kill off now. Maybe when it's getting towards the end of the series, but definently not now.

And for the record, I think Desmond's going to die in Orientation... he's not in the guest list for Episode 4, so unless he goes and chills with Danielle, I don't think he's going to last very long on the show... shame, as far as minor characters go, he was a cool one... better than Ethan anyway.

That was my guess, but they did say that a character will be "written off"..
In the previews he is shown running away, he may just run away or something then we know nothing more, then find him dead later on in the season or something like that

i think it is more likely that someone will die midseason or in the season finale just to keep the suspense up, prehaps one of the "others" may die, or bit characters like steve/scott but i do no think any of the main survivors will die at this point.

I really doubt that theyre gunna kill off any of the four main characters (Sawyer, Jack, Kate and Locke) during this season, although my guess is that Shannon is gunna die during the episode focused on her (Episode 6), which would probably be unfortunate for the whole Shannon/Sayid thing going on. Either that, or it'll be Sun just as Jin gets back to see her again. That would make everyone feel really sad for Jin, even more than we are now.

Locke probably won't die at all, although if he keeps heading down the path he is now, he may die in later seasons. My guess is that Sawyer will die much, much, much later to save Kate or something. Even though that would probably be a bit cliche'd.

Jack probably won't for a long time, however he's probably gunna get badly injured at some point in time.

Anyways, that's just my guess.

Sawyer will one last kiss with Kate, i reckon. Jack and Kate belong together, i think they are the Adam and Eve. But its fairly too too early in the season, its only the first episode though, but i think it might in Everyone Hates Hugo. but it won't be desmond since he runs outside or if its a flashback. It cannot be Locke since he did'nt find all the answers as of yet. But he soon will. And it does not make sense Locke to die in season 2, it makes sense in the finale episode of the last season.

I think all the characters have something important to give to the story still. However, if anyone dies, I think it would be Jin to make way for a Sun/Mike story. Maybe they help each other through the greif of losing a loved one. They seemed to be hinting at something between them. I love Jin though so I would be so sad :(

Even thought they are the fav characters, thats jsut even more of a reason for the creators to kill them off. One of them may just be the ones to die

I voted "no", but I honestly don't care one way or the other. I just want to watch the story unfold, learn more clues and eventually see the mysteries solved. If some characters need to die ... so be it. As for tonight, if one of the main characters were to be snuffed, I would think there would be leaked hints/spoilers (as around Boone's death) that this was the episode, thereby boosting ABC's ratings.

Not just the bottle. He should bring the glass with ice in it that he had when Jack was "chasing" him. That's talent. Not only does he get served a drink while being a corpse in the cargo hold, but he manages to keep from spilling it while crashing 30,000 plus feet onto an island ... and prevents the ice from melting for a couple of days in tropical heat. I knew I should have studied medicine!;):D
