On many other threads, it is mentioned about the symbol found on the walls in the hatch home

Look at this picture, you'll notice a tin of cookies, look closely it and you will see that symbol appear on the tin box.

A tin of cookies! Where did that come from? Does Desmond let people have some of his food? The logo on the tin would make sense then.

hey, about the tin can and the ipod, it looks like eather desmond got killed or gave things for jack, locke, and Kate to give to the other survivors. So now everyone gets a nice shower and a free smoothie!

Yeah, I just enlarged it to 500% and increased the darkness levels to make it more visible. Even though the quality suffers a bit and I can't clarify it properly it is clearly the same symbol.

But again it is a tin of cookies with the hatch symbol on it. So one could assume it is some sort of prop. Or maybe the Food Kraft vendor created them for the cast as part of the theme of their meal for the night.

They are obviously eating Desmond's food. Maybe Desmond disappears and they just help themselves. What I like about the picture is Vincent: "Give me a cookie."

On the other hand, after so long in the hatch, perhaps he is eager for news from outside, wants to talk to someone etc. I'm sure a bunch of food items that he doesn't like too much (he seems a bit of a fitness freak, so perhaps he doesn't munch cookies?) would be a small price to pay for a bit of company.

Having said that, he is only confirmed up to that episode, so maybe he gets killed on the surface and the survivors take over the hatch.

So they raided Desmond's stash... I can only imagine how good it must be to have "real" food after so long.. now, where's Desmond? I really don't want him to die. I want more answers from him.

i know they have been on the island a pretty long time now, and it just shows how realistic they want this show to be...but i mean cmon maggie shave your legs every once in a while...man. If you look the whole left side of her leg has hair on it, and its not sand because on her right leg there is some and it looks completely different

Greetings, I can't pin point the thread s on which I saw the symbols for the Dharma Project but if you look close at the thumb nail it resembles the symbol on the sharks tail and not all of the other symbols in the hatch and on Desmond. It may actually be the snake symbol. Possibly one of the other station symbols mentioned in the orientation video?[B

you seem to be pretty good at this pcture thing and I am not. this symbol looks like the one on the Dr's jacket in the orientation film. can you get a screen shot of it and enlarge so we can see it better. this symbol may be the main one for Dharma Initiative. You see his jacket the clearest when is standing by the mini computer complex explaining about entering the code, near the end of the film.

As stated in another thread...
The symbol is the Buddhist symbol for the eight fold path. It is also a popular symbol used by the practitioners of Ba-gua chuan. It is like a compass, but is representative of the Buddhist followings. Typically it will have the yin/yang symbol in the middle.

If they are gonna be realistic, they should really show the females with leg and armpit hair. Cause the disposable razors are gonna run out soon, if they haven't already. A razor like Locke uses is not something any female would dare use on herself.

I just wanted to 2nd your post and say that I agree. The symbol is similar to "The Swan" logo, but the center is different. It doesn't have a swan...something different. This says to me that it came from a different hatch/station. So, the lost-aways discover (at least some of) the other hatches?!?
