I just LOVE Hurley so much.....:D

As usual, he had some of the best (comedic) lines in the show....
followed closely by Charlie describing Rousseau as "short a wingnut!" (something like that)....LMAO!!!

Hurley is from Omaha, NE, where I was born and raised. I have to root for him to make it off the island alive.

LOL! I was laughing at Hurley too but then I was thinking to myself oh no Hurley is going crazy because that's exactly how he was acting. He was acting like Leonard when Hurley visited him in the physic ward. I was just hoping that by them opening the hatch that it hadn't driven Hurley crazy or something.

I feel a bit sorry for him too but I was also wondering why in the hell he didn't tell Jack the rest of the story. He didn't tell him anything about Leonard and Sam hearing the numbers 16 years ago, nor about Danielle's crew hearing the numbers and that was what brought them to the island. I mean he wouldn't have sounded like such a nut if he'd told the WHOLE story. I keep wondering about that.

What I keep thinking, is what is Hurley going to have to do to get them to understand what he is saying about the number. NO one seems to listen, except Danielle. He tells Jack all this and all Jack hears is he was in a psych ward. When Jack said that, I was like, "ugh, Jack that's all you heard?? That's not the point."

I mean, the odds alone should tell people something. He heard these numbers from guy who is now nuts, he played the lotto and won!, bad things started happening, now these same numbers are written on the side of a big damn hatch buried on a island in the middle of nowhere. The odds of that alone are like a gazillion to one! That should be a sign to take Hurley a little more seriously!

So many questions would be answered if these people just had a big sit-down and told about themselves. But then, the show wouldn't be anywhere near as interesting.

My favorite:

Hurley: "Why'd you do that? Why'd ya light the fuse, man?"
Locke: "Why wouldn't I light the fuse?"
Hurley: "Uh..Maybe because i was runnin' towards you, waving my arms, saying 'Don't do that!'?"

I was cracking up over that line. lol :p

LMAO. I loved that line, Sandy. :p

I liked the part when Hurley was talking to Jack about the numbers and all the bad stuff that happened to him, and all Jack says is, "You were in a psych ward?". :D

Yeah, poor Hurley. To be honest, if I was Jack, I'd probably be thinking the same thing too. I mean, we all know Hurley isn't crazy and the numbers have a connection, but Jack doesn't.

I also noticed another numbers connection in this episode.
Hurley said in a season one episode that he was worth 156 million dollars.
Last nights episode, he mentioned that he won 114 million dollars.
And 156-114= 42

In "Numbers" Hurley's financial advisor was discussing how well his investments were doing. No to mention the proceeds from his over-insured sneaker factory and his lawsuit against the LAPD

He didn't really explain himself very well though so based on the info he gave Jack I wouldn't even believe it either.

I agree with Hurley that Jack sucks at making people feel better and comforting them.

it was so weird cause today in Writing we were going over Definiton Essays and someone did the word Tact and as an example used a Doctor telling a lady gently that she would be paralyzed for the rest of her life! i was like WOA FREAKY
