Okay. Desmond. The guy Jack saw running up the bleachers AND in the hatch. After they were done talking at the stadium, he said "I*ll see you in another life." That creeps me out like woah. My first theory, the first time I watched LOST, was that they were dead. And that quote just... wow. :thud: Is anybody with me on that one? I cannot believe it.

its been covered and, i think, confirmed false

But, why would he say that?

So that we'd all jump on the "dead theory bandwagon"? If you'll recall, Nadia wrote the same message to Sayid.

we'll see, wont we? even some on the island have sugested this idea, but the creators have said it isnt the case.

i thought they all decided that they get a second chance at life on the island
i guess thats kinda like seeing them in another life - its as far removed from their old life as possible

Well technically that would be "another life". They've left there other lives behind, I mean nothing in their lives are anything like it was before.
I'm wondering if Desmond has visited all the survivors in their old lives? Now I'm wondering if we are going to see him in all the others flashbacks. Has anyone else thought about this at all?

i think its sounds way off, but it is possible
locke was like "its allright jack, put the gun down"
but i think he has more of a connection with jack only
I feel like desmond is the one who let sara walk again, you know? he asks jack why he doesnt belive in miracles or whatever, then he shows him one?
and Id like to know all the crap going on in the hatch with desmond, what he was eating, what the hell he shot himself up with? why there was a window in his room with light coming in....

That could be a strong possibility. I do think that perhaps he is connected with the other survivors.

Didn't he say he was prepping for a "race around the world"?

Yeah I think so as well, I mean Locke didn't seem too be too ill at ease, but then again you never can tell with Locke because he doesn't really act too ill at ease very often. Though when Sayid shoved a gun in his face earlier, he kind of went all shocked and stuff. I don't know...but I'm seriously thinking that it's a big possiblity that Desmond has come in contact with the other survivors as well!

I think Desmond DID make Sara walk again, as well as Locke perhaps.
hmmm....

maybe he said he's see him in another life because the writers wanted to mess with everyone's heads.

When he said, "I'll see you in another life," I knew it might be an important line to remember.
That line freaks me out but I bet Jack isn't the only one who knows him. I like the miracle theory...that he made Sara and Locke walk again.

This is gonna sound dumb, but do you think Desmond might be like an Angel or a mystic or something like that, if he helps people walk again?

It definitely crossed my mind.

Part of me feels that way, but then I don*t understand why an angel would be holding people to gunpoint. I don*t know, I hate the whole supernatural/spiritual theories, just because I*ve always thought of LOST as REAL. Like... not saying angels and all that jazz aren*t REAL, but... I don*t know. I mean there*s definately something weird going on, but a lot of people have compared Desmond to a "Jesus-on-earth" kinda thing and I just don*t think that*s reasonable.

i think that "see you in another life" isn't saying something about desmond but maybe the island itself
thats also what nadia wrote on the back of sayids picture isn't it
does that mean she will pop up again or is it just hinting at the new life on the island that was given to the survivors

This is so weird. All these little things popping up everywhere. That line, the numbers. It drives me crazy, but I love it!

shannon said that and look what happened! i think nadia meant in in a cultural sense.

If "I'll see you in another life" is important to the show, Desmond calling Jack "Brother" might be too...

I don't think Desmond knew about the future but like someone said previously, it is alittle like Nadia writing "I'll see you in another life, if not in this one" on the back of her photo.
Just something the writers and JJ wanted in there.
