Hi...fairly new to the boards. Not sure if this has been discussed, but from what I've read, Jack's marriage will be further revealed in ep 2X01.

I'm a huge Julie Bowen fan, so I have interest in this back story. Ever since we saw the wedding in season one, I've had a theory about what happens, thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone knows more.

I have this feeling that Julie Bowen's character (Sarah) gets killed in a car accident. It's my belief she gets into the accident with John Locke, the accident which makes him paralized. The tilte of the episode "Man of Science, Man of Faith" also leads me to believe that this ep. somehow ties Locke and Jack together.

Any thoughts???...anyone know more???

Thanks.....

Maybe he was a man of faith, but something happened to cause him to lose faith. I think Sarah died, I just don't know how

thats a great theory, i didnt see that at all, hopefully there will be a flashback explaining how locke got paralized and how jacks marrige ended.

But... do we even know that Locke was paralyzed in a car accident? I think t's a good theory that Locke and Jack are somehow linked through Sarah, but that might be one too many car accidents to put in the show. You know what I mean? Like that kind of explanation would be too simple and a tad cleche

I donīt think Sarah is death, I donīt think they got separated because of that.
Iīve got the feeling that there must be a connection between Locke and Jack, before the plane crash, but I think that is something related to Christian, Jackīs father..... just my thought

locke had complications with his kindey transplant, jacks dad operated on him, messed up and made locke paralized?

No that doesn't work because Christian and Jack are from Boston while Locke was in LA and then in.. Africa I believe. Where is Locke's dad from again?

Well if Locke's box company is the same one that Hurley owns an interest in, that would put him in Florida. (At least if I remember the episode correctly, Hurley's accountant said he now owned an interest in a box company in Florida.)

I heard Jack in 2.01 decided man or woman he was going to operate? After that he chose Sarah. Maybe original connection of this tread has a clue? o_O

Thanx for posting that, wxanchor =)

locke was the guy jack decided not to operate on?

Sara's injury was on her spine, it was broken or something. I think that if Jack had to choose beetween her and another guy, than the guy must have been seriously injured too. In that case, I would guess that guy didn't live. Thus, it couldn't have been Locke.

Just a guess.

anyways, i thought Locke was paralysed 4 years ago ??? wasnt Sarah's car crash more recent than that ?

Do we know for a fact that Locke's paralysis is caused from a car accident?

they never said that his paralysis was from teh accident, no, I think it was jut assumed. I don't think it is Locke, but that would be a cool twist if it was

Ive always made the leap that Locke's paralysis came from complications from his kidney transplant....You guys could be right though.

Locke's Paralysis could have been from the kidney transplant, or it could have been from right after he left his fathers house, you remember how upset he was in the car, that could have caused him to have an accident, maybe even with Jack's wife. Or it could be something totally diffrnet.

Very good point on him coming back from his fathers.

We never saw the end of that flashback.
