Im assuming this episode will deal with the raftees coming "adrift"
Will michael survive? Why did they take walt!!!!!????

Interesting: Walt wanted to stay on the island until he had some vision when Locke --grabbed his arm-- but told his dad they had to leave..maybe he wanted to be taken and just put on an act? cause the person who took walt grabbed his arm, hence why he wanted his dad to trigger the flare so bad

When he had his so-called "vision" he said "Don't open that thing! Just don't open it!" He didn't know it was a hatch or really anything about it I think he just sensed danger. Michael finally told him that they didn't have to leave but Walt now insisted because he knew something bad was about to happen on the island regarding the hatch. No one wanted anyone to leave because they had gotten closer on the island.

And why wouldn't Michael survive? Sawyer got shot and it's already been confirmed that he's not dying.

I don't think Walt wanted to get taken. He looked truely scared. I don't think he was acting. And that thing in the airport was so long ago. Walt would have forgotten about that and now has a bond with his dad. And I think he wanted to leave because he knew something bad was going to happen. We still don't know Walt was talking about the hatch. It highly looks like that but we're not positive he was talking about the hatch. He could have seen further in the future. We'll just have to see what happens.

i always thought "Adrift" had something to do with sawyer cuz you know, the last time we saw him he was in the water and maybe he was "adrift" back to shore or something. when i think of the word "adrift" i think that who ever is doing the drifting is unconcious so they wouldn't try to find their way back, they'd just sort of float wherever the current takes them.

I wonder if Michael doesn't climb back on the raft after the fire burns out (and maybe Sawyer and Jin as well) so they're all adrift until they reach the shore with the tail peeps.

THe writers said that what is in the hatch is quite a big deal--so that must have been what Walt was referring to when he said to Locke not to open it. He probably just didn't know what to call it.

yes you did miss something. there's also speculation that the girl who threw the explosive onto the raft from that tiny little boat that took Walt was Alex but it really has no basis, jus kind of a far-fetched idea but it's what reminded me that Alex is female

I think Walt just saw that something bad was in the hatch, or something unpleasant would result from opening the hatch. From that alone, I think he decided they needed to get off the island. Maybe he just didn't get any sense of what was awaiting him out on the ocean. I mean, when you get crazy visions, you can't always be in control over what you see. ;)

that's true. I mean if you've heard of Mediums, Psychics, Seers, and other such people, they can't see EVERYTHING. if they could, well we might just call them Gods. Keep in mind too that Walt is just getting a grasp on his power and he still doesn't understand it. He might not even really recognize that he's "Special" yet. And I'd like to see you touch someone and tell them their future, it's not easy so don't yell at Walt.

I think "Adrift" might be a Sawyer episode because when I read articles about the DVD release party, they said that Josh Holloway showed up late because he had been filming scenes. So everyone else was there at the party so he could have been filming a flashback scene.

I also read that Walt wasn't expected for filming until recently. So he doesn't show up until a few episodes into the season. So I highly doubt this is a Michael episode. It really seems like it'll be a Sawyer one.

I think it'll be Sawyer if for no other reason than he's the most major of the 3 raft characters, and they do major characters first (this is sandwiched bet Jack and Locke.)

I don't know what's down the Hatch yet (obviously), but when Kate goes down, there is whispering in all types of languages (I heard French, because it's the only language I've ever been taught to understand beside English) and then Kate fell, and this, like, irridescent spotlight-looking light came from the hatch, with Locke standing at the top, looking down, and Kate screaming before she's totally silent. And it's confirmed that Kate gets stuck in the hatch. It is scary. So I can see why Walt was all "Don't open it!" I would be scared by whatever he saw too, because when I watched that clip I was freaked out beyond belief.

And here's the only info I have on 2.02:

"Adrift" is episode 2.02 of the season, and while it will likely focus on one of the survivors of the raft, it will also bring Libby (Cynthia Watros) on to the scene as a regular. Libby was supposed to be in her late forties to early fifties (although Watros will turn thirty-seven on Friday), easy on the eyes, amicably maladjusted, and a compulsive liar so good at what she does, most people will not know she isn't what she seems. Libby may have been in the tail section of the plane, but will we ever really know?

So I suppose it's either Sawyer or Michael episode, because 2.05 will be a Jin-centric ep. Hmmm...the possibilties.

Walt is in the first episode as Shannon sees him but everybody thinks she is seeing things. Jin is another one that wont return for awhile as it says Sun starts to loosen up as people think the others died including Jin. So i say the episode is about Sawyer it eould make sense.
