Hawaiian Shirt guy [Archive]

I read somewhere that J.J. Ambrams said after the finale was aired that we should focus on the Hawaiian Shirt guy at the airport. He said he will influence next season. I'm from Peru, and the final episode will air on AXN next monday 8th August! I have checked all about LOST on the Internet, I have possible explenations for almost everything I know but this. Can some one help me out? Thanks.

By the way, you guys just can't wait until September for Lost, I gotta wait till November! That's when LOST will probably air in South America. Season 1 aired on March!

Im pretty sure he survived the crash and Jin will soon meet up with him..

Coz that guy said he will always be watching Jin, and that he will never be free..
I wonder if he has anything else to do with stuff on the island..

Pretty safe bet that many people from the tail survived, including a certain african american actor.. :) And this guy, and a certain wife perhaps... Should be interesting, though now we pretty much know it is going to happen.

Jin will realise that there is no way, they are gonna survive! I think his gonna beat him up! :D Everybody else will assume that he has gone crazy again because of what he had done to Micheal! Ohh.. What if they become friends? He could speak Korean as well so maybe he will be translator for Jin :D :D

hey thats a good thought..He might help him out with korean.
Well lets just hope he's not such a bad guy,coz him translating for Jin would help out alot.Im sure i read somewhere that Jin is going to be getting an even bigger part in season 2.This Guy could come into the story line and sure mess things up if he's still bad guy.I'm looking forward to seeing both there faces when they see each other again.

Thank you for that photo J-Abrams. I really believe that he was on the end of the plane now and when he meets Jin there might be some problems. But anyhow, I've read that in the final episode Jin and Sun kind of reconciliate (havn't seen the final eppy yet!), so Sun could be a translator for Jin, not the Hawaiian Shirt guy

Well he was a good guy anyway, we have seen him in his flashbacks, he is not a bad person... but the hawaiian shirt guy told him that his never free and he will never be free, now if Jin see this man, He'll probably kill him because they are stranded on an island and no body is coming to get them! Jin is free and i think he should prove that to him! *Although he might not be on the plane :)*

Well he was a good guy anyway, we have seen him in his flashbacks, he is not a bad person...Oh no, I know Jin is a good guy, he's one of my favorite characters. I was talking about HSG in my 1st post.

1LT--that's what I was wondering. If Sun had spilled that tea on his shirt for a reason--I had thought it was so she could get away. But the people who knew she was going to try to get away (from Jin) might have told her dad about it. And then found out about his visit to his dad and that's why HSG was waiting to stop him. It could have turned out badly for her if she decided to run away after all.

I don't remember seeing him either, especially not on the back part of the plane. Maybe he was kidnapped by the others though? I'll have to go back and check.

From my recollection, he looks a little like Goodwin.

Edit: here is a picture of Goodwin. They do look very similar. Maybe there were others on the plane?

Well, Jin - thru his marriage, became part of an organization where almost everyone has someone watching them all the way to the top (Sun's dad?) so if HSG (hawaiian shirt guy) didn't do HIS job, someone watching him would perhpas threaten him as well. After the scene at the airport terminal, I'm suspicious of Sun, seemed to me she spilled that coffee on purpose to send Jin to the washroom.

This whole HSG thing is so interesting. It makes me think that maybe there are other (not Other:) ) survivors on the island somewhere. Bernard ended up in the jungle and not in the water, so...

To me, he looks like one of the dead mooks in the plane, when Jack, Kate, and Charlie go to investigate it in the pilot. That is, the one in the khaki shirt that's sitting with arms akimbo. Given the island's wackiness, though, there's no saying he couldn't pop back up, surely.

He looks to me like the guy sitting two seat away from Sayid during the final flashbacks of Exodus...the guy that looks very weary to be sitting next to an Arab. (Sorry..not much good at screen shots)

When watching this scene, that guy does look a bit creepy..
I think He was also the guy next to Jack in the bar.. Maybe he has something to do with all this..

Can't someone check the cast listing for the episode where HSG talked to Jin and then compare it with recent cast listings? I personally don't know where people get this info. but I have seen it on here for differant characters/episodes (like hurley/locke's boss, even though that was pretty obviously the same dude).

That could explain it maybe, but in some sense i also agree with tabjai that the writters may have just forgotten about this story..
