Your Favourite Harry Potter Book

I know there is a Harry Potter Book thread, but i decided to create a poll.

Mine is definatly The Prisoner of Azkaban. Though the movie kind of ruined it for me :( . I've read it sooo many times, probably at least 20. I Love it!!!!!!!! The rest are good too, don't get me wrong, but this one was just... the best by far. I actually read the first Harry Potter book, then went to read the second one but I just couldn't focus on it for some reason so i skipped it and went to the third one. In fact, I didn't read Chamber of Secrets until after reading Goblet of Fire.

The newest. It is horrible and heartwrenching and angsty and it had me crying for half of the time it took me to read it, but it love it despite the fact that it's made everyone believe my favorite character is evil--I hate that I don't know, but I'm convinced he's not--and it's so dark and dismal that it makes me feel like I'll never be totally happy again.

It's the dementor and it's sucked happiness out of me.

And I love it.

I havent read the new one yet so I'll just wait with voting till later but right now my favourite book is OOTP. It was excellent with a bunch of new and interesting characters that gave the book a fresh wind

I voted for HBP, because I finished it a little while ago (read it in 7hrs, yay my biggest achievement for the day, well my only achievement, because I only did that and went out for lunch lol) and I was absolutely blown away. It was amazing and heartbreaking and thought provoking and I couldn't believe it.

But my second favourite is GOF, then OOTP and POA.

Goblet of Fire is winning so far, yay! I'm extremely glad to see so many people like Goblet of Fire - no one here in my hometown seems to, they all make me sad.

Half-Blood Prince is definitely my second-favorite, though. It was much better than OOTP, personally, but OOTP was still good. But GOF was just so well written and planned out and interesting, because you kept wondering this book can't just be about the tournament, that's too lighthearted. Great book.

I have to say that HBP is my favorite, followed closely by PoA. I never thought that any book would overcome PoA but I loved this book, even though it's incredibly depressing and sad there's an edge to it that all the others lack.

POA is, without a doubt, my favorite. I loved OOTP, except for the times Harry went all angsty-teen. And when Sirius died, of course. HBP may be my second favorite now.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The first three books were overal still pretty tame and childish (duh it are children's books, so logical ;)). But the fourth one was so different and great it blew me away. The last two just couldn't do that to me, so my choice was easily made.

I can not decide. Prisoner of Azkaban is defiantly one of my favorites with the introduction of two of the best characters. Order of the Phoenix I absolutely adore cause I love the DA and all of the anti Umbridge parts; not to mention the way that more then just the normal three were fighting in the end. Half Blood Prince, while I think it started out a bit slow, quickly became one of the most exciting HP books yet. And, I think that it had the best ending of them all. So, yeah, I can not decide.

OOTP. I think J.K. Rowling did her best writing in this. The plot was fantastic and it had the perfect amount of action and flirting. HBP had waaayyy too much flirting and Ron and Hermione didn't even get together yet! I think that you know....HBP SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............

When DUmbledore died there wasn't enough grief. Hardly anyone cried and there was not a lot of emotion in it at all. I found it kind of repulsive that right in the midst of Dumbledore dying Remus and Tonks discuss their love. Nothing against the ship...but....you know....

Definitely "Prisoner of Azkaban." The plot twists were amazing (Lostesque, really)! I was so shocked when Sirius' true identity was discovered.

Also, that was one of the few that ended on a positive note. Then Cedric/Sirius/Dumbledore died, and I ended up crying nonstop at the end.

My close second is "The Half-Blood Prince", because Harry just became an amazing character in that one. He kind of reminds me of Jack!

Yeah I don't like the movies in general. They're extremely well-done, but I just don't think they have a chance at comparing to the "original."

Mine is also Order of the Pheonix! I enjoyed hating Umbridge. I liked them all a lot. The only two i was REALLY into were OOTP and GOF. HBP was alright, not much happened though. Its setting up for book 7 which will blow minds I bet.

Mine used to be Prisoner of Azkaban, I still like it, but the film kinda ruined it for me because it was so completely different to what I imagined. I really didn't like the teenage romance in the new one, IMO I don't think that's a strong point of JK Rowling's. I thought the plot was brilliantly heartwrenching though. So I put OOtP for my favourite, although my one serious annoyance at the book IS HOW WHEN CHARACTERS SHOUT THEY USE CAPITAL LETTERS! That really bugged me, seeing how Harry was so angry.

My favorite's POA...I enjoyed the movie too, but was disappointed in all that got left out in the Shrieking Shack. Sirius is my favorite character and I had always pictured him as Gary Oldman (I saw the first movie before I read the books so I needed someone Alan Rickman's age to picture as Sirus...and Gary Oldman is one of my fave English actors)

My second favorite: HBP

For some reason, my least favorite is GOF. It's still awesome but it just didn't catch me the way the rest of them did. But I am sooooooooo looking forward to the movie.

Well...thats all part of a bigger plan!

DD foresaw events (Malfoy's task etc) and pre-arranged with Snape that he should kill him if the situation ever arose where Malfoy would be forced to do it - I'd even go so far as to say DD advised Snape to make the unbreakable vow with Narcissa.

Remember when Hagrid overheard Snape and DD arguing, Snape saying "I won't do it!"?

When DD supposedly pleads for his life with Snape, I think you're meant to deduce that a bit of telepathy is going on between DD and Snape and that the "Please Severus!" is DD urging Snape to kill him, and Snape's look of hatred is at having to accomplish that task.

But thats just my theory, we'll see...in about 2 YEARS!!!:(

I loved HBP, even though Harry/Ginny surprised me and kind of came out of nowhere. The Ron/Hermione stuff made up for it, though. And I'm sure that Dumbledore's going to pull a Gandalf in book 7. ;)
