I started watching it but they bothered me too much. It bugs me how immature and selfish those kids are. I know I'm saying this when half of them were probably older than me, but I have to much respect for my parents and myself than to go out and do stuff those kids did/do. And I know that its not only the kids fault but the parents too and when they sit there and cry about how bad their kids turned out, I just want to yell at them and tell them that they played a role in that!
So, my mom laughed and turned it off after I started yelling too much and telling my dog how dumb those kids are:D

l watched it, l was laughing my ass off when all those kids started breaking down and crying. The part with themn getting letters from their parents was pretty funny too.
Sorry but l'm alittle cruel when it comes to ungrateful little buggers. LOL.

I enjoyed the two-hour premiere, it's interesting to watch taking uncontrollable angry kids and putting them in the middle of nowhere, without the distractions of TV, radio and all the drama in their homes. Sure there's crying and whining in the beginning, but I guarantee you they are going to be different as the episodes go by. The counselors are doing a great job handling the situations with some of the teens.
I kind of liked the 2-hour premiere, it's funny, interesting, and kind of annoying. It's funny watching a bunch of bratty kids cry so much and break down a lot. It's interesting to watch how the counselors bring thewm to a better attitude without being aggressive and all that. But it's kind of annoying to watch these kids complain about how they shouldn't be there because they did nothing wrong. They know what they did wrong and yet they still complain. And besides, the counselors are being as nice as they can and listening to what they have to say. The least they can is appreciate that.

I liked the one guy's reason for being there: Tries to Stab His Twin
LOL Movie guy, I know. The one thing that pissed me off, is that one kid's reason for being there: "Angry Punk" ....that's just ignorant and stupid. He's a "punk" so they just typecast him as the "Angry punk" I think that's ridiculous.
I didn't watch it, but I came across it, WTF was this, the "Phantom pooper" or something?!!? LOL And figures, it's the "Compulsive liar" that fesses up.

I thought it was "Phantom Duker" ;)
I thought it was pretty good. I agree how their names are pretty mean "Angry Punk" and "Hostile Outcast". I felt REALLY bad for the girl who was sexually abused. I'm looking forward to see them changing for the better.
That complulsive liar makes me laugh.
"Dude, I've done Cocaine, like, once"
"It came up postive on your drug screen"
"But-like-dude!"
and
"I don't drink, I've only gotten drunk, like 3 times, and I hate the taste of alchohol"
FLASHBACK with friend
"Rememeber that time we got really drunk and high in the car?"
"Yahhh, that was awesome!"
I started watching it halfway through last night. :p I don't like what they're doing to those kids, what does lugging 35 pounds of stuff on your back until you can't breath have to do with learning not to use drugs? It's just senseless torture, and those kids don't deserved to be abandoned by their parents to be left in some military camp. This is the parent's EASY way out, they're too lazy to discipline their own kids, so they're sticking them with someone else & basically saying "Goodbye, I'm not taking care of you anymore" When your kid is acting like that, they have a reason: you need to find those reasons, find out why they're so angry & messed up inside, and you need to be a parent & try to resolve the issues. Treating them like that will just give them another reason to be even more angry.
I know these aren't the most innocent kids in the world, and they're all spoiled brats, but come on...the girl was friggin' raped, for petes sake, do you really have the right to punish her because she went down the wrong road in life? It's not like they're the only people in the world that act like that, the world is a very sick & awful place, and it corrupts people. Personally, I don't get it, they don't seem that bad from some of the wicked & maniac people I've met in my life.
And WHY in the world would you put a kid there because he's HYPERACTIVE -_-; I mean, he has ADD (or something), that is a disease, isn't it?
Anyway, at least I'm honest in my opinion ^_^; Anyway, I'm probably gonna keep watching, I hope those kids develop into whatever that camp is hoping they're going to develop into :p

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe his parenst are into Scientology, and don't believe in Pills. :p I think he had ADHD. I saw he was Hyperactive, and all I could think is he's gonna piss that one big kid off, and he'd best the crap outta him

"Episode 103"
After the kids plot their escape and Isaiah runs off, tough new field instructors -- Aspen and Fire Shaper -- are brought in to help regain control. And the kids are taken on a hike through the snow... which turns into a raging blizzard.

I've only seen about 10 minutes of one of the episodes. I keep meaning to watch, but I always forget about it. I remember watching some show similar to it...with US and UK people...can't remember what channel it was on though.

I was so proud of Nick! it was so sad when he was crying when reading his impact letter...I'm so glad he got the fire burning and the necklace/bracelet
btw, did any of you catch which girl it was that said he was cute? sorry for asking (I'm not expecting romance on the show!)

I'm not sure which girl it was.. but she called him stupid, too. Very not nice. Was it Jada?

Ya she(Jada) was like 'Nick's pretty stupid, but he's cute" I was like :banghead:
I was crying also when Nick read his impact letter and when he finally got the fire starting. I felt so proud of him.
Oh, and they don't allow ANY romance, they made a point of saying that when Frank and Heather started "flirting" a little bit.

i watched some of the premiere and some of another episode but i failed to get into it because frankly i don't want to be reminded of how rebellous and an ungrateful little fart head i used to be. LMAO!! it's true though, i didn't continue watching it because i could see myself in each one of those little brats when i was around 13 to 15 years old. i changed on my own but don't think my parents didn't think of sending me to some boot camp or something to straighten my butt up.
now i'm the happiest i've ever been and i wouldn't think of doing the things i did when i was 13 to 15 years old!

i saw on the news tonight that isaiah, the "angry punk", was arrested for vandalism and a hate crime. he allegedly spray painted racist slurs on a black familys house. apparently the brat camp didnt have a lasting effect on him. if i find an article on it i'll post it.
edit: found one
The 17-year-old boy who allegedly spray-painted racist slurs in front of a black woman's home last week is one of nine teenagers who participated in a reality TV program to learn better manners.
...
Now back from the camp, the Atwater High School student reportedly admitted to Merced County Sheriff's Department deputies that he used spray paint to scrawl "spook" and "N---ers live here" in front of preschool teacher Angelic Royal's home on Palomino Drive early Friday morning.
Alarcon and his friend Christopher Farenelli, 18, wrote the slurs and drew a swastika in the street after a drunken night of partying in Ceres, authorities said.
...
Farenelli was arrested Saturday after he turned himself into the Sheriff's Department. He faces charges of suspicion of a vandalism and criminal conspiracy charge. He was released after posting $5,200 bail.

Ew what a loser.
I think Derek is adorable. I started tearing up when Lauren was crying and asking her dad for help.
My least favorite character is Jada. She's SO very annoying. And the singing! Oh man, the singing. That made me laugh. She's not exactly bad, but it was just weird. Or I thought so anyway.

My favorite character is Nick after he broke down and started crying when he revealed he has dyslexia. I feel so sorry for him. Jada is definately my least favorite because she's just a run-of-the-mill spoiled b****.

i think jada didnt/wont change because of her parents. they spoil her and she knows she can get away with it so she keeps on doing what shes doing. they should have sent her to that boarding school. she didnt stay cuz there was no internet access and cell phones arent allowed? whats up with that? then her parents are like "it didnt work at all"... i wonder why. she was never my favorite.
other than jada and isaiah, i think the others actually changed. i think the most sincere was shawn, i liked him.
so whatd everybody else think of the finale?
I loved Brat Camp when it was shown here. Some of those people are so stupid - Chavs as we would call them. Drinking, smoking, taking drugs for no apparent reason etc etc. That's a chav!
